This baby just discovered the art of war and we’ve never seen anything quite so precious.
The adorable teetering tot was running around the house looking for a fun activity when she spotted it: a wayward sock. Now, most children would pass the sock right on by and keep running, but not this bright child.
This one had experience under her belt. She had spent the past few years learning from the master. The family dog whom she had grown up with had long ago taught her the necessities of dealing with a lost sock.
So she obviously did what she had been trained to do and challenged him to a battle of the ages.

If you’re a butt-kicking cop with a serious amount of mustache, then you need a sidekick with a stellar stache too.
Insert 28-year-old Cody Garret, an officer from South Carolina. He is not joking around about his mustache. The officer also has a killer sidekick whom he rescued not too long ago.
[Donut Operator]One Saturday evening, Garret was working late shift when he got a call from a fellow officer. The officer said he had heard crying coming from underneath a nearby dumpster. The crying belonged to this guy.
Nobody at the station really knew what to do with the little squirt. They discussed bringing her to a shelter before Garret said he’s take her home.
His cat, Toothless, was at home nursing four kittens and Garrett thought she might take in the abandoned kitten.
He scooped up the little stray and put her in a box for the ride home.
[Donut Operator]When they got home, Garret put the little kitten next to the nursing cat. According to Buzzfeed News, it was at this point that the animal earned her name.
As he placed her something umm…less than savory popped from her back end and thus she was called ‘Squirt.’
[Donut Operator]However, Toothless took to the kitten, as did the others and thus a friendship was born. Since this heroic day, Officer Garret looks after all these snuggle-bunches and occasionally takes Squirt on rounds.

This Siberian Husky is not having it when this adorable baby wants to play.
Just look at his face. This is not the face of somebody who is up for a round of peekaboo. Meanwhile, the little tyke is more than eager to play all kinds of games.

We’re not sure about what exactly flips the switch, but in no time at all the husky is rolling around on the floor with the baby looking for snuggles just as much as the rest of us.
Sometimes, we’re on edge because of things going on in life and we don’t have the time to give attention to the things that really matter, and sometimes we have a change of heart and suddenly keep in mind the important things (like frolicking on the floor with a friend).

Meet siblings Billy and Emily, who appeared on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ back in 2015. Before you watch the video, I feel obliged to let you know these two are wheelie good.

Do you ever have one of those mornings when sleep feels like an old friend and everything outside your bed makes you cringe?

The child could not fly without an elaborate life-support system, which includes a portable oxygen tank, a suction machine, a breathing bag and an adrenaline syringe. These necessities could not be brought on the commercial airliner, so his 29-year-old father Harold Ten reached out to Donald Trump seeking use of his private 727.

Any bride knows how difficult and exhausting it is to plan the wedding of your dreams, and after months spent fine-tuning the guest list, going to dress fittings, and going to cake tastings, one Canadian bride was glad to have that all behind her with her wedding just days away.
However, Elise Boissonneault and nearly 100,000 other people had to evacuate their homes in For McMurray, Alberta when devastating wildfires tore through the province. Boissonneault was lucky to get out with her life but during the evacuation, she was forced to leave behind almost all of her belongings, which included the wedding dress she planned to wear in just a few days.
Her wedding photographer, Alex Neary, knew how devastated Boissonneault was and decided to post a picture of the bride in her original dress to see if anyone had a similar dress that they’d be willing to lend.
“I posted on Facebook and within an hour hundreds upon hundreds of strangers had reached out, offering to give her their dress to wear. Designers, bridal stores and fellow photographers all did what they could to help her find a new gown.”

“Elise arrived in Toronto at 3pm, I picked her up at 5:30pm and we went to Leaann Belter Bridal where the ever so generous and gracious, Ginny, lent Elise not one but two dresses. One for the ceremony and one to change into for the reception,” Neary wrote. “Elise was so overcome with emotions by everything that has happened and I can safely say that the kindness shown by strangers has touched her more than you will ever know.”
While Boissonneault was ready to go to her wedding in jeans and a t-shirt, she was so grateful that a stranger showed her so much kindness. “I didn’t think there was that kind of kindness in the world,” she said. “It’s just awesome.”

There are certain moments in a person’s life that they’ll never forget, and for this expecting couple, finding out the gender of their baby is definitely one of those moments.
Rather than just have their doctor tell them the exciting news, Sergeant First Class Keith Batchelder and his fiancee Jamie Indiveri decided on a more unconventional option, which was inspired by Keith’s career as a Green Beret with the U.S. Army Special Forces.
The couple found a safe and secluded spot in the woods to place a small box, which held a colored chalk explosive, and when hit, an explosion would be triggered that would produce either pink or blue dust to represent a girl or a boy.

Keith easily hit the mark on his first try and caused an explosion of blue chalk clouds. “His friends and teammates in Special Forces, who are all highly trained in advanced marksmanship, would never had let him live it down if he missed!” Jamie said.

Yet, when the couple posted their exciting news online, people couldn’t believe the way they chose to announce such special news. “Gee. I think I’ll aim a rifle at the representation of my child-to-be and pull the trigger. Sounds like a fantastic idea, honey,” One commenter wrote.

While the work day is only eight hours long, that can feel like an eternity for little kids to go without seeing their parents, which is why this little boy couldn’t wait to say hi to his mom as she finally got home from work.
Once this loving son got sight of his mom’s car pulling into their family home’s driveway in Bahia, Brazil, he couldn’t bear to wait for her to walk through the front door. Instead, he ran out to greet her and give her a big hug once she parked the car and got out.
Yet, mom never saw her son run out of the house, and dart in front of her moving car. Since he was too short for her to see from the steering wheel, she kept driving into her spot and unknowingly mowed her son over.

Puppies love exploring the unknown and are fearless when it comes to trying new things because they know they have their mom or dad to protect them and get them out of whatever trouble they land in.
However, when a puppy got its head stuck in a rusty old pipe, there was nothing mom could do to get him out. When none of her attempts to free him worked, she had no choice but to leave him behind. Despite being abandoned, this tiny pup continued to call out for help.
Finally, someone heard the meek, desperate cries coming from a broken, rusty pipe laying on the ground, and when they looked over they spotted the puppy’s messy white face and floppy ears peeking out the end of the pipe.

The rescuers started lathering the pup’s neck with soap and water in hopes that he would slip right out. After 40 minutes of massaging with lots of soap, they managed to push his head back through the pipe as gently as possible until he was free again.

When caught wearing “nail varnish” and eyeshadow, mom asks, “What have you got on your eyes?” And the little girl responds, “The things that you usually put on. What’s wrong with everything that I’ve got on?”
She adorably sighs, crosses her arms, and stomps her feet.
A confused mom then says, “You’ve got lipstick on, you’ve got nail varnish on, you’ve got eyeshadow on!”
The girl pauses, and then corrects her in the most hysterical way. She says, “It isn’t lipstick…. Lipgloss.”

Former playboy model and ex-girlfriend of Hugh Hefner, Kendra Wilkinson, took to Instagram to post a personal photo of herself on Mother’s Day!
The mom of two who once posed in many photo shoots wearing skimpy bikinis, is learning that motherhood can really take a toll on your body.

The great news is, she’s totally embracing it. In honor of Mother’s Day, Kendra posted a photo to her Instagram showing exactly what having kids has done to her stomach.
Stretch marks and all, Kendra captioned the photo: “Look what my 2 babies did… They made me happy. #happymothersday.”
And before that photo, Kendra uploaded this throwback of her daughter Alijah, the first week she was born. She captioned it photo: ““Happy mastitis day. Ooops I meant Mother’s Day!! Flashback to the first week with Alijah.”
Charla Nash underwent a face transplant five years ago after being attacked by a chimpanzee.
In 2009, Nash lost her nose, lips, eyelids and hands when she was mauled by her employer’s 200-lb chimpanzee in Stamford, Connecticut. Doctors also had to remove Nash’s eyes because of a disease transmitted by the chimp.
But following the transplant, Nash discovered unusual patches on her face, and after a biopsy, doctors determined Nash’s body was rejecting the transplant. According to NBC News, Nash’s publicist, Shelly Sindland said that doctors now hope to reverse the rejection by ending the experiment.
Since 2011, Nash has been taking part in an experiment in which doctors at Boston’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital have tried to wean her off the anti-rejection drugs she has been taking since her operation. The military funded Nash’s experiment in hopes that the alternative treatment could help those needing transplants after the war.
“I gave it my all and know my participation in the study will still be beneficial,” Nash told The Associated Press. “I’d do it all over again, if I could. The men and women serving our country are the true heroes.”

Sindland said that doctors plan to put Nash back on her original medication, but if that doesn’t work, it isn’t immediately clear what the next step will be.
Transplant patients are usually required to be on immunosuppression drugs for the rest of their lives, and these drugs carry risks like cancer, viral infections, and kidney damage. Because of these risks, transplants of non-vital body parts, such as thumbs, are not considered worth doing. But, doctors say that could change if the drugs don’t have to be a lifelong commitment.
“I’m just happy I had the chance to help. I wish I could have done more. I believe in the power of prayer and appreciate everyone who is praying for me,” Nash said.

For many mom’s, the best part of raising kids is getting to watch them grow up into the people they raised them to be, and while this mom never left her children, a tragic disorder took away her ability to watch them get older.
46 years ago, Sydney-based grandmother Fran Laver contracted Stevens-Johnson syndrome, an immune hypersensitivity disorder, in her 20’s as an early mother and left her totally blind within two years. “The worst thing about having limited sight is the isolation. You tend to not socialize as much,” Fran said.
Not only did she miss out on aspects of her children’s childhoods because of the disorder, but in the past few years, Fran has become a grandmother and she couldn’t stand the idea of missing their lives as well. After contacting doctors, they agreed she might be a good candidate for a rare and expensive procedure, the Boston Kerato Prosthesis operation.

Doctors replaced Fran’s corneas and after the surgery, she was able to see for the first time in nearly five decades and got to see what her daughters looked like and finally is able to read to her grandkids like she always dreamed of.

Soldiers dedicate and risk their lives to stand up for our rights and beliefs, which is why these active military moms came together to stand up for their own rights as mothers, and mothers everywhere.
Unfortunately, mothers across the country face harsh judgment and prejudice for trying to breastfeed their children in public, and these soldier moms are no different. To help normalize breastfeeding in public, these active duty military moms decided to come together in uniform and breastfeed their children at the Jefferson Memorial in Washington D.C..
The moms came out wearing their full military uniforms and later changed into civilian clothes to show that they are active soldiers yet still mothers to young children, and often have no choice but to breastfeed in public or pump milk during breaks in spite of the criticism and backlash .

It’s a parent’s job to guide and keep their children safe until they can look after themselves, which is why one mother felt like a failure after her first son tragically drowned at just 2 years old.
In order to protect her second child from drowning, Keri Morrison enrolled her then 6-month-old daughter Josie in Infant Swimming Resource lessons that teach babies and children to hold their breath, float, and roll over without sinking. The lessons lasted four weeks, and each lesson lasts only 10 minutes
However, Morrison faced backlash from strangers online when she posted a video of her now 13-month-old falling into the pool face first and does nothing for nearly two minutes as she flips herself over and floats on her back.

While Josie was able to stay afloat, she was clearly struggling and exhausting herself to keep her head above the water, and was visibly upset after she let out a few whimpers.
Despite the backlash, Morrison insists she’s protecting her daughter. “My son is no longer here because he didn’t have these skills,” Morrison said. “To me, I’m protecting her, and that’s what a parent is supposed to do— to protect her child— and I feel like I failed my son, and I’m not going to fail my daughter.”

While most farmers try to think of their farm animals as assets rather than pets, one farmer couldn’t help but grow attached to his horses, who he had been raising for 13 years. And when his beloved horse, Freedom, fell into a pit, he did everything to save her.
Farmer Marek słodkowski looked for Freedom in her pastures, but couldn’t find her anywhere. Eventually, he wandered into his farm’s garage where he finally found her trapped in a maintenance pit that had been covered up with planks of old wood that must have given out under her weight.
Marek could tell Freedom was distressed and giving up hope, and desperately called the fire department to help find a way to free her after his own attempts failed.

The firemen tried lifting her out of the pit using their water hoses, but they weren’t strong enough. While they tried to brainstorm, Marek started to fear this was the end for Freedom. “This is it, she’s going to die,” Marek said in defeat.
For hours, Freedom had been too weak and injured to even stand on her own, but suddenly, she lifted her front legs out of the pit. The firemen quickly readjusted their hoses, and were able to give her the push she needed to get out.

7-year-old Vinny Desautels is a little boy who selflessly grew out his hair for 2 years so he could donate it to cancer patients.
“I want to help people so they don’t have to go to the doctors to fight cancer,” he said.
Despite being teased by his peers at school for his hair growth, Vinny managed to grow it to 13 inches, and lovingly donated it to Wigs for Kids With Cancer.

“During that time he was mistaken for a girl many times, but Vinny took it like a champ and was like, ‘Nah, I’m a boy,” Vinny’s dad, Jason Desautels, told Fox 40. After finally cutting off his hair, after he let it grow for so long, the cruelest twist of fate happened and Vinny learned he had stage four cancer.
“My eye was getting heavy,” Vinny said.

Vinny’s dad explains, Basically, what they found is that he has a significant growth on his hip and in the bone around the eye and behind the nose and on the cheek on the right side.” Now, 7-year-old Vinny is trying to make sense of his diagnosis.
“Well, the veins from my hip are traveling to another place right behind my eye and it’s making it squinty,” Vinny said.
Although it is difficult for Vinny to see, he has the support of his family and friends and also an entire community who praises him for being so selfless.
