For many couples, starting a family and having a baby is simple and happens the minute they start trying, and for some, it even happens when they don’t mean for it to. But for about 12 percent of women in the United States, getting pregnant and carrying a baby to full term is nearly impossible.

For three years, Cincinnati couple Dan Majesky,37, and wife Leah,36, have been trying to have a baby, and over those three years, they have tried everything from hormone treatments, sperm collections, and intra-uterine insemination.

After three long years of heartbreak and tears, the couple is finally expecting a baby girl this November, but when Majesky decided to announce the news, he couldn’t just ignore the struggle they’ve gone through and didn’t want to pretend like the baby they lost never existed.

“I wanted to write a little more about what we had been through on the way to that announcement,” Majesky said. “Especially regarding the miscarriage, because neither of us wanted that to go unremarked upon. That was a hard time for us — a lonely time — but that baby left a permanent mark on us, and it didn’t seem fair that it would get hidden away.”

“And you get pregnant,” Majesky wrote in the post to Facebook. “Everything looked great and we were on track, so when we went in for one final scan before being released to our obstetrician a couple weeks later, we were all smiles and jokes. ‘I’m so sorry. I can’t find the heartbeat.’ And then you’re not pregnant.”

After all the grief, pain, and exhaustion, the couple finally got pregnant. “We’re very excited, but I’ll be holding my breath for 26ish weeks. And it’s a girl. Not that gender matters! But we’re going to have a little girl! And I am stoked. We are stoked. We are pregnant,” the excited dad-to-be wrote.

Husband Pens Emotional Letter About Fertility Struggles is an article from: LifeDaily

New or expecting mothers can sometimes seem paranoid about their baby’s health, but one mother had to learn the hard way to never ignore her maternal instinct even when doctors tried to persuade her that everything was ‘fine’.

Ayesha Newell and husband Martin gave birth to their first daughter Lulu at the world’s most expensive private hospital in the world, the Matilda International Hospital in Hong Kong, but the Australian couple first noticed an infection around the stump of their daughter’s umbilical cord just days after being born on May 7.

Doctors told the new parents that their daughter was perfectly healthy, and discharged them from the hospital. “We took her for a routine follow-up and a paediatrician said the case was quite serious, but only prescribed antibiotics and ointments and told us to wait another 48 hours,” Martin said.

Ayesha was convinced it was more serious, and contacted a family friend and pediatrician back in Australia who told her to get straight to the hospital as she had been infected with golden staph.

“By the next morning we had found out it was septicemia and they then said she needed a lumbar puncture,” Martin said. “This was only a week after she was born, but a couple of days before we’d taken her to the pediatrician who’d basically sent Lulu home to die over the weekend.”

Thankfully, the treatment was successful, and Lulu is finally healthy again at three weeks old.

Doctors Ignore Parents’ Concerns And Send Newborn Baby Home With Deadly Infection is an article from: LifeDaily

Graduation day can often spur a wide range of emotions for graduates. After often spending many long months and years working hard to get a diploma in their chosen fields, it’s not uncommon to see many graduates jumping for joy when they finally hear their name called on stage.

That’s exactly why a poignant photo of a West Point cadet on his graduation day has gone completely viral online after being posted by the Instagram account of the esteemed New York military academy, WestPoint_USMA.

The photo features newly commissioned 2nd Lt. Alix Schoelcher Idrache who became the Maryland Army National Guard’s first United States Military Academy graduate on May 21, 2016, according to the Baltimore Sun. Tears run down Idrache’s face, in a touching moment that many are calling the epitome of the “American Dream”.

Idrache, who was born in Haiti, could barely speak English when he came from his native country back in 2009. “I am from Haiti and never did I imagine that such honor would be one day bestowed on me,” Idrache wrote on Instagram. “I could not help but be flooded with emotions knowing that I will be leading these men and women who are willing to give their all to preserve what we value as the American way of life.”

“To me, that is the greatest honor,” the 2nd Lt. continued, explaining to photographer Staff Sgt. Vito T. Bryant, who had originally been taking a wide-angle photo when he noticed Idrache’s tears, that his past present and future ran through his mind on the graduation field.

Most little boys dream of becoming soldiers, cops, or firemen when they grow up because they want a chance to be a real-life superhero, but one fearless 7-year-old decided he wasn’t going to wait until he was a grown up to become a hero.

The brave 7-year-old was with his mom at a local GameStop in Silver Spring, Maryland at around 9pm last Friday night when two armed robbers wearing masks and dark hoodies came into the store and started demanding money from the cashier.

Before they made their way to the register, one of the robbers tried to grab the boy, but before he could, he punched him twice in the stomach.

Unfortunately, his brave efforts were not enough, and the masked men ended up stealing the cash from the register, as well as their belongings.

“Well, he’s tough,” the boy’s mother, who chose not to identify herself or her son, said. “He’s tough and, you know, I think instincts come out in situations like that.”

“It was scary. You’re never prepared for something like that. You’re not. So, you don’t wish it on your worst enemy,” the boy’s father said of the traumatizing experience.

As adults, siblings are not only your family, but your closest friends who you can count on for anything, but as kids, many can’t stand each other, and some even wish their siblings were never born.

Doctors originally told mom and dad that they were expecting their third baby boy, and their young sons were thrilled that they’d soon have another little guy to get into trouble with. However, when mom and dad went back to the doctor for a checkup, the doctor realized he had made a mistake. Instead of having another boy, the expecting parents found out they’d be having their first baby girl.

After celebrating the news, mom decided to sit her kids down at dinner and share the exciting news with her boys, who she assumed wouldn’t even care much.

However, as soon as they told them they’d be getting a new baby sister rather than a brother, her two boys had completely different reactions. Her older son was actually excited at the news, but her youngest son in red burst out in tears crying ‘I don’t like baby sisters!’

Brothers Are Shocked When Mom Tells Them They’re Going To Have A Baby Sister is an article from: LifeDaily

Baby Zyla may not be able to walk yet, but at just 6-months-old, she is able to do one thing that most adults can’t.

On Saturday, Zyla took to the water on Lake Silver in Winter Haven, Florida, and broke a record as the youngest known water skier!

She skied 686.4ft according to ESPN, and held onto a rail for support. The tiny baby’s family and friends were in the water with her, and cheered her on the entire time.

Baby Zyla narrowly beat the water skiing record held by Parks Bonifay, who water skied at the young age of six months, 29 days. Zyla was six months and 27 days old when she skied on Saturday.

Saturday, May 28th, 2016, was set to be one of the greatest days in 18-year-old Myneisha Johnson’s life so far.

After an uphill battle juggling family issues, schoolwork, and a young baby, the high school senior was set to receive her much-deserved diploma on her graduation day from Booker T. Washington High School in Memphis, TN. But the young mom’s life was tragically cut short in a devastating way just one week before her big accomplishment when she was mercilessly and randomly gunned down by a troubled teen in a drive-by shooting while walking with two friends in Downtown Memphis.

“Thank you so much for your unsolicited ‘food’ for thought. After regurgitating the washback you just emailed (as it was definitely not ‘food’), I offer the following appetizer, entrée, and dessert for you to consider,” she wrote on Facebook, continuing to make seven awesome points to the woman who judged her decision to give Kylan Johnson his mother’s diploma.

Bravo, Principal Coleman-Kiner, your students – and Kylan – are so lucky to have you on their side!

Only in Iceland can you address a letter with nothing more than a map, and still manage to have it delivered!

A few farmers at Hólar in Hvammsveit, West Iceland, received a strange letter at the end of March. While they likely knew exactly who it was from, the postal service did not.

The postal service also didn’t know where the letter was going or even WHO it was going to, but that didn’t stop them delivering.

When the sender didn’t know the name or address of his recipients, he simply drew a map. It showed the rough location of the unnamed farm, along with a brief description of the family living there.

This is all the information the mailman had to go by:

The letter was mailed in Reykjavík by a foreign tourist who had visited the farm earlier. They weren’t sure the letter would be delivered but stated that if it did, that would prove that in Iceland, anything is possible.

And it appears to have worked out perfectly. Way to go Iceland!

Fluffy Rabbit Receives Adorable Haircut That Transforms Him Into A Doll is an article from: LifeDaily

As a dog owner, you always worry about cars and your over-zealous pooch thinking he can catch them, but have you ever heard a concern like this one?

A Massachusetts man had to run down a coyote to help save his family’s dog from a potentially deadly attack last week.

Early Saturday morning, Cally, a small dog who has been a member of the family for years, was outside in her backyard when a coyote jumped out and grabbed her. It wrapped its teeth around her neck and left open wounds along her skin.

The coyote then ran away with Cally STILL IN ITS MOUTH.

Ryan Labbe says his father then chased down the coyote and saved his pet’s life.

“It attacked her first in the abdomen,” Ryan said. “But she managed to get away somehow. Then it attacked her again and went right for her neck, picked her up and ran down the street with her. My dad chased it down.”

The coyote was tackled and dropped the wounded dog, which then ran home. Experts say coyotes raising young can be even more dangerous because they are protective, and looking for more food.

A Wales court heard a devastating trial this week that will send a shudder through the shoulders of all parents.

When toxicology reporters examined the body of 17-month-old Finley Thomas, they discovered something shocking. Cocaine and cannabis were both present in his body at the time of his death, a death that occurred from a ‘fall down the stairs,’ according to Mom Chloe Thomas, 25, and her boyfriend Sean Buckley, 28.

However, the court wasn’t buying it and neither are we.

Buckley is accused of murdering the child and both he and the mother are accused of physically abusing Finley during his short little life.

Neighbors and friends described the mother as appearing ‘spaced out’ in the weeks leading up to her son’s death. Occasionally she struggled to even speak.

The court heard that Thomas had become so infatuated with Buckley, she allowed their relationship to take priority to the responsibilities of raising her child.

Thomas had become hooked on illegal drugs and diazepam during the time that led up to Finley’s eventual death.

A post mortem examination on Finley’s body showed he was contaminated with the same drugs.

On the day of Finley’s death, text messages between Thomas and Buckley even showed exchanged messages to ‘get their story straight’ about how Finley ‘fell down the stairs’, as well as how he had got several other earlier injuries which were found on examination.

The court was also shown a collapsible chair found in the couple’s garden, which was said to have been used to kill the infant.

Prosecutor Roger Thomas played a DVD to the court showing how meshing on the chair matched up with marks found on the baby’s scalp.

Buckley denies murder, and both deny endangering the welfare of a person under 16.

17-Month-Old Was Allegedly Beaten By Mom’s Boyfriend And Found ‘On Drugs’ is an article from: LifeDaily

If you’ve ever grown up with an older brother, surely you can relate to the video you’re about to see.

Two cats were caught on a candid camera horsing around in the backyard. The owners of a rather lavish house set up security cams to keep out ‘those pesky kids.’

However, upon examing the footage at a later date, they found a hilarious clip of one of their cats ‘pushing’ his brother into the pool…at least that’s what it looks like at first glance.

Upon slowing down the evidence, the jury can see that what ACTUALLY happened was a case of the scardey cat.

You see, the victim was merely drinking from the pool, attempting to quench his thirst after a long day of lounging and doing basically nothing. After all, it’s hard work being a house cat.

That’s when the culprit came by to see what all the hullabaloo was about. At first glance, it looks like the latecomer pushed his brother into the pool. However, a slowed down version of the clip clearly shows that cat #2 simply touched the victim’s tail, causing our easily frightened friend to push himself into the pool.

But I bet that second cat purposely frightened him…
