As you can see in this story about a woman getting fired over a careless Facebook post, what we share on the internet never goes away, yet we like to have faith that most people won’t invade our privacy, even though we’ve made parts of our life public.

Twenty-five-year-old mother and blogger of personal site ShutUpMegBlog learned the hard way that even when you think you’re safe, the internet is a dark and scary place and many of its users are not much better.

Back in 2014, Meg Ireland shared private photos of her massive baby bump in a private Facebook group for mothers. Sadly, about 16 of Ireland’s personal photos were taken from the page and posted on a “preggophilia” porn pregnancy fetish website, where she was horrified by the awful things she found searching for the thread.

In a post on her Facebook page, Ireland explained that although we shouldn’t have to worry about people stealing others photos, it happens all the time.

“People who were uploading pictures of their wife to other users, brother in laws uploading pictures of their sister in laws and women uploading pictures of their work colleagues!!!” she wrote on Facebook. “I literally couldn’t believe what I was seeing.”

Hearing about her invasion of privacy made the young mom sick to her stomach, but she decided to share her photo one last time, in hopes of warning other pregnant women to be more careful of what they post online.

“I see so many people upload their bump pics and now I just gasp and hope to god they don’t get into the hands of someone they shouldn’t,” she wrote.

Parents should be careful about who they allow to view photos of their children as well, as many have had to learn the hard way that there are creeps who steal kids’ photos for pornographic use or to even pretend they are their own children.

Please SHARE this mom’s horrific story with your loved ones on Facebook today. You never know who you might just be able to help!

It’s not surprising that so many people are nostalgic for decades past when it comes to today’s music.

They say what goes around comes back around over and over again, and that’s always true in the entertainment industry. However, when you turn on the radio these days, it’s not uncommon to wish that music had a little more class, from the lyrics to the questionable talent of some performers.

Simon Cowell and the rest of the judges on America’s Got Talent definitely know what to look out for when it comes to true talent, but they were a little skeptical of charismatic crooner Sal Valentinetti on a recent episode of the reality competition show.

By day, the 20-year-old Long Island, NY native works as a pizza delivery guy, but once he hits the stage, he turns into a true entertainer right out of the Rat Pack era.

[America's Got Talent]
[America’s Got Talent]
“I’m gonna entertain yous like you’ve never been entertained before,” Sal says in the following clip, showing off his accent. “As a matter fact, I didn’t come here to try out. I came here to win.”

No one can ever replace “Frankie Blue Eyes”, but Valentinetti came eerily close and completely knocked his version of the Frank Sinatra classic “My Way” out of the park, receiving the coveted “Golden Buzzer” from Heidi Klum.

“When you want to sing this kind of music, you can’t fake,” notoriously tough judge Cowell told the performer. “It’s either in you or it’s not. And you’re an old soul.”

Most of you probably know of Jane Goodall, the British primatologist, ethologist, anthropologist, and UN Messenger of Peace.

Goodall has spent her life learning about and caring for chimpanzees, and she does so at her organization, The Jane Goodall Institute.

In the unbelievable video below, Goodall lovingly tickles a playful baby chimp. She gently touches its nose, and in return, the chimpanzee smiles and you can even hear a giggle.

It’s beautiful to watch a video like this, especially with all the media regarding chimpanzees in the news lately. Goodall definitely knows what she’s doing when it comes to these human-like animals, and we can’t stop watching.

A dad has posted a viral warning about the importance of washing your hands after his daughter contracted RSV.

The dad, whose name is unknown, goes by andnowforsomethingcompletelydifferent on Imgur, and he posted a photo of his “little fighter,” whose been in the hospital for over three weeks due to a serious respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).

While originally, his baby was admitted to the hospital with viral meningitis, she recovered quickly since it was a light case. Yet, she now remains hospitalized as she battles RSV.

“We almost lost her last Monday,” the emotional dad writes.

“Our local hospital told us if she got any worse there was nothing more they could do for her. We had to move her to a better facility… As soon as the pediatric team arrived at the hospital to pick her up, she flatlined. They revived her and put her on a ventilator immediately. Since then, she has been diagnosed with of course RSV, a severe case of pneumonia, type h flu, bronchialitis, and a partially collapsed right lung,” dad continues.

He reports that the baby is doing much better but she still requires oxygen for comfort.

“RSV is no joke. I didn’t know much about it until a week ago when it almost took my daughter from me. Please make sure to wash your hands before handling little ones. And make sure to wrap them up when heading outside into the cold,” dad wrote.

Dr. Ari Brown, author of Baby 411, calls RSV “a really rough virus, like the worst cold you’ve ever had,” and said it’s very easy to contract when proper precautions aren’t taken. Brown told Cosmopolitan: “RSV is not only spread through droplets, but through contact on surfaces like the grocery cart that your baby touches that another ill child was coughing on an hour earlier. So we definitely encourage really good hygiene, especially this time of year. Could somebody die if you don’t wash hands? Technically, yes.”

Have you ever heard of RSV before?

When a nasty storm arrives, most people have the luxury of taking shelter indoors to wait it out, but most animals have to quickly try and find a temporary shelter.

In an attempt to stay dry from the torrential rain during a bad storm in Dublin, Ohio, one raccoon thought he had found the perfect spot to wait out the bad weather in the sewer, but quickly learned it was the worst place he could have chosen as the rain water came flooding in from the storm drains.

The terrified raccoon managed to climb up to the grate, but was too big to squeeze through, but had no choice but to hang there for potentially hours as he’d drown in the rapid waters rushing by beneath him.

Luckily, members of the Dublin Recreation Center heard the little raccoon’s terrified screams, and called the city to come and rescue him.

The city worker arrived minutes later, and made sure no cars would run over his tiny paws that were sticking through the grate before finally lifting the grate up and helping return him to his natural habitat.

Fishermen Rescue Drowning Dear 6 Miles Off Shore

Fishermen go out on the water hoping to find some animals swimming in the water, but when a group of fishermen spotted this animal swimming six miles off shore, they knew something wasn’t right.

Rob Kurdy was out on the boat with his friends on the Long Island Sound one afternoon when they spotted something bobbing in the water from a distance. As they got closer, however, they realized the animal wasn’t a fish or shark, but was actually a deer.

The deer was clearly struggling in the 58-degree water, and they knew there was no way the animal would make it back to shore, nevermind a few more minutes. “You could see it shivering. It’s barely staying afloat,” Kurdy said. “It’s kind of just going in circles.”

The group decided to forget about their fishing trip, and got to work saving the drowning animal. “He actually got a piece of rope and was able to stick the rope around the antlers real gently and corral the deer towards the boat,” Kurdy said. “We used one of the boat cleats to tie it to him and make sure he was comfortable and we weren’t pulling on him too hard.”

The group towed the animal as gently as possible to land, but the boat couldn’t get close enough to shore so Kurdy put a lifejacket on, jumped in the water, and swam the deer the rest of the way to shore.

“It’s a life, and I’m not going to let him drown,” Kurdy said. “He was out in the middle of nowhere shivering and freezing, so we all said we just can’t let it drown. It was just the right thing to do.”

They immediately wrapped the shivering deer in towels and blankets, and after a few hours, the animal warmed up enough and walked off on his own.

We’ve all been guilty of averting our gaze, crossing the street, or even distracting ourselves on the phone when walking by a homeless person, but one social experiment decided if that would still be true if that homeless person was an expecting mom.

As part of a social experiment, Youtuber RobbyTv asked his friend to put on a fake pregnancy suit and sit on the sidewalk of a busy city street with a sign to test and see if anyone would help the ‘expecting mom’ and if she would get more sympathy than homeless people normally do.

The young woman looked to be about 20 years old, and held up a sign that read: ‘Pregnant and homeless anything helps!’ yet not a single man or woman stopped to even give her some spare change while she sat on the concrete for over two hours.

The girl was about to give up on the project since no one even looked her in the eye the entire time she was on the ground, however, one woman finally stopped, knelt down, and offered money for food. The stranger explained that years ago, she had been in the exact same position and that she’d would get help for the soon-to-be mom.

Moments later, however, RobbyTv approached the two talking women and explained it was all a social experiment as he pointed to the camera, and thanked the woman for her good deed.

Father’s Day can be a tough time of year for anyone who has lost their Dad or simply doesn’t have a father figure in their life. For a child without any parents, however, the holiday can be even more difficult and heartbreaking.

Luckily, there is at least one little girl out there who won’t have to spend another Father’s Day wondering who or where her dad is. After being away from him for two years, Bryan Thouvenel’s daughter Harmony could only remember the sound of her dad playing guitar.

Besides that, the 5-year-old knew nothing about her Dad, who unbeknownst to Harmony and her mother, Thouvenel’s estranged ex-girlfriend, had been searching for them for years.

[News-Review]
[News-Review]
Thanks to a tip, Thouvenel was reunited with Harmony, who was found living at a homeless shelter in Spokane, Washington. Thouvenel and his ex-girlfriend were together for two years before she snatched Harmony away and headed to Washington.

“She’s not in the best of health in the world, you know, but she drove for 10 hours straight until we got up there to the courthouse,” Thouvenel told the News-Review of how he has since gained custody of his estranged daughter.

[News-Review]
[News-Review]
“I sat there and the next thing you know I’ve got my daughter coming out, walking by herself,” Thouvenel said. “She’s kind of looking around, and I said her name once. She kind of looked at me funny and I said ‘Harmony, it’s daddy.’ Her eyes just kind of lit up.”

[News-Review]
[News-Review]
Now Washington-based nonprofit Time to Put Kids First, is sending Thouvenel and Harmony to Kauai, Hawaii to make up for lost time and make memories under the sun.

“For two years she didn’t have any memories with me so they decided it would be a nice idea to send us over to Hawaii for a retreat,” Thouvenel said. “It would be this huge memory that she would actually remember. Regardless of whatever happens in the future, she will always have this one memory with dad.”

It’s only natural for every little girl to grow up dreaming about her wedding day, and for every father to watch his daughter grow into a woman, knowing one day he will get to walk her down the aisle.

For brides and their fathers, this very special tradition is often one of the most heartwarming and tear-inducing moments of a wedding day. However, while some women aren’t lucky enough to have their fathers able to walk them down the aisle and hand them over to their new husbands, others face a different kind of dilemma… one Todd Bachman handled in the sweetest way possible.

[Delia D. Blackburn]
[Delia D. Blackburn]
Moments before Bachman was prepared to give away his daughter, Brittany Peck, he warned the wedding photographer to be prepared for something very special during the ceremony. Since Brittany’s parents divorced when she was very young and her step-father, Todd Cendrosky, had been an equally important man in her life as biological dad Bachman since age 11, she was torn.

[Delia D. Blackburn]
[Delia D. Blackburn]
It was a difficult decision to leave Cendrosky sitting with other wedding guests, but Bachman surprised his daughter, their family, and friends, and most especially Brittany’s step-dad by grabbing him and pulling him in to walk their daughter down the aisle, together.

“Families are what we make them…make it about your kids and not your ego,” Photographer Delia D. Blackburn wrote on Facebook. “Congratulations Todd Bachman on showing your kids what true love really is…love for your children.”

Peck told the Chronicle-Telegram her father and step-father had “strained” relationship over the years, making the moment that more monumental.”My dad said, ‘It was only right that we both give you away,’” she said.

Talk about a close call! This is one catch where we definitely would not want to see the ball get dropped…

Just in time for Father’s Day, we’ve found the very best video that proves why Dear Old Dad is a true superstar. Much like when this happy husband and wife were surprised by a fly ball at a recent Phillies baseball game, one hero of a father saved the day with his seemingly superhuman reflexes.

This time around the Phillies were playing the Blue Jays when one baseball-loving dad decided to take his young daughter to the ballpark for some entertainment, snacks, and sun.

Although the tiny toddler decided to nap during the gorgeous afternoon game, she was quickly awoken by the sound of cheers from fans roaring around the stadium when her dad caught a foul ball flying right towards his baby girl like it was no big deal at all.

With his daughter and a bunch of ballpark snacks in his lap, there is no denying that this super-Dad is MVP of the game and his daughter’s heart.

Happy Father’s Day to all the awesome Dads out there!

We don’t know her name nor do we know where she got these incredible skills, but a security camera recently showed us her nifty tricks.

It seems the waitress was busy rushing around a busy shift at a safe in Spain when a cup of coffee slipped from the counter she had it resting on. While it’s been a rough week in the news, one British grandma is making everyone smile, including Google.

When 25-year-old Ben Eckersley, who lives near Manchester, England, went to his grandmother’s to do laundry, he noticed something charming on grandma’s computer.

When grandson, Ben, opened his nana’s laptop, he noticed that her Google search included, the words ‘please’ and ‘thank you.’ He posted a photo of the search to Twitter, and it has gone viral, even getting Google’s attention.

Ben asked his nan why she used ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ and it seemed that she thinks there is someone, a physical person, at Google’s headquarters who looks after the searches.

“She thought that by being polite and using her manners, the search would be quicker,” Ben told BBC.

While it certainly didn’t help speed up servers, it did warm the Internet’s heart.

Ben’s grandma, May Ashworth, who was born in 1930, spoke to CBC after her grandson’s tweet went viral, and she said that she is not computer savvy, and only uses Google a few times a week.

“I thought, well somebody’s put it in, so you’re thanking them,” she said. “I don’t know how it works to be honest. It’s all a mystery to me.”

Both Google UK and the main Google account issued a response on Twitter:

Mom Fires Babysitter After Gallons Of Water Dumped On Her 7-Month-Old

An Indianapolis, IN woman was forced to fire her babysitter after seeing a cell phone video showing gallons of water being dumped on the tiny 7-month-old.

The incident happened Wednesday at the splash pad on Lincoln Street in Greenwood, Indiana.

Mom, Brittany Dixson, said she was mortified after seeing the video at work, and realizing it was her daughter Annora. The woman who posted the video on Facebook was Desiree Howell, and she was concerned for the well-being of the baby and what she witnessed.

“Every cell in my body wanted to go grab that baby and keep her safe but the way people are these days you never know what could have happened,” Howell told IndyStar in a message via Facebook.

Howell said she watched the babysitter make the child walk on hot pavement, swing her too high and put the baby’s face directly in a sprinkler. She posted the video while waiting for the police to arrive.

“When I first saw the video it was just like why would you put a child underneath so much water at once?” mom, Dixson said in an interview with News 8. When Dixson confronted her babysitter, she said she apologized profusely.

“She was basically apologizing to me the whole time telling me how she’s so sorry, she really didn’t know that was the bucket that had the most water in it that dumped on her,” Dixson said.

“You allow that to happen,” she asked the babysitter. “You allow to let her walk on her barefoot on the hot cement, you swing her high up on the swing multiple times,” she said. Dixon ultimately fired the sitter, and now she doesn’t think she can trust anyone with her baby ever again.

“It’s terrifying to think that somebody could do something to your daughter, somebody you trust to watch your daughter at any moment of time,” said Dixson.

Worried about her daughter, Dixson took her to the emergency room to get checked out, and doctors told her Annora could have had dry drowning.

“She could have inhaled so much water once she went to sleep that night she could have actually drowned in her sleep because the water would have been trapped in her lungs,” she said. “But she didn’t have any water in her lungs or anything like that but he said that was a major possibility and he’s glad that I brought her in.”

WISH-TV could not reach the babysitter for her side of the story, but the Greenwood Police Department and the Department of Child Services are now investigating the incident.

Do you think this babysitter intended to hurt the child or was it just an act of poor judgement?

Humiliated Child Sent Home From School In Underwear

A 6-year-old girl was humiliated when her elementary school sent her home from school wearing nothing but underwear and a t-shirt.

When Florida dad Raymond McCurdy picked his daughter up from the school bus, he saw that she was carrying a bag of her own soiled clothing, was humiliated and in tears. As News 6 reports, after McCurdy learned why his daughter was put in this terrible situation, he’s speaking out to ensure it never happens again.

McCurdy’s daughter was in class at Belle Terre Elementary School in Palm West Coast when she raised her hand, needing to go to the bathroom. When the teacher reportedly ignored the girl, she did what any young kid would do because she couldn’t hold it in any longer.

The girl wound up soiling her underwear and pants, and rather than calling the McCurdy’s to bring their daughter a change of clothes, the school forced her to ride home on the school bus in nothing but a soiled shirt and a pair of underwear issued by the school. This led the girl to be bullied and laughed at by her peers, her mother Jennifer McCurdy said.

The McCurdys said that their little girl “has medical issues and when she has to go, she has to go.” This is something that they said the school knew about. McCurdy immediately went to speak with the assistant principal about the incident, saying:

“We asked her why my daughter was sent home in just panties and a T-shirt, and she begins to tell me, ‘We thought she had a long enough shirt to be able to put her on the school bus and send her home,’” McCurdy tells News 6.

Meanwhile, the Belle Elementary dress code states that clothing must be a minimum of 4 inches above the knee, unless it is deemed inappropriate. The parents say that their daughters shirt did violate this policy, because it left more skin than that exposed.

An English mother (or Mum, if we’re being British today), is speaking out about the harm that was done to her child after he came down with chicken pox.

The child ended up in the hospital with septicaemia after Mom, Hayley Lyons, claim four different doctors wrongly prescribed the over the counter anti-inflammatory drug.

Mom, Hayley Lyons, is warning parents of what can happen when ibuprofen is administered with Chicken Pox [Hayley Lyons]
Apparently, the common drug kicked the bacterial infection into overdrive and caused the boys immune system to overreact. After taking her son to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital Lyons she was told that he should never have been given the medicine because ‘it reacts with chicken pox making them go deeper into the skin tissue’.

Thankfully her son Lewis made a full recovery despite being riddled with scars from the potentially life-threatening condition.

But 10 months on Hayley, from Warrington, took to Facebook to share these graphic images of her son’s horrific reaction to the drug.

“Four different doctors from our local Hospital (out of hours) prescribed it for Lewis as we couldn’t get his temp down. They even administered it to him in A&E, ” Lyons writes.

“This type of medicine is an anti-inflammatory, it reacts with chicken pox making them go deeper into the skin tissue. It was only when we took Lewis to Alder Hey because the doctors from our hospital kept sending him home saying it was ‘just chicken pox’ we found this out. He ended up with septicaemia and was admitted straight to Alder Hey as soon as we arrived there. Only because we persevered an took Lewis to a children’s hospital off our own back was he ok. This could have ended up so much worse if it wasn’t for those doctors at Alder Hey and their advice, care and knowledge.”

If anybody recommends ibuprofen for chicken pox, please double check with doctors and do your homework before you give it to your children.

Fortunately, this child recovered unharmed with just a few scars. But other children have not been so lucky so PLEASE SHARE with other parents as a way of getting the word out to the world.

Monkey Lived His Whole Life Sandwiched Between Two Walls

When Edwin Wiek, founder of Wildlife Friends Foundation of Thailand received an email from a Bangkok resident worried about a monkey he had seen living in between two walls, he rushed there to find out what was going on.

When Wiek arrived, he spotted a macaque monkey named Joe sandwiched between walls and living in a dark cage.

“I have seen a lot of animal suffering in the last 17 years, but I would say that the condition the monkey was kept in was probably in the ‘top 10’ of most horrible cases,” Wiek said.

The poor monkey had lived nearly his whole life in a 3-foot long “hellhole,” with not even water to survive on. He lived in dirt and feces, and the ground beneath him was a mass of garbage.

When the Wildlife Friends Foundation of Thailand began to dissemble Joe’s prison, they noticed it was filled with rats. The monkey’s owner told WFFT that he had been living like that since 1991, which is an astonishing 25 years of suffering.

The team provided Joe with medical care and discovered he was worse off than they thought.

“Joe was dirty and very weak, as his cage was so small he could not walk or climb at all and his muscle tissue was almost gone,” Wiek wrote. “His teeth were very bad and he was dehydrated.”

Fortunately, after speaking with Joe’s owner (who could not afford to support him), they were able to obtain permission to take Joe home with them. Wiek recalls having mixed feelings about the rescue: “On Tuesday I realised that all that time that I have been living and working in Thailand, this monkey has been in that cage, waiting for someone to rescue him,” he said. “I just wish we would have known earlier.”

“I felt embarrassed to be a human being, seeing what humans again and again do to animals,” Wiek continued. “But at the same time I was feeling proud to be a human, being able to make a positive difference in this horrible case.”

Joe can now live out the next 10 years or so of his life in freedom, as he is on the road to recovery.

“He walks around but is not able to climb yet, too weak and without the experience to do so. We hope he will still have some quality years ahead at our sanctuary,” Wiek said.

Model and new Mom Chrissy Teigen recently took a trip to Disneyland with her husband John Legend.

While experiencing the thrill of Splash Mountain, the young mother experienced one of the other thrills that comes with breastfeeding.

Teigen was bluntly honest about the ride when she posted this picture to Instagram with the caption, “MY MILK.”

Only those who have experienced the ups and downs of new motherhood will get it:

MY MILK

Throughout the entire roller coaster that is new motherhood, Teigen has been light-hearted and laughing, always joking about her love of food and the unexpected goodies that come with being a Mom.

If you are one of those Moms, take a moment to chuckle at the blunt honesty in this photo and PLEASE SHARE with friends and family

Roxanne is a 1-year-old pit bull who was found wandering around Columbia, South Carolina, all by herself.

She had a 6-pound chain wrapped tightly around her neck, and her head was terribly swollen from having to drag it around.

When Rescue Dogs Rock NYC heard about Roxanne, they were shocked when the chain weighed more than 10% of her body weight- Roxanne was only 50 pounds.

The group immediately took Roxanne and rushed her to a vet in South Carolina. Doctors worked tirelessly to remove the chain from Roxanne’s neck- having to cut it off resulting in heavy bolt cutters.

Once the chain was off, Roxanne was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery.

While doctors were worried that Roxanne would bleed out, after her neck was cut open and exposed from the chain, she somehow pulled through.

Roxanne is now recovering at the vet, and her swelling in her head has gone down completely and back to a normal size.

Instead of taking his son to the dentist, this adventurous dad thought of a really creative way to pull out his son’s loose tooth- with an actual helicopter.

Rick Rahim is a commercial pilot in Virginia, and he has over 13 years of experience and 1,000 hours with flying helicopters.

The unbelievable video begins with Rahim’s son standing in a field with a long piece of string attached to his wobbly tooth. On the other end, is the 1,000 horsepower chopper with dad in the pilot’s seat.

With his headpiece in place, Rahim gives his son a double thumbs up, then slowly begins lifting off the ground, gently removing the tooth in the process. It’s by far the coolest tooth removal video we’ve ever seen!
