Please Note: This post contains graphic photos that may be upsetting to some readers.

It’s been eight years since the horrific car crash that nearly took Chloe Thomson’s life, but the teenager still is reminded of her pain and continued suffering every time she looks in a mirror.

However, the brave 19-year-old from Gourock, Renfrewshire in the U.K. says that Facebook has helped her to love the way she looks and fight back at cruel online bullies.

Nearly every bone in Chloe’s face was broken when the car she was riding in hit a tree when she was just 11 years old.

Chloe’s parents prepared for the worst, as the adorable blond was unrecognizable after the accident and needed multiple surgeries to reconstruct her face.

Although doctors performed a miracle in saving Chloe’s face, she has been subjected to ruthless bullying in the years since then, many who hide behind a computer screen.

“The things the bullies were saying were horrific, it’s really hard to forget. It’s only recently that I’ve managed to get over it,” Chloe says in the Good Morning Britain clip below.

“It was a horrible experience, you can’t even describe how bad it was, up until fairly recently.” Chloe tells presenter Piers Morgan, who told the teen she had extraordinary strength.

Just a few months ago, Chloe decided to fight back against the bullies by sharing her deeply personal story and all she has had to overcome since that fateful day.

The miracle of life is a truly beautiful, amazing thing – and not many people know how extraordinary childbirth can be better than the woman who documents them for a living, award-winning photographer Robin Baker of Temecula, California.

On Robin Baker’s website Birth Blessings Photography, she shares her work of birth photography and portraits, doula services and placenta encapsulation. The photographer’s work recently went viral after she captured something extremely rare when shooting a father help his wife give birth to their twin boys.

“One of the most spectacular moments of my career was photographing this loving family birth their twins – peacefully and naturally at home in water!” Baker wrote on her Facebook page, mentioning that the photo above won the photo of the year award in Birthphotographers.com‘s delivery category.

[Birth Blessings Photography]
[Birth Blessings Photography]
In the photos, a husband and wife known only as the “J Family” can be seen delivering their twins the natural way. This is pretty rare, as about 75% of twins are delivered surgically and not the natural way.

What’s even more incredible is that nothing was unusual when the first baby boy came out, but his brother was born “en caul  ” meaning he was born still inside his amniotic sac, which only happens in about 1 in 80,000 births, according to BuzzFeed.

[Birth Blessings Photography]
[Birth Blessings Photography]
Normally, the amniotic sac will puncture when the baby is being born, but the second twin defied all odds…and Baker was able to capture it all on camera!

Baker told BuzzFeed, “These parents are experienced home birthers as they had their first child at home. They had 30 minutes of bonding time with Baby A before Baby B made his way into his father’s hands still en-caul.”

attack

There has never been a better example of a dog who is this man’s best friend.

Ryan from Melbourne, Australia, was taking his basset hound Baxter for an evening stroll when things quickly turned dangerous. Two unleashed dogs made their way over to Baxter and went straight for his neck.

Ryan tried to pull his beloved Baxter away from the dogs, but they wouldn’t let up. A neighbor’s security camera captured this chilling attack, and it stunned everyone!

Ryan told 7 News, “My initial reaction was to try to lift him out of the height of the biting dogs, and then one of the dogs pushed me to the ground.”

He then bravely threw himself head-first between the two dogs and Baxter, trying to protect his best friend at any cost.

When neighbors heard the cries from Baxter and screams of help from Ryan, they made their way over to the scene, and one man helped break up the fight by hitting the dogs with a plastic chair. Finally, the vicious dogs took off, but it wasn’t over for Baxter.

Ryan recalled, “One of the things that I still remember is him stopping breathing and then crying in pain.”

Despite the trauma, Baxter is recovering from puncture wounds and is slowly regaining his confidence. Ryan luckily managed to escape with just grazes.

Sweet surprises like this one just never get old!

Here at LifeDaily, we are pretty big fans of our military men and women. That’s why we love sharing videos like this one to celebrate their homecoming after being away for way too long.

In the video below, we see three little ones very excited to be at a Star Wars theme night at a Griffins hockey game in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The children belong to Sgt. 1st Class Joshua Headd of the U.S. Army Reserves, who told local news station WOOD tv that he had been stationed in Africa for the past 10 months, where he was working as an information technology supervisor.

Since Sgt. Headd knew his three kids, who are all between the ages of 3 and 6, love Star Wars, he saw the theme night as a perfect way to surprise his babies with his happy homecoming.

“It was a lot more emotional than I thought It was going to be,” Headd told Wood tv. “Oh, it felt great. I mean, it’s overwhelming.”

In the clip below, the kids think they’re meeting a jedi knight on the ice, but as soon as they realize it’s their hero in disguise, it’s such an amazing moment!

When it comes to car seat karaoke, you’d expect a little one to enjoy singing Old MacDonald and other nursery rhymes over classic rock anthems, but clearly little Millie is not your average toddler!

Millie’s mom Stephanie blogs about her life as a parent to two little girls and describes herself as “a working mom, a crafty mom, a music-obsessed mom… all in one” on her perfectly titled page boogers + toots. And in the hilarious and adorable video below, it’s clear that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree in this family.

In the precious clip that Stephanie posted to YouTube, you can see Millie in the back seat of her parents’ car, while Dad is behind the wheel and Mom records the little one’s unforgettable performance.

There’s no denying that “Bohemian Rhapsody” by legendary rockers Queen is one of those songs that you just can’t help but sing along too every time it’s on, but I haven’t seen a more entertaining version than when Millie belts out the lyrics in this cute video.

If Millie’s rock star moment doesn’t put a big smile on your face, nothing will!

salono county sheriffs office

On Saturday morning in Fairfield California, a dog was innocently struck by a car, who did not even bother to stop after hitting him.

The poor dog lay alone on the side of the road, suffering very serious injuries.

Salono County Sheriff’s Office posted a photo to their Facebook page of a man, who has been identified as “Eric,” laying beside the dying dog. Eric says he witnessed a car hit a dog and drive away without stopping. He ran over to check on the dog and called Sheriff’s Animal Control for help.

When a deputy arrived, Eric was sitting in the rain, by the side of the wounded dog, waiting for an animal control officer to take the dog to an emergency veterinary clinic.

The Sheriff’s office commended the kind-hearted man by posting the photo of him on their Facebook and saying,

“We would like to thank Eric for not looking the other way and driving by. He went above and beyond to help this injured dog. Please share and help us thank Eric.”

The following day, word of the dog’s passing was provided to the Sheriff’s office, and they commented to Facebook,

“We thank you all for your overwhelming support of Eric’s good deed and concern for the injured dog. Our community is truly amazing. We are very sad to report that the dog has passed over the rainbow bridge.”

Please SHARE this story to Facebook in loving memory of the dog, and this good samaritan who was by his side.

For this wildlife photographer, being licked by a wild cheetah is just another day on the job.

What looks like a terrifying moment for 57-year-old photographer Kim Wolhuter, was actually the exact opposite. The photographer had been working in Botswana in an African game reserve filming a mother cheetah and her four cubs.

Over the course of six weeks, the crew had spent a significant amount of time filming the animals. Slowly, the cheetah’s had gotten comfortable with the crew, enough so that one was curious enough to take a nibble.

According to Wolhuter, who was in the Mashatu Game Reserve when this incident happened, he wasn’t really afraid when the animal licked his toe.

“When she got really close to me and near to my foot, I thought she was going to swat it, but instead she had a lick and a nibble.”

“It hurt slightly, so I pulled my foot away, but she seemed to know to nibble gently. After all, a good bite would have gotten a very bad reaction from me.”

“She seemed to be testing me like a domestic cat would do with its owner. At no stage was I concerned, there was nothing threatening in her behavior.”

“She was curious and trusting, so it was important that I conveyed the same feelings and be as confident as possible in what I was doing.”

Therapy Cat Helps 6-Year-Old Girl With Autism To Communicate

iris and thula 1

6-year old Iris Grace Halmshaw is a little girl from the UK who was diagnosed with autism in 2011.

Her severe form of autism was marked by obsessive behavior, irregular sleep patterns, refusing to make eye contact, avoiding playing with her parents or other children and feeling distressed around people she didn’t know.

Mom, Carter-Johnson and her husband reached out to therapists and did as much research as they could to look for activities through which Iris could effectively express herself. They even looked into getting a therapy animal for Iris. They first tried dogs and even horses, but Iris didn’t connect. Then, one day the family was cat-sitting for their son and they were surprised the way Iris and the cat bonded. The family looked into getting a therapy cat for Iris and discovered that the Maine Coon is a great breed for autistic children.

When they brought Thula home from a local breeder, the fluffy kitten slept in Iris’ arms the first night. Iris appeared to relax around Thula, stroking her whiskers and ears.

“Thula loved all of the things that Iris found difficult,” Carter-Johnson said. “It was like heaven.”

Before, Iris hated the sensation of things touching her skin, like clothing and water, but as a water-loving breed Thula hopped right in the bathtub. And soon, Iris began to take all her baths with Thula.

If Iris became impatient in the car, Thula would walk over and sit on her lap to calm her down.

If she had difficulty sleeping, Thula would distract her until she had settled down.

Iris also began to speak. She would say, “sit, cat” and Thula would obey.

In addition to helping with Iris’ speech therapy, Thula also studied Iris’ movements as she painted or played, and encouraged Iris to continue.

“It’s beautiful watching this,” Carter-Johnson said. “We’re her parents and educators. It’s calming to know that she has her little buddy, and someone other than just us.”

“I’m hopeful for more improvements,” Carter-Johnson said. “One day, I want her to be able to get a job and live independently, and we will try our absolute best to make that happen. Autism doesn’t have to be this grim diagnosis — it’s seeing the brilliance in differences and embracing those.”

For now, Iris has her best friend by her side- her therapy cat.

As you can see in this article, Palm Springs, California is known as one of the most-coveted vacation areas in the United States, but it’s also been known as “Hollywood’s Playground,” since the early days of film, as far back as the 1920’s.

Palm Springs is a colorful, beautiful oasis, perfect for famous actors and musicians to escape hustle and bustle of Tinseltown without breaking the “two-hour rule” of needing to be close to studios for filming, according to Visit Palm Springs.

Famous faces like Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Humphrey Bogart, Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, and even President Dwight and Mamie Eisenhower could often be seen visiting Palm Springs gorgeous homes and delicious restaurants.

And there’s no denying that some of that Old Hollywood allure still lives there today! Photos from a picturesque Palms Springs villa have quickly been going viral, as the home hasn’t been redecorated since 1969.

According to Jezebel, the fabulous home has been owned by just two couples: the first, who decorated the 3-bedroom home in the style of the times, and the couple who bought it and decided to keep it exactly as-is.

Now, the stunning home is on the market through Berkshire Hathway Home Service for $850,000! Not a bad deal when you see many of the million dollar modern homes around today.

Check out the gorgeous photos below and let us know in the comments… Would you love to travel back in time and live in a home like this beauty?

service dog

Duncan the golden retriever is a Diabetic Alert Dog to his human who has Type 1 Diabetes.

Like many service dogs, Duncan was trained by a group of amazing volunteers with Eyes Ears Nose & Paws in Carrboro, NC.

When it was time to be placed, a man named Ron who has suffered with diabetes for over 30 years fell in love with Duncan during an interview with his trainer. He said, “[I want] the best of both worlds; a dog to call my own, but one that could keep me safe and let me know of dangers I could no longer feel coming on.”

Seven months later, Duncan was placed with Ron and the two bonded instantly.

Credit: Facebook- Duncan the Service Dog

Diabetic Alert Dogs are trained with scent, so Ron was instructed to provide saliva samples at different blood sugar levels, and that’s how Duncan knows when to alert his dad to check his glucose.

In the adorable video below, Duncan’s alert boops have helped Ron better manage his diabetes.

The juice box retrieve helps Ron bring up his blood sugar level when it gets too low- a response that has saved Ron’s life.

Ron says, “There was one night where my blood sugar had really dropped out on me very quickly in the middle of the night. I could not stop shaking… leaving me stuck in bed. Duncan went to the fridge and grabbed a juice box for me. I was able to get it down and come back to some normalcy. When I was able to stand up and get to my kit, I tested and my blood sugar was 37 after drinking the juice (which is a REALLY low blood sugar) … I’m always grateful to have him at my side, but words cannot express how thankful I was to have him with me that night.”

When Bark Post asked Ron if Duncan knows what a good boy he is, and Ron responded, “He does! …I think he can sense I’m truly appreciative of his hard work in helping to keep me safe and healthy. We have a very strong bond and I know he loves to work and be engaged.”

No two women are exactly alike, so where did everyone get the idea that moms-to-be with bigger baby bumps are healthier than those without…or vice versa?!

An Australian mother-to-be and fitness model has geniusly schooled everyone on what a healthy pregnancy looks like in the Instagram post below that has gone viral.

I was surprised with a cute visit today from a friend Nat who is also expecting 💕 Just being able to see someone in the flesh, rub her tummy, hear how incredible her journey has been so far, how healthy baby is & all the fun talk about kicks, food, names etc was beautiful. This is Nat's 3rd pregnancy so she had a lot of great advice to share ☺️ It's very clear in this photo just how tall I am, I mean my chin sits above Nat's head lol We worked out that we are 4 weeks apart, so our little ones will be the same age, same grade at school and potential best buds hehehehe….. Nat's due start of March & I'm due end of March. Each women carries different and this most certainly doesn't mean one is doing something wrong or not healthy etc. We both have healthy growing babies & we both have had incredible pregnancies so far, feeling amazing & full of energy. #21.5weeks #expecting #march2016 #pregnant #love #happiness #Babyduncan

A photo posted by SnapChat👉🏽 ChontelDuncan (@chontelduncan) on

In the photo below Chontell Duncan and her dear friend Nat pose for the camera, but at first glance, only Nat is obviously pregnant.

However, the two women are not only expecting little ones together — they’re due about 4-5 weeks apart from each other!

Needless to say, the internet had a field day tearing apart the photo of the moms-to-be. While some claim the 6’1 model, who has been extremely active throughout her pregnancy, is too thin to carry a child, others bashed Nat’s gigantic baby bump…but that’s because they’ve missed the entire point of the photo.

Every woman carries differently and both of these pregnancies are completely healthy!

BUMP UPDATE 🍼 37 weeks…. Only 21 days to go 🙈 Well well Little D you have caused quiet a commotion, you are most certainly making your entrance into this world noticeable. But seriously "what a week" 😳 did not expect that, can not believe how many people are apparently doctors, how easily people can slam a pregnant women, but more importantly how INCREDIBLE absolute strangers are. I don't think there are any words that could describe just how humbled I am to see absolute strangers support my lifestyle, pregnancy, my unborn child & give me the respect I think I deserve for putting in the effort to maintain my habits whilst pregnant. For a women to consider falling pregnant is a HUGE decision it's a permanent decision, not just the physical demands, the risk, but you're preparing to sacrifice your very being to be this little persons everything for as long as you live. Then there's conceiving, you couldn't feel more pressure if you tried, it's extremely difficult for so many women, I am extremely grateful I fell first go, but I am close to so many whom have struggled greatly. Now you're pregnant the physical changes, the tests & the realisation that it's happening is prominent. What if you're told at 12 weeks your child is at great risk or what if you miscarry 😕 it's emotionally hectic!!!! You get through all that & you know that from here on out what you feel emotionally the baby will feel, you know what you eat the baby will eat & you know that your physical health will impact the babies as he/she develops within. You make everyday the best so at the end of the journey you can hold your head high I know that you brought this little person up the best possible way you could… You realise that school did NOT set you up to understand child birth or how to prepare for a child, so you walk into this overwhelming world of preparing for parenthood. So much to learn… 😩 BUT wait then there's critics, well in my case a lot of them. They pick and pull you apart, I had ppl at the beginning excited to see me blow out, see me quit at my career because apparently it's not possible to do both… TO CONTINUE READING HIT THE LINK 📲 IN MY BIO (Wearing @aimn.oceania)

Chontell, who is expecting a baby boy with husband Sam at the end of March, is certainly not the first fitness model to come under fire for her slim baby bump recently.

This 30-year-old model made headlines with her slim pregnant physique in 2015, and celebrities are often criticized for their post-baby bodies…no matter how long it takes them to slim down!

The important thing to realize is that every woman’s body – and baby – has different needs. There is no perfect pregnant belly, the only thing that matters is that mom is staying healthy, so baby gets everything they need!

It’s hard to stomach that there are people out there who would want to end the life of a healthy, loving dog, just because he looks a little different than the rest…

However, the following heartwarming story of a peculiar pooch proves that there is a perfect human match out there for every dog in need of a forever home.

You may not notice it at first glance, but Toby the Australian Shepherd‘s keen canine sense of smell is likely twice as strong as other dogs. That’s because the 2-year-old dog who was abandoned by his previous owners in Fresno, California, was born with two noses.

No one seemed to want the unique-looking dog, except for Todd Ray, who knew he had to adopt the dog he learned would soon be put to sleep if an owner wasn’t found.

[BBC Caters News]
[BBC/Caters News]
The former music producer turned modern day P.T. Barnum knew “Toby Two-Nose” would fit in perfect at his Venice Beach Freakshow in Los Angeles, where Ray holds the Guinness World Record for the largest collection of two-headed animals among other oddities!

Ray, who also is proud papa to a 2-legged Chihuahua and a 5-legged miniature doberman pinscher, told Daily Mail “I’m fascinated by weird animals’ beautiful differences and by the magical lessons that they teach us.”

[BBC Caters News]
In the video below, posted to YouTube, Ray says Toby is the sweetest dog who loves everybody.

“He was born with two noses and it doesn’t bother him at all. As a matter of fact, it appears to come in handy when he is searching for his old chewed up ball!”

An 11-year-old girl recently donated her allowance money to help get bulletproof vests for the dogs of Canton Police Department’s K9 Unit in Ohio.

The donation is in response to the terrible news of beloved K9 Jethro passing away this January.

Jethro died after suffering multiple gunshot wounds while responding to a burglary at a grocery store.

“Officer Davis has received 2,000 letters since Jethro’s death, and he was catching up with them over the weekend,” Stanbro said. “He came across this girl’s letter and donation, and it really touched him.”

In the letter, 11-year-old Allison says, “I sorry about Jethro. So here is my allowance for the bullet proof vests. God bless you and the dogs.”

We’re big fans of amazing animal rescues here at LifeDaily and we know well that no two go exactly the same way.

Whether our heroes are rushing to save a group of puppies like in this touching story or a gigantic elephant who is on the brink of drowning, every animal rescue has one thing in common – the animal needs to somehow go against their natural instincts and trust the humans who’ve come to help them.

As you can see in this incredible rescue of a deer trapped on an icy lake, anyone can call animal control for a lost baby in their backyard, but it takes a very brave person to help certain kinds of animal.

That’s why it comes as no surprise that the following heart-pounding video from MrCordoniz has started to go viral. In the shocking clip, we see professional animal rescuers from the Division of Wildlife Resources in Utah work hard to free an angry, ferocious mountain lion from a bobcat trap.

DWR conservation officer Mark Ekins told KSL.com that it’s illegal to intentionally trap a cougar in his state and although sometimes they get caught in traps, the animals can usually escape on their own.

However, sometimes they need to step in like Ekins does in the video below. “If I wasn’t nervous or started to lack respect for the power of that animal, it could potentially be very dangerous,” Ekins said of the video he recorded.

“I’m nervous and I’m extremely careful when doing it. … I’ve probably only done three in my career that were as big as the one you saw. That was a really big one.”

A Blind Therapy Dog Named Smiley Lives Up To His Name By Helping People In Need

They say love is blind… and nobody knows this truth better than Smiley!

A 12-year-old golden retriever earned the name Smiley because his missing eyes make him look like he’s always smiling.

This is due to a condition he was born with that is linked to dwarfism. In addition to being born without eyes, Smiley has a few physical disproportions. He has oversized teeth and his eye sockets are sewn shut to prevent infection. Combine these two traits and you end up with a dog who looks like he’s always grinning.

The sweet golden retriever’s owner, a trainer named Joanne George, rescued Smiley from a puppy mill and a death sentence at the age of two. Now, the dog helps others in need.

“People were so drawn to him, so inspired by him.” George told CBS News. “I realized this dog has to be a therapy dog — I have to share him.”

For the past eight years, Smiley has been teaching people not to dwell on their disability, where they came from or what happened to them as a child. Instead, he teaches them that smiles are contagious and sometimes hope is all you need.

Currently, the senior dog works at Canadian first aid training organization St. John’s Ambulance in the York Region of Ontario. George trained Smiley to become an adaptive and versatile therapy dog who’s always spreading smiles.

“These kids who were born with different disabilities are able to see that dogs, too, are born with the same disabilities,” George told Huffington Post. “It’s important for them to see that Smiley has overcome, and that he’s happy.”

When the Baltimore County Fire Department responded to a fire last week in Markville, Maryland, they were not expecting to encounter such a grateful puppy.

When they arrived at the scene, firefighters were able to contain the flames in the second-floor apartment, and rescue the family puppy, bringing him to safety.

While it’s certainly likely the family dog is normally this happy, or appears to be, there’s no doubt he was happy to be rescued.

No matter how many times you hear about “sticks and stones breaking your bones” the truth is that words can really hurt people.

This can be especially true when you’re young and struggling with self-confidence like we saw in this recent story about a brave girl who was teased for her looks by bullies after a horrific accident.

While most kids and teens can’t help but take it personally when their peers say and do cruel things, one student at Lampasas High School in Texas decided to fight back against her bullies in such an inspiring, courageous, and undeniable hilarious way.

When Dannie McMillan found out a classmate made a Twitter account mocking her as “fatwhaledee” with an image of a whale superimposed over her face the 16-year-old junior was devastated.

“I just started crying,” she told local station KCEN. “I was just really upset. I think I got angry after a little bit. But, at first I was just so embarrassed.”

[KCEN-TV]

Then she started talking to plus-size model Laura Lee (pictured below) on Facebook. “I jokingly told her: part of me wants to cry all day. And, the other part of me wants to get a t-shirt with a whale on it and wear it to school to show that they can’t get to me.”

Dannie thought Laura would find it funny, but she thought it was a great idea and together they used Booster.com to create tee shirts that read “Dee the Fat Whale Saves the Whales” that are being sold to support the Save the Whales organization.

Between t-shirt sales and donations, Dannie has exceeded her goal of $3,000 in just 18 days.

“This project means so much to me because while I can help make a difference in the oceans I can also set an example for other victims of bullying.” she wrote on her GoFundMe fundraising page. “I can take someone’s hate and use it to spread love.”

Quit monkeying around? Not if the results are this hysterical!

Humans might be the most intelligent living being on the planet, but there is no denying that animals are usually the funniest. As you can see in this video of a sea lion getting cheeky with his caretaker at feeding time, zoo animals are especially fond of having some fun with their human friends.

A few months back we shared this hilarious video of an orangutan literally rolling on the floor laughing after a man showed him a pretty basic magic trick. Now we’ve found another epic monkey magic moment that might just give him a run for his money!

In the following video, posted to YouTube by America’s Funniest Home Videos, we see a man at the zoo do a slight of hand magic trick for a seemingly uninterested baboon behind the glass.
