Animal rescue teams are used to finding animals at their worst and saving them from the brink of death, however, when a team of rescuers found a stray on the side of railroad tracks, they couldn’t believe their eyes.

After railroad workers found a stray dog lying beside the train tracks, they realized something was very wrong and immediately called for help. The dog, who was later named Deepak, had been hit by a passing train and most of his limbs were completely shredded.

“His front leg was attached by just a few threads of tissue,” Animal Aid Unlimited wrote. “We had never before rescued a dog so horrifically injured. With broken hearts, we thought we had to put him to sleep.” However, they decided to try and see if the dog could be saved.

For five hours, a vet worked tirelessly to save Deepak and amputate his crushed legs. And despite not being able to walk anymore, Deepak finally recovered six months later, and spends his days at Habitat Heaven swimming and playing with other dogs with limited use of their limbs. “They have full, stimulated, curious, inquisitive, territorial, happy and lovely lives,” a woman at the rescue said.

Instead of getting dressed up in a formal attire, the couple chose to stay casual in jeans, boots, and simple black and white shirts. But instead of just posing with each other, the two hunters actually killed a deer during the photo shoot, gutted it completely, and used the poor animal and its organs as props.

In some photos, the couple is pictured holding hands and even kissing over the deer’s lifeless body, and in other they decided to use the fresh heart and the engagement ring as a symbol of their love.

If parents went to the emergency room every time their kid gets a cut, wakes up with a fever, or gets a rash, they’d be at the hospital just about every week.

However, one Australian mom knew she had to get her son to the hospital when he woke up with a strange small rash, and it may have saved his life. Mom La Vonne Palmer noticed a small rash on her son Eli when he woke this past week, and decided it was time to go to the hospital when she realized he had a fever as well.

Palmer had no idea what was wrong with her little boy, but wanted to check with doctors that everything was fine. However, after being admitted to the ER, the rash began to worsen and mysterious black spots began to spread from his legs to his fingers. Doctors soon realized that Eli was suffering from Meningococcal disease, which can cause death within hours if not caught in time.

Luckily Palmer managed to get Eli to the hospital in time, and while he’s still fighting the deadly disease, doctors have stabilized him. Now, Palmer is sharing her son’s story to warn parents to always take rashes seriously and look out for other common signs of Meningococcal like nausea or vomiting, drowsiness, joint pain, and irritation around bright lights.

When 6-year-old James thought he was left inside a home alone, he did the only thing he knew how- he called the police. 

James had been staying with his grandmother, Shari Wyluda, and while she only walked outside for less than 5 minutes, this felt like a long time for James. Wyluda tells WBMF News that she took the trash out and had a short conversation with her neighbor while James was upstairs playing. She said she yelled up and told him she was stepping outside, but he must not have heard her. 

James was taught to text and call his grandfather using an iPad in the case of an emergency which he did. James’ grandpa then got the Darlington Police to come to the house to make sure everything was ok. When police arrived and James realized his grandmother was home, he thought he would get in trouble, but police officers and his grandmother assured him he did the right thing. “I was trying to calm him down and the next thing I know, Chief Watson was at my door,” Wyluda explained. 

Darlington Police said that James did what most people are afraid to do, or don’t know how to do, and it was all because he was taught how to make a phone call on the iPad. Police Chief Danny Watson said people can do three things in an emergency: panic, do nothing or do something. “And I just can’t emphasize it enough; here we have a 6-year old little boy that took the initiative and did something,” Wyluda said.

“You know, help would have been on the way immediately,” she continued. “Whether you teach them all the ways of communicating via phone, 911, or texting, iPad, or you, know social media, whatever way to get the message to have that child get the help that they need.” Wyluda stressed how important it is for parents to have a plan ready for kids at home so that they know what to do in any emergency situation. “The moment he came into my life he’s been attached to my hip, and he’s taught me so much through life. (He’s) a very bright little boy,” the proud grandma said.

The following day, officers came back to the house to say ‘thank you’ to James for doing the right thing. James said, with a huge smile on his face, “The police officers are here to help me.”

Little Boy Calls The Police After His Grandmother Went Missing is an article from: LifeDaily

When rescuers from Animal Aid Unlimited India spotted a dog curled up on the side of the road, it broke their hearts. 

As they got a closer, they realized the dog was suffering from an extreme case of mange and it was uncertain how long he had been on the streets. Luckily, rescuers had a net to catch the dog, since they couldn’t risk him running away and going another day without treatment. 

Once they got him to Animal Aid, they realized just how much he was he was suffering, an he was exhausted and inward on the first day. 

It was apparent he hadn’t been touched in a long time. 

They treated him for dehydration, and by the 10th day his skin was healing nicely. 

After two months of intensive treatment, he was doing great, and was even comfortable spending time with people and other dogs.

Sick Dog Gave Up Hope Until Rescuers Saved His Life is an article from: LifeDaily

A father’s job is never finished, especially when your grown son rudely gives parenting remarks to a new Mom, despite having no kids of his own.

That’s what happened to new Mom Lucy Hatami, who was simply struggling to eat breakfast with an infant in tow. The young mother said she tried getting out of the house for breakfast, in a Facebook post that has since gone viral.

“I wish she’d shut that thing up,” he muttered, according to Hatami.

The father clipped his son on the ear and said:

What and you think you were perfect? You were a right little sod. No stop being a brat, go up there and apologise to her and offer to get her breakfast as she clearly has her hands full!

As a result, this new Mom, who definitely had her hands full, received a buffet breakfast and cup of coffee all paid for by a kid who is still learning a lesson in manners.

Nobody likes the ‘backseat blues,’ but if you have ore than one child, it’s a burden all parents are forced to bear.

‘Backseat Blues’ are the unofficial name of what happens when you put two toddlers together for a long car ride (or in some cases–a short car ride). Parents don’t want to deal with fighting children in the backseat while they are trying to focus on driving, and Ohio Dad, Jake White just found the cure. This stay-at-home Dad has a history in fine arts and sculpture, ergo, when it comes to nifty inventions, he has it all figured out.

Most recently, White’s triplets Xavier, Stella and Jude have been fighting over snacks in the backseat. To ensure peace is kept, White invented a divider for his children.

“I did it because there was snack-stealing going on and to a 2-year-old, that’s the end of the world,” White told TODAY Parents. “The dividers are foam core, just strong enough to keep the kids separated. The kids aren’t strong enough to break it from a seated position yet.”

Ohio Dad Invents Genius Structure To Keep His Triplets From Fighting In The Car is an article from: LifeDaily

Up until recently, you can go into your local Costco and purchase a ‘Tiffany’ ring for a fraction of the price. 

However, it was discovered that these rings advertised as “Tiffany,” were actually fake, knock-off diamonds. The real Tiffany & Co. would never discount a diamond, and many buyers at Costco were tricked into believing they were getting the real thing. It wasn’t until a customer contacted Tiffany’s regarding their purchase that it all became clear. 

“In this particular case there is enormous room for confusion among consumers because Costco does sell a lot of big brands at deep discounts,” a spokesperson from ABC News said. Costco has since removed all Tiffany labels, but Tiffany is suing for additional monetary damages, and it is uncertain whether customers will sue as well. 

To date, Costco Wholesale Corporation should pay Tiffany & Co. $5.5 million for selling fake rings. The case began on September 20 to determine the amount of damages Costco is liable for, and U.S. District Judge Laura Taylor Swain says that Costco had “willfully infringed Tiffany’s trademark by selling rings bearing the luxury retailer’s name.”

Tiffany is also entitled to punitive damages that are not included in the $5.5 million figure, and it “represents the amount of profit Costco made from the sale of the rings that would fairly compensate Tiffany,” according to Reuters. 

Judge Swain found that Costco created confusion for consumers by using the word “Tiffany” on signs in display cases, and the store’s jewelry buyers even asked vendors to copy Tiffany designs.

Adding a dog to your family can be incredibly expensive, especially if you choose a popular or rare breed. So when one Arizona young man saw a sign for a free husky mix pup, he jumped at the chance.

Quickly after bringing the pup, who he named Neo, home, however, the college student realized Neo had some behavior issues. The puppy was extremely anxious, was extremely difficult to house train, and only wanted his owner’s companionship.

The young man took care of Neo the best he could, but the pup was often left on his own in the fenced-in backyard while he was in class or at work. “According to his owner, Neo would dig out or jump the fence to play with the neighbors’ dogs,” Wolf Connection’s Cate Salansky said. “He built a higher fence to help contain him, but Neo chewed through it and continued to escape.”

At first, the neighbors were happy to let Neo play with their dogs, but quickly noticed Neo wasn’t a normal dog when he refused to eat normal dog foods like treats and wouldn’t interact with them or even make eye contact with them. And when Neo kept hopping the fence, the neighbors had enough and brought Neo to the Humane Society of Southern Arizona so that they could help Neo’s owner find a solution.

When Maureen O’Nell, the former CEO of the Humane Society, took one look at Neo, she knew immediately by his physical features and behavior that he was a high content wolf dog. Yet owning a wolf dog in Arizona is illegal if you’re not a Native American or have a permit, and contacted Neo’s owner and helped him find a good home with Wolf Connection, a wolf dog rescue center and sanctuary in California.

And on Neo’s first night at the sanctuary, the staff tried to keep him isolated until a vet cleared his health, but he quickly escaped and made himself at home with the pack by joining in on the nightly howl. “He didn’t wait to see where he fit in with the pack,” O’Nell said. “He knew he belonged.”

Candles are supposed to help people relax and wind down after a long day, but for one unlucky Australian man, a popular Kmart candle has literally left him scarred for life.

Dad Chris Page had just walked in the door of his home when he heard a loud explosion and what sounded like shattering glass. He immediately ran into the room, and found his wife’s $6 Kmart candle, melted wax, and the glass container strewn across the room.

Even after the explosion, the candle was still burning, and the flame became uncontrollable. “While trying to avoid burning the house down I tried to blow the candle out but to no avail and had no option but to pick it and run to remove it from danger,” said Page, who was then rushed to the hospital with second-degree burns.

Page was forced to miss a week of work without pay and will have permanent scars on his hands from the burns. Yet after filing a claim with Kmart, the company blamed him for not following the warning label that said not to burn the candle past one centimeter and not to handle it while lit even though the candle had far more than a centimeter of wax left and Page only held the burning candle so his house wouldn’t burn down.

Now Page and other unhappy customers are sharing their stories about the dangerous candle to warn others. “I have children and pets and live in a rental property that could well have caught fire if I had not taken action,” he said. “The product is clearly defective as so many of them have exploded and I don’t want this to happen to another family. I can’t believe they are still on shelves.”

Children don’t always understand how damaging bullying is and will never stop if their parents, teachers, or coaches don’t teach them that it’s unacceptable.

After Todd Kennedy, coach of the Durham Middlefield Football team, learned that one of his players had bullied another student at school, he decided to have a talk with the entire team to show them that bullying would not be tolerated on the team. And when he found out it happened again, he decided to address the bully in front of the team. The boy claimed he didn’t do anything, but Kennedy had him run a few laps around the field, and commended the boy for not complaining after he finished.

But when the team’s board members found out about the punishment, they suspended him immediately, and then fired him the following Monday after the board unanimously voted he was unfit to coach the team. “[One of the board members] said why did you feel that you were qualified to handle this bullying incident? I’m like because I’m a father. You start questioning yourself, absolutely,” said Kennedy, whose two sons no longer play on the team.

Aside from Kennedy’s boys, other parents like Shannon Riso decided to take their kids off the team for wrongly firing a coach who did the right thing. “Bullying is okay – that’s the message I got,” Riso said. “That’s why my son is not going to play for them. I want him to be around better role models than that.”
