Dad Punished For Confronting Bully Tormenting His Children

Parents will do anything to protect their kids, which is why one dad decided to take matters into his own hands after both their school AND the police refused to do anything to protect his kids from a vicious bully.

Soon after dad Christopher Cooper enrolled his two children, 11-year-old Millie and 9-year-old Braiden, at a new school, they started coming home in tears and covered in bruises as a school bully started attacking them almost daily. Cooper immediately notified the school after every incident, yet the abuse continued for over 12 months.

With no options left, Cooper took to his Facebook page to vent his frustrations in a post, which quickly went viral in March. Even after Millie was pushed to the ground and kicked in the ribs, had her glasses stomped on, and had drinks poured on her, and Braiden was brutally beaten multiple times, had his arm broken, and was verbally abused, the police and the school failed to protect the kids.

“Feel absolutely lost,” Cooper wrote. “Both have been so emotionally affected that I’m concerned Millie is on the verge of having an eating disorder, Braiden has been caught physically making himself sick to avoid going to school. Cumbria police say it’s a school issue despite some assaults taking place outside of school, North Walney Primary School, response has been to punish the bully by phoning his parents – clearly an effective policy for 12 months.”

“Finally at the end of my tether I approached the bully with my daughter. I will be honest – I told her to pin him up against the fence, knee him in the balls and tell him not to touch you again, sadly she didn’t because she feared of repercussions from ‘his gang’. Instead it was left to me to challenge him, I told him straight to leave my kids alone or there would be consequences. I didn’t touch him, I certainly didn’t threaten him,” Cooper explained.

As a result, Cooper was issued a two-year restraining order from the bully, was sentenced with a Section 5 public order offense, and was forced to pay a fine for taking matters into his own hands and ‘bullying’ the bully.

“I was prosecuted for telling him there would be consequences if he didn’t leave my kids alone – so if you’re in a similar circumstance think and act very carefully,” Cooper said.

Waiter Feeds Baby So Stressed Mom Can Eat Her Meal

We’ve all had days where it feels like nothing goes our way, and after spending the day at a children’s hospital having her baby undergo countless tests, one mom thought nothing could make her day worse. That is, until she stopped for a bite to eat on her way home.

36-year-old mom Dallas French was exhausted after spending all morning at Arkansas Children’s Hospital so her 4-month-old named Ellee could undergo more tests after testing positive for E. coli. By the time all the tests were done, the whole family was starving, so they decided to stop at an Olive Garden to get something to eat before getting back on the road.

“She was starving and I was trying to make a bottle and spilled it all over me and the floor and made another bottle and our waiter (wish I knew his name) watched all that had happened,” said French who had been distracted by worrying about her daughter’s health.

“[There’s] nothing like worrying about what’s wrong with your child,” French said.

The exhausted mom was sure her waiter was about to come over and give her grief over the spill, but instead he said, “here let me feed her and you eat.”

“This melted all of us and this is what we need more of! He fed her I ate my salad and bread sticks and that milk on the floor got cleaned up after we left because he just understood! He didn’t even know what we had went through that day and showed us love and understanding- not irritated that I had made a mess and my baby was screaming,” French said of the waiter, who was later identified as Robert Davis, a father of two.

“He just stepped in and took care of us,” French said. “It was just amazing for a stressed-out mom.”

Can you believe what this waiter said to this mom after she made a mess at a restaurant? Let us know what you think in the comments below, and please SHARE this with friends on Facebook.

Normally, when you see a dog left alone in a car on a hot summer day it’s a cause for major concern, but the pushy pup in the following video seems like he can definitely take care of himself!

During the “dog days” of summer, people tend to freak out when they see a pet or small child locked inside a car, as they can quickly turn into an oven, killing your loved one. However, when one passerby in Bryansk, Russia saw a dog flying solo in his owner’s car, he knew he had to pull out his phone to start recording a video – instead of calling the police.

In the hilarious video below from Viral Hog, we see a very impatient pooch let his owner know it’s time to hurry up, because he’s been waiting way too long in the car alone. If it was anyone else honking a parked car horn, people would likely be pretty annoyed, but you just have to laugh at this furball.

Can you imagine if you saw a dog do this on your street?! Check out the video below!

Did this dog have you cracking up or feeling bad that he was left locked up all alone? Let us know in the comments…

You’ve heard the old saying “never judge a book by its cover”, but do you actually follow that golden rule in your everyday life?

Sometimes we can unknowingly judge someone on the street with a quick look or thought popping into our heads, and it’s all harmless, right? However, it’s the times when we open our mouths or purposely give a rude gesture with the intention of making someone else feel inferior. For people of certain backgrounds, ethnicities, and those who just want to stand out, these stares, comments, and backhanded compliments are the norm… even though they are usually great people who are dangerously being stereotyped by strangers.

That’s exactly why Mary Walls Penney, a nurse who specializes in caring for seniors with Alzheimer’s and dementia, and has a flare for the colorful, decided to take down her haters with an epic story on Facebook. While it’s no doubt Mary stands out in a crowd, with her colorful rainbow unicorn-esque mane, there was absolutely no reason for a stranger to make the unnecessary comments regarding her hair and career.

After work, Mary stopped to pick up some items when she was asked about her nursing nametag by a cashier she had never met before. The rude cashier couldn’t help but take a jab at Mary. “I’m surprised they let you work there like that. What do your patients think about your hair?”, Mary wrote on Facebook.

“She then proceeded to ask the elderly lady that was in line behind me, “What do you think about her hair?”
The kind older lady said, “Nothing against you honey, it’s just not for me.”
Then the cashier continued to comment that they didn’t allow that sort of thing even when she worked fast food and that she was shocked that a nursing facility would allow that.”

Mary went on to explain that her colorful hair has never stopped her from saving one of her patient’s lives. “My tattoos have never kept them from holding my hand and as they lay frightened and crying because Alzheimer’s has stolen their mind. My multiple ear piercings have never interfered with me hearing them reminisce about their better days or listening to them as they express their last wishes. My tongue piercing has never kept me from speaking words of encouragement to a newly diagnosed patient or from comforting a family that is grieving.”

“So, please explain to me how my appearance, while being paired with my cheerful disposition, servant’s heart, and smiling face, has made me unfit to provide nursing care and unable to do my job!”

Police Rescue Kitten Struggling To Stay Afloat On Oyster Reef

[Martin County Sheriff's Office]

An oyster reef is a good place to find oysters, bivalve molluscs that live in brackish environments and are necessary to sustain the ecosystem.

However, an oyster reef is a pretty bad place to search for a kitten, yet one little guy managed to find his way out onto one in Florida without anybody knowing how he got there.

The kitten was rescued last week by the Martin County Sheriff’s Marine Unit and is being prepared for adoption by caretakers.

Passersby noticed something strange when they heard soft cries coming from the water. They called in the oddity and heroes arrived in the blink of an eye.

The incident took place in Southern Florida, just North of West Palm Beach.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office has been tracking the safety and progress of the kitten they rescued from the water and is ready to see it find a happy home, Martin County officials said.

The Marine Unit says when they finally arrived at the water, officials found a tiny kitten climbing onto oysters on the pilings, struggling to to keep his tiny head above the water.

Deputies rescued the kitten, and it was taken to the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast, where caregivers named him “Roosevelt,” after the bridge. The Humane Society has been updating Roosevelt’s progress on its Facebook page and is asking people to reach out if they’re interested in adopting him.

It is essential that we care for our pets, especially on days of extreme heat.

When a local branch of the Associated Humane Society got a concerned call about two dogs “dancing” atop a Newark, N.J. residence to keep themselves from burning, they knew they had to get over there right away.

Once officers arrived, they found the two desperate dogs in extreme pain, one who was a pit bull and the other, a yorkie.

“The yorkie continuously ran to the edge of the roof to try to find an area that would not burn her further while the pit bull, covered in hot tar, had nearly given up hope,” the Associated Humane Popcorn Park Shelter posted on Facebook.

“No one was at home at the residence and while there were trays of chicken legs and rice on the roof, there was not a drop of water in sight. Feces covered the roof as well so apparently, this is where these poor dogs live,” the shelter continued.

Since the rescue, the shelter has given the animals 24-hour veterinary care, and according to their update from the veterinary hospital, both dogs are resting comfortably and are no longer in pain.

As far as whether or not the dogs’ owners will be prosecuted, the shelter said that’s up to animal law enforcement, but they remain hopeful.

Father Of Boy Scout, 12, Who Died Hiking In Triple-Digit Heat, Wants Answers

People all around the United States have been experiencing the inescapable effects of the ‘heat dome’ that has descended on our country, bringing unprecedented high temperatures.

While most of us are just frustrated about our electric bills going up from excessive air conditioner use and trying to cool off in any way we can, many people – and their pets – are in danger due to the heat wave.

With temperatures reaching up to 112+ degrees in Phoenix, Arizona last week, one family has experienced the worst possible scenario from the weather. Twelve-year-old Cody Flom succumbed to the triple-digit temperatures while hiking with his mother’s boyfriend, who police have not yet named, in the Sonoran Desert Preserve.

According to the man, the boy became ill, likely from heat stroke and dehydration, so he left him to go find help, as he was unable to use his cell phone. Cody, who was a boy scout and “math wiz” according to his devastated father, passed away after being airlifted to a local hospital.

[GoFundMe]
[GoFundMe]
Now Cody’s dad, who is both grief-stricken and angry, has many questions he wants answered. “Why? How could you leave him out there to cook?”, Brian Flom told AZFamily.com, explaining the boy was staying with his mother and the boyfriend when this happened. He said he would have never approved the hike in the sweltering heat.

“I believe this is a negligent homicide caused by incredibly poor judgment and that’s the way it needs to be looked at,” said Flom.

The father says his son’s core temperature rose to 108 degrees and first responders brought in “truckloads of ice to try and cool him down”. However, the father noticed that his only son’s body was also covered in bruises from the neck down.

“His left leg was fully lacerated. There were pieces of his skin missing. His hands, elbows, knees, just completely cut up,” said Flom. “Something doesn’t make sense. It will come out, I’m hoping.”

This GoFundMe page has been set up by Brian Flom, his older daughter, Breanna Owen, and his ex-wife, who are distraught and said they didn’t give Cody permission to hike that day.

“I’m just going to miss my best friend,” Brian Flom said. “The world was a better place with him in it.”

While raising a baby is a messy and exhausting job, it’s also the most rewarding jobs for parents, as they get to watch their child grow and experience milestones like crawling, walking, and talking.

When this baby’s Mom and Dad could tell their baby was on the verge of talking, Mom tried to coach her adorable boy to say ‘mama’ by repeating it over and over in hopes that he would repeat her as she filmed. However, the little boy had some competition with the family dog sitting right next to him.

As Mom and Dad continued to try to get their little boy to say ‘mama’, their impatient Australian Shepherd beats the baby to saying ‘mama’, as he effortlessly pronounces the word in between cries.

While the dog may have been motivated by the food Mom was flaunting in front of his face, the baby boy was still jealous that he stole the spotlight, and adorably tries to push him out of the way.

5 Ways All Parents Can Save Money During Back-To-School Shopping

For most parents, back-to-school shopping is just about the only way they can get their kids excited about actually going back to school, but all those new clothes and school supplies can add up quickly.

As the summer comes to an end, you might start feeling the pressure to get your children prepared for the upcoming school year, which is already stressful enough. With a little preparation and the right strategy, however, getting ready for school luckily doesn’t have to be as stressful or as expensive as you think.

Take a look at the 5 best ways you can save some money this year when you go back-to-school shopping.

5. Avoid Themes: Children are extremely fickle, and while your little one might love something now, it might not be long until they hate it. Try sticking to basics as much as possible and let your child choose one or two themed items so in a few months when they decide that Disney character is no longer their favorite, you won’t have to throw out and repurchase all new supplies.

Also, any plain items that survive this year can be reused next year without looking dated or ’embarrassing’.

4. Review What You Already Have: Chances are, you probably have a lot of the essentials at home already, especially if this isn’t your first time shopping for school supplies. Before you even think about buying anything, go through everything at home so you don’t waste money buying things you already have, like extra notebooks, folders, crayons, glue sticks, and loose leaf.

3. Online Shopping: Before stepping in a store, start looking online early for supplies. Not only is it easier to keep track of prices online instead of running around to different stores, you can make buy a few things at a time when a good deal spring up and slowly chip away at the list.

2. Use The List: Teachers will give out a supply list at the start of each year, and they make them for a reason. Sticking to the list will make sure your child has everything they’ll need, and will save you from wasting money on items they really don’t need. No matter how cute you think something is, if it’s not on the list, it will probably never get used or end up crushed at the bottom of their backpack.

1. Look For Deals: Take advantage of great back-to-school sales at the end of the summer and make sure to find out what deals stores are or will be offering. For example, stores like Office Depot, Target, and Staples offer great deals on school essentials like pencils, highlighters, notebooks, and pens. Look here to see the five stores offering school items for less than $1.

What other back-to-school saving tips have you picked up over the years? Let us know what you think in the comments below, and please SHARE this with other parents on Facebook.

Teens Help Save Babies Locked In Overheated Car

With temperatures skyrocketing all over the country, it’s more important than ever to help keep those who depend on us for safety hydrated and cool.

We’ve seen many stories this summer about good Samaritans coming to the rescue of pets locked in hot cars, which can quickly turn into a legit oven in the sun. However, it’s so important for parents to be reminded that leaving their kids in the car with the windows up just to swiftly run into the store like this mom did or to pump some gas, can have deadly results.

In the following video, which features a real-life rescue caught on camera by a group of skaters, we see how two little ones were saved just in the nick of time when their mom accidentally locked them, along with her keys, in a parking lot on a hot summer day. The teenage skaters were cruising around when they saw a group of people hovering near the parked car and decided to go investigate.

Mom and the concerned citizens couldn’t figure out how to unlock the car to get the two babies, ages 1 and 2, to safety. The skaters instantly offered up their skateboards to try and crack the windshield, but when that wasn’t successful, a man came through with a large pipe just before it was too late.

This incredible video had our hearts pounding! Please SHARE it to remind other parents to be careful out there.

Mom Awakes From Near-Fatal Coma When She Hears Newborn’s Cry

After nine months of a healthy pregnancy, it’s easy for parents to feel excited, like they’re in the clear, before welcoming their newborn into the world.

Unfortunately, as we’ve seen too many times, childbirth can be extremely dangerous for some women, and for the occasional new mother, even deadly. Much like this mom, who is grateful for both her and her daughter to be alive after suffering medical problems post-childbirth, the story of Shelly Ann Cawley swept the nation when this new mom’s life was saved by the tiny one she just gave life to.

[Facebook]
[Facebook]
The 23-year-old North Carolina mom underwent an emergency C-section on the day she was set to give birth to her daughter in 2014, but instead of it being a joyous occasion, it became the most terrifying day of her husband’s life. Shelly fell into a coma while under anesthesia when a blood clot created internal bleeding for the mom-to-be while in surgery. Doctors did everything they could to save baby girl Rylan, who was born healthy, but they feared the worst for her mother.

[PEOPLE]
[PEOPLE]
“The doctors had done all they could and it was clear, they absolutely thought they were losing her at this point,” Jeremy Cawley told PEOPLE of the horrifying day. After a few hours, the doctors were worried when Shelly didn’t wake up, so one of the delivery room nurses decided to try the power of skin-to-skin contact with her new baby, since it had worked the other way around in the past.

The brilliant nurse encouraged the baby to cry as loud as possible and after a few minutes, a miracle occurred. Rylan’s wail awoke her mother from the coma and after weeks of recovery, she was healed and ready to finish nursing school.

Today, Shelly Ann Cawley works as a nurse at the same hospital where her peers saved her life.

“It’s pretty awesome. I cross paths with some of the people who saved me all the time,” she told PEOPLE “I have people that come up to me because they know the story and they’re thrilled to see me because nobody thought I was going to live.”

Dog Leads Rescue Crew to Senior Owner Stranded in the Woods

There is no shortage of amazing animal rescue stories out there, but it’s definitely not every day we hear about an animal that does the saving.

If any dog deserves the nickname “Lassie” in real life, it might just be Guy, a brave mutt who knew exactly what to do when his elderly owner ran into trouble. Guy joined his 79-year-old owner for a hike in the woods near Hazleton, Pennsylvania when the man fell and hit his head, according to reports from rescuers. The man dialed 911 for help and first responders scoured the area for hours, with no end in sight, when they came across the man’s barking dog.

“We stopped at an embankment. We didn’t think we would be able to drive up. The county was telling us he was up there. We were starting to debate, if we could get up there [then] how are we getting down,” Matthew Marsicano of Hazle Township said to WNEP16.

Guy found the rescue crew before they found his owner and was able to lead them safely to his location

“The dog ran up the bank, would stop every 20-30 feet and look back and start barking,” Marsciano said. “As we got [the man] loaded up and started carrying him down, every time we carried him the dog was whining right at our feet. We would have to stop to not trip over the dog. When we put him down the dog sat right next to him.”

Although the elderly hiker was unnamed in reports, we can hope he gives his loyal furry companion a nice reward for his bravery and loyalty!

Are you amazed by how Guy graciously came to the rescue of his beloved owner? Please SHARE this heroic dog’s incredible story with your friends on Facebook today!

Pit Bull Becomes A Hero When She Saves Her Owner From Oncoming Train

To anybody who has ever criticized Pit Bulls for being a vicious breed…this story is for you!

A Pit Bull named Lilly is being hailed a hero after she pulled her unconscious owner from the path of a freight train.

Christine Spain was walking home with Lilly when she fell unconscious onto the railroad tracks in Shirley, Mass., the Sentinel and Enterprise reports.

After only a few short moments, a freight train was barreling toward Lilly and the unconscious Spain.

[Christine Spain]
[Christine Spain]
“I don’t know if she collapsed or what happened, but she passed out,” Rob Halpin, spokesman for the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals told the Sentinel and Enterprise. “The engineer, the only witness, told police he saw a dog frantically pulling at a woman as he drew closer. He did everything he could. He heard a thump and thought he hit both.”

[Christine Spain]
[Christine Spain]

The engineer slammed the brakes, but because it’s a train, he couldn’t keep from hitting them entirely. When he hopped out, he saw Spain and Lilly were both okay.

The 8-year-old pit bull suffered a severe injury to her right foot and fractured her pelvis in multiple locations. She sustained other internal injuries but is okay overall.

Unfortunately, Lilly’s foot could not be saved and her right front leg had to be amputated, but her veterinarian said Lilly should be able to walk once she’s fully recovered.

According to WCVB-TV due to her age, Lilly must recover from the amputation before she can undergo surgery for her other injuries.

Despite the trauma she has endured, Fox News reports that the canine hero is on the road to recovery.

“I’m supposed to be the strong one. I’m supposed to be here for her, but she’s been so great, so tough through all this that it almost feels like she’s the one comforting me, being there for me and making me feel better,” Spain said

If you have ever been skydiving, you know the giddy horror that comes right before you jump from the plane.

It starts in your shoulders, clenching the back of your neck like a tight fist that slowly works its way down your spine. Fear has a funny way of wrapping its tendrils around our tightly curled toes, but what you’re about to see is more than just adrenaline-fueled excitement, it’s a modern-day horror movie.

The following video was posted by Nomadic Adrenaline, who like his YouTube title implies, is an adrenaline junkie. However, he never expected to have such a scary encounter when he jumped from 12,000 feet.

“On the 14th of November 2014 while doing stage five of my Accelerated Free Fall program I had a near death experience,” he says.

“At around 9000ft I had a seizure while attempting a left-hand turn. I then spend the next 30 seconds in free fall unconscious. Thankfully my jumpmaster manages to pull my ripcord at around 4000ft. I become conscious at 3000 ft and land safely back to the ground.”

[Nomadic Adrenaline]
[Nomadic Adrenaline]
This man had experienced a seizure in mid-air, leaving him unable to pull the shoot and sending him into an uncontrolled free fall. All he could do was lie there while the earth loomed closer and closer before his eyes. Can you imagine anything more terrifying than this?

Take a look at the video below (if you dare) and please SHARE with friends and family.

Just make sure you don’t share with this man’s poor mother earth. It’s bad enough having an adrenaline-driven child, so she definitely does not need to see this.

Customers At Red Robin Did Not Want To Be Served By Waitress With Blue Hair

It was a regular night for server Ashley Chiarizzio at Red Robin until she received news from her manager that a customer didn’t want to be served by her.

Twenty-year-old Chiarizzio told News 2, “He told me, ‘She doesn’t like the way you look,’” Chiarizzio explained. “He said, ‘She doesn’t like what you represent—the tattoos, the piercings, hair—she wants a new server.’”

Having worked at Red Robin for almost 11 months, Chiarizzio was used to receiving compliments from customers, not complaints“I get told all the time that they love my hair, or wish they could pull it off. I also get compared to Joy from ‘Inside Out’ very often, I’ve even adopted it as a nickname at work,” Chiarizzio told Independent Journal Review.

But after Chiarizzio was hurt by the customer’s reaction to her appearance, she took to Facebook to share her thoughts:

Credit: 1029thebuzz.com
Credit: 1029thebuzz.com

“To the lady who refused to let me serve her tonight because you didn’t agree with ‘what I represented’ and ‘how I presented myself’, I just wanted to let you know, while I cried on my drive home, I prayed for you. I pray God over looks your judgement of me, I pray you learn acceptance and tolerance to things you didn’t grow up with, and I pray that you learn someone’s appearance does not affect their ability to work (especially to serve burgers and fries).”

“You did however, light a fire under my butt so now I’m sitting at home with an even brighter blue in my hair, and planning out my next tattoo! All with you in mind. 🙂 I hope you had a great dinner, and enjoyed your night out with your husband,” Chiarizzio continued. “Also.. Might want to avoid restaurants that openly allow their employees to have tattoos, piercings, and “weird” hair. I hear Olive Garden is nice,” said Chiarizzio.

Chiarizzio’s coworkers showed their support by sporting blue hair for her birthday a few days later, and even applying temporary tattoos.

Chiarizzio told IJ Review,

“If I could say anything to the public, it would be to not be so quick to judge my work ethic or ability based on trivial things like hair or tattoos. It’s my little way of showing the world that I’m a free-spirited, colorful person- without having to say a word.”

Since the ordeal, Chiarizzio has been flooded with gifts, money, and a ton of support. She’s also taken something valuable away from the whole experience, saying, “my supporters more than outweigh the non-supporters, and […] I can and should continue to do what makes me happy because I will never be able to please everyone.”

Little Girl Swims With GIANT Burmese Python

Swimming pools can be extremely dangerous for children. In fact, about 10 people die each day in a swimming pool in the United States. However, the danger lurking in this swimming pool might not be what you expect.

On a sunny afternoon, California dad Corey Wallace thought it was the perfect day for him and his family to take a swim, including their 8-year-old pet snake named Sumatra. However, when dad posted a video of his two young daughters swimming side by side with Sumatra, people were shocked by how irresponsible he was being.

In the video, Wallace’s little girl casually swims beside the giant albino Burmese Python, and even pets Sumatra’s head and body as she dips below the surface and explores the pool.

While Burmese Pythons are not venomous, they are extremely strong snakes and can constrict their prey until the die. According to the United States Geological Survey, there have never been any human deaths from wild Burmese Pythons in Florida. “All known constrictor-snake fatalities in the United States are from captive snakes; these are split between deaths of snake owners who were purposefully interacting with their pet and deaths of small children or infants in homes where a snake was kept captive as a pet.”

Despite the potential danger, Wallace insists Sumatra is a gentle snake who would never harm anyone. “She has been to over 500 birthday parties and many schools, she has been around kids since she was a baby, she has never killed anything she even likes our dogs and cat,” he explained.

Police Arrest Man After Security Cam Catches Him Taking Upskirting Photos

Upskirting is a horrifying new trend that only came to our attention a few years ago.

As phone technology improves and cameras are suddenly carried on us at all times, we find ourselves living in increasingly more public environments. One of the ways we now live in public is through the invasion of privacy that comes when smartphones and cameras are used to take photos up the skirt of a woman, also known as ‘upskirting.’ What is done with those photos is ghastly to think about.

Take, for example, the Chester Township incident that happened in Pennsylvania back in May. Police arrested a man after he was accused of taking pictures up the skirt of a woman while she was standing in line at a business in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania.

Bobby D. Hayden, 33, is now facing several charges including invasion of privacy, harassment, and disorderly conduct.

And the whole dirty deed was caught on camera thanks to a security camera in the corner of the store:

Video from the May 10 footage inside the Pretzel Factory on South 69th Street shows Hayden put his cell phone under the victim’s skirt and snap several photos.

Police say she felt someone touch her leg so she turned and confronted Hayden, who ran off.

Hayden was later taken into custody and is being held on $20,000 bond at Delaware County Prison.

What do you make of upskirting and the lack of privacy we face more frequently? Tell us your thoughts in the comments and please SHARE with friends and family on Facebook.

Giant Black Bear Cools Off In Kids Swimming Pool

Every pet owner will know that summer heat can be tough for pets, especially if they’re covered in thick, dense fur that makes it impossible for them to cool off.

Aside from shedding enough hair to cover another dog, these fluffy animals will try just about anything to cool down, which is why one Minnesota dad wasn’t shocked when he looked out the window to the back porch and found his giant black Newfoundland named Gipper in the kiddie pool trying to cool off in the water.

However, as dad David Zbaracki went about his business in the kitchen getting things ready before his kids woke up, he spotted his 125-pound dog in the kitchen. “I kind of did a double take,” Zbaracki said.

When he turned and looked back, he realized what he thought was Gipper, who is “big, black and furry just like a bear” was actually a black bear relaxing in the kiddie pool. “I guess he just wanted to cool off, so we left him alone,” Zbaracki wrote.

Since Zbaracki posted the picture of his incredible surprise, a local photographer reached out and explained the bear, who peacefully wandered off about 15 minutes later, was actually the same bear that has been visiting his Aunt and Uncle for the last 15 years who they named Bert.

Can you believe what this dad found in the kiddie pool? Let us know what you think in the comments below, and please Share this hysterical moment with friends on Facebook.

School Sends Little Girl Home With Note Saying She’s Too Fat

By the time students get to high school, almost 30 percent of students are considered obese or overweight, which is why public schools in New York have been using ‘Fitnessgrams’ to help measure students’ health from a young age.

After one mom witnessed her third grader pinching at her skin after being sent home with her own Fitnessgram that called her fat, however, she slammed the school for fat-shaming her healthy 9-year-old who weighed just 66 pounds at the time.

In 2014, Gwendolyn Williams and her classmates were sent home with their Fitnessgrams, and were instructed not to open them. However, like the rest of her curious classmates, she opened the letter, which was only sealed with a small sticker, and was devastated that she was considered “overweight.”

“My daughter is thin; she knows she doesn’t have a weight problem, but that night, I caught her grabbing the skin near her waist, and she asked me, ‘is this what they were talking about?”‘ said mom Laura Bruiji Williams. “It was awful to see.”

Many other students were confused and upset when they found out they were obese and spent the night crying, however, the school claims they were instructed not to open the letters in the first place. “With body image such an issue, it’s amazing to me that these letters weren’t mailed to parents,” Williams said. “What kid’s not going to open that?”

Aside from the school handling the issue poorly and devastating young children’s self-esteem, Williams also felt the entire fitness assessment needs to be revised since body mass index (BMI) has long been criticized by health experts because they don’t accurately measure body fat.

Do you think this mom has a right to be angry with the school? Let us know what you think in the comments below, and please SHARE this with friends on Facebook.
