Rescuers Use Toy Car To Save Cat And Kittens Stuck In Pipe

Rescuing animals from deadly or perilous situations is never easy. However, one group of rescuers from California had to get extremely creative when trying to save a cat and her kittens trapped deep inside a narrow pipe.

Last month, a rescue team from Hope for Paws animal rescue were notified about a cat and her kittens trapped in the middle of a 60-foot long drain pipe. Because the pipe was so narrow and long, there was no way to reach inside and pull them out, so the team had to think of an unusual solution.

Loreta Frankonyte, Lisa Arturo, JoAnn Wiltz and Kyle Schwab got a remote control toy car, attached a camera and a flashlight on top, and sent it into the pipe to get a better look at the family. Once the team found the mother cat and her four babies, the team constructed a pole and taped a blanket to the end that would push the cats out.

Once they were able to capture the mother, the team then guided the pole through the pipe and slowly pushed the kittens to the end of the pipe. “The debris enveloped the babies,” says a rescuer in the video. “protecting them from harm.”

Amazingly, the makeshift rescue tools worked, and the team brought the cat, named Nutella, and her babies, who were named Snickers, Toffee, Bonbon and Nougat to recuperate and get any necessary treatment at Room 8 Memorial Cat Foundation.

Man Risks His Life To Save Dog Who Fell Into 80-Foot Well

When villagers from a Northern India village discovered an exhausted dog crying as she tried to stay afloat at the bottom of a deep well, they knew they had to act fast if they were going to save her before she drowned.

The villagers immediately called a local animal rescue center, Tree of Life for Animals (TOLFA), and explained how dire the situation was. “Someone called our rescue helpline reporting a dog was drowning in a well,” said Jemma Sadler, a spokesperson for TOLFA.

Photo by Facebook/Tolfa India & UK

“We quickly asked which our staff who could swim? Not everyone in Rajasthan can swim as we’re in a desert,” Sadler explained. “Thankfully one staff member Nandu could swim so he quickly went to the dog’s rescue.” So when Nandu and other rescuers got to the well, they quickly made a makeshift harness with rope and a tire, and then carefully lowered the brave young man down to the bottom of the 80-foot well.

“When we come across dogs in these situations we never know how the dog is going to react, it’s a difficult situation. But thankfully this dog was a friendly sweetheart,” Sadler said.

After Nandu managed to pull the dog out of the water and the two were hoisted up to safety, the sweet dog was taken to get treatment and recuperate at TOLFA.

“I was scared at first, but actually, she was more scared than me. So I had to help her. There are hundreds of uncovered wells in the area. They’re so very dangerous, not only for animals but for humans too,” Nandu said.

Carpenter Saves 4-Week-Old Otter Seconds Before Drowning

Baby otters depend on their mothers to survive for at least six months, so when one newborn otter got separated from his mother just four weeks after being born, he quickly found himself fighting for his life.

The newborn otter pup ended up in a canal in Phoenix, Arizona, but since he hadn’t mastered swimming just yet, he struggled to keep his tiny head above water. Luckily, however, a guardian angel was nearby and spotted the drowning baby before it was too late.

“My operator noticed something floating in the canal and he turned and hollered, ‘hey, check that out. What is that,'” said Craig Boggs, a carpenter with the Salt River Project. “He would go underwater and come back up and fight a little bit more. He was calling for his momma, we assumed, because being a baby. It would go back under water and fight and come back up. He was about to give up. He was pretty exhausted.”

After a couple of tries, Boggs and his co-workers managed to fish the otter out of the water seconds before he was going to drown. “Put him up on the bank and he was just about gone and he was running out of air,” said Boggs. “Just one of nature’s thing. You can’t let it go. I mean, if you can save it. It’s the right thing to do. I mean, didn’t want to let the little fella die on its own. It’s not right.”

The otter was sent immediately to the Arizona Game and Fish Wildlife Center where a vet examined him and determined he was dehydrated, hungry, anemic, and was badly infested with fleas and immediately started treating him so he could make a full recovery.

An Ohio teacher lost her job after a photo emerged her dragging a student down a hallway by the arm.

The photo was taken by an employee at Wilson School on Gibson Street and later turned over to school administrators. The teacher, who remains unnamed, is an employee or Alta Head Start and not a city school employee. The Alta Head Start Program in Ohio currently serves 845 children, ages three to five.

According to WFMJ, Joseph Shorokey, Chief Executive Officer of Alta Care Group which administers the Alta Head Start program in Mahoning County, issued a statement saying that the teacher mishandled the student her employment was immediately terminated.

“A sincere apology was issued to the parent of this student yesterday, and I want to repeat that apology to the community as well,” said Shorokey. “The behavior of that teacher was inexcusable and will never be tolerated.”

“We took this matter very seriously,” Shorokey continued. “We took action immediately. We apologized to the parents, as well as to the community.” The local Children Services Office and the Ohio Department of Education have been notified about the incident and more information is currently being gathered.

Last year a shocking video emerged of a teacher of a 5-year-old student getting padded by his school’s principal. The video was filmed by the student’s mother and she said, “They told me if he could not get a paddling he would have to be suspended and if he got suspended for even one day I WILL go to jail for truancy,” Perez wrote on Facebook. “I could not go to jail or my kids would have nothing.”

10-Year-Old Girl Fights Off A Nine-Foot Alligator

Alligator attacks almost never have a happy ending, which is why first responders were stunned to see that a small 10-year-old girl managed to escape an adult alligator’s jaws with just a few scrapes and bruises.

10-year-old Juliana Ossa was swimming this past weekend in just two feet of water in a lake in Orlando, Florida when a nine-foot alligator suddenly bit down on her leg and started dragging her under. “I tried hitting it on its forehead to let me go,” Juliana said. “That didn’t work, so I thought of a plan they taught in Gatorland. The guy was wrestling the alligator with its mouth taped, and in this situation, it was the other way around.”

“So I stuck my two fingers up its nose so it couldn’t breathe — it had to breathe from its mouth — and he opened it, so it let my leg out,” said Juliana, who is alive today because she was able to stay calm and remember what an alligator expert had told her to do in case of an attack. “I was scared at first, but I knew what to do.”

Miraculously, Juliana survived the attack with just a few cuts and puncture wounds on her leg and was back home this Monday. “She was a tough little girl,” said Kevin Brito, a paramedic that brought Juliana to the hospital. “She also commented that if something is going to attack her, she has to attack back.”

One outstanding firefighter is being hailed as a hero for not only risking his life and working around the clock to keep a massive Georgia wildfire under control but also for what he did when he discovered a fawn that had been left behind in the fire.

This past April, a wild fire started after lightning struck a wooded area near the border between Georgia and Florida, which quickly grew out of control and has been growing ever since. And while emergency crews have been working around the clock to evacuate the area and try to get the fire under control, it has spread over more than 120,000 acres in the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge.

Photo by Facebook/Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge

So far, about eight percent of the fire is under control, and to slow the burning and keep it from spreading further, firefighters have been performing tactical burnouts. And just before hundreds of fireman performed an intention burn in the Chesser Island area, one incredible fireman found an abandoned fawn, stopped everything he was doing, and got the animal to safety.

Photo by Facebook/Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge

“He (she?) was removed from the Chesser Island area just before a tactical burnout – so safe and sound!” Okefenokee Wildlife Refuge explained in a post to Facebook. And as if that wasn’t enough, the kind-hearted fireman was able to find the fawn’s mother and safely reunited them.

Rescuers Save 1,543-Pound Cow That Fell Into A Well

It’s not uncommon for stray animals to fall into an uncovered well and become trapped at the bottom, which is why villagers from an Indian village rushed over to an old well when they heard what sounded like an animal fighting for its life.

The villagers assumed there must be a dog or cat at the bottom of the well. However, when they looked over the edge, they discovered the animal making so much noise was a massive cow that had accidentally fallen 50 feet into the well and was struggling to stay afloat in the 20 feet of dirty water littered with garbage.

Photo by Tolfa India & UK

The villagers were determined to save the cow and worked throughout the night to make sure she kept her head above the water, however, she weighed about 1,543 pounds so lifting her out on their own would be impossible. By the next morning, the group realized the cow didn’t have much time left, so they called the rescue group Tree of Life for Animals (TOLFA) and explained the situation.

Photo by Tolfa India & UK

“As soon as the call came, our rescue team were on their way,” TOLFA explained. “Weighing in at over 700kg, it was going to take a miracle to get her out… but with our team’s experience and the villagers’ strength and determination, it seemed that miracle could happen.”

Photo by Tolfa India & UK

With nothing but a rope and determination, the rescuers slowly pulled the cow up and back up to safety on the solid ground. “Just when everyone was exhausted, every muscle hurt, every bone ached… it happened.”

Watch the entire video below to see the incredible way these heroes managed to rescue a cow that weighed more than 1,500 pounds.

Game Warden Rescues Baby Owl Stranded On Driftwood

Baby owls rely on their mothers for food and protection until they learn to fly and hunt on their own, so when weeks old baby owl got separated from its mother and was left stranded on a piece of driftwood, it was doomed to starve or drown.

Thankfully, however, a concerned citizen spotted the tiny babysitting alone on the floating log in the middle of Oologah Lake in Oklahoma and called Oklahoma Game Warden Joe Alexander for help. Alexander arrived at the scene shortly after and immediately got to work figuring out how to get out to the owl.

Photo by Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation – Game Wardens

“The water was too high for the Warden to wade out for retrieval,” Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation explained in a post to Facebook. Luckily, Nowata Fireman Donald Belden was nearby, and when he heard about the helpless animal, he happily volunteered to take Alexander out on his boat.

Belden maneuvered the boat close enough to the log and Alexander was able to rescue the tiny bird before it drowned or starved. Once back on shore, the game warden brought the baby to the Wild Hear Ranch, a local wildlife rescue, and rehabilitation center. “You saved him from a miserable death, and he is doing great in our care, has siblings now and will release this summer,” said Annette from the Wild Heart Ranch.

Blind Woman Spends Life Savings To Save Sick Guide Pony

For the past 14 years, one blind New York woman has spent nearly every waking moment with her beloved guide pony, which she not only relies on to get around but has become her beloved companion.

“She has been so much more than just a service animal.  She is so much more than just a means for letting me, as a blind person, travel smoothly and efficiently around my community. Her joy in her work and in her life always puts a smile on my face.”

“Her special little nicker when she hears me coming to her in the morning, the way she puts her soft nose up to my face in greeting, the way she lays her chin on my knee when she’s napping—in all these ways and so many more, she lets me know that I am her person. She is my lovable and loving companion and partner,” said 61-year-old Ann Edie.

So when the miniature pony named Panda got sick last year and was diagnosed with an intestinal blockage, Edie was ready to do anything to save her. She didn’t hesitate to spend more than $30,000, her entire life savings, so that Panda could get the treatment she needed to survive the surgery and the multiple complications that arose after. “The amount is unthinkable, but even more unthinkable would have been giving up and losing Panda,” said Alexandra Kurland, Edie’s friend, and Panda’s trainer.

“Throughout all the trials of the last eight months–the weeks of hospitalization, surgery, IV’s, X-rays, ultrasounds, biopsies, blood tests, treatments and medications, pain and discomfort, and the separations from her people—Panda has remained steadfastly cheerful, loving, eager to interact, adorable, and full of life and joy. There was never any doubt in my mind about giving her the care she needed to have the best chance of recovering her health,” Edie said.

To help out, Kurland set up a donation campaign on YouCaring to raise the rest of the funds needed to pay Panda’s continuing vet bills and help her make a full recovery. “Panda is on the road to recovery. But we need help in order to continue to give her the care that will enable her to regain her full health and once again fully function as my guide. We are very grateful for any help you can give us, and we would appreciate it if you would spread the word to your family and friends who might want to join in helping Panda,” Edie explained.

Students Buy Colorblind Teacher Special $500 Glasses

Being able to see colors is something a lot of people take for granted, but as students from one Pennsylvania high school listened to their history teacher talk about being colorblind, they realized how much he’s missed out on because of it.

“Earlier in the year, he would talk about how he is colorblind,” said student Andrew Bregman said about his teacher, Matt Alzamora. “One day in 7th period, he was talking about an experience he had with his daughter, where one day she was talking about how pretty the sunset was, and he said he just really wanted to be able to see a sunset,” said fellow student Maci Chambers.

The students searched online and found out about a company that makes special glasses that allow colorblind people to see color and assigned a person from each class to collect money. After raising $528, the students were finally able to order the glasses and surprised Alzamora with them during a staff meeting. “I had someone bring in over $100, someone over $50 – people brought in $20s, $10s, $5s so a lot of people pitched in more than what was necessary,” Bregman said.

“It was incredible. It was like vivid. I never realized how many colors there were… Like the balloons. I thought there was only a couple colors. And like now, you can see the difference,” said Alzamora, who had heard about the glasses before, but had never thought about purchasing them for himself. “I had heard about it online but they’re expensive and when you’re colorblind, your whole life, you can’t say you’re missing anything if you’ve never seen it.”

“I am just overwhelmed for him and that the students would do this for him,” said wife Patty Alzamora. “It’s a great community in Lower Providence, the kids are amazing. It’s a credit to the community that they would do something for me of all people,” said Alzamora.

School Hosts Special Graduation At Hospital For Terminal Mom

When one Montana mother found out she had stage four cancer, her first thought was that she might not make it to her daughter’s high school graduation.

When 55-year-old mom Carol Grant was diagnosed in January with stage four pancreatic cancer, she was scared yet the first words out of her mouth were “I won’t be able to see my daughter graduate.” So for the past few months, Grant has been holding on in order to make it to the graduation, which is scheduled to take place on May 20.

But recently Grant’s condition started to deteriorate rapidly and was placed into hospice care just a few weeks ago. “She is ready to go anytime,” Carol’s husband, Terry, said. The family was crushed that Grant wasn’t going to see 17-year-old Kelsey graduate especially since she’s the class valedictorian.

However, local residents Michelle Wolff and Mary Elizabeth Grue reached out to the school and organized a special early ceremony at the Prairie Community Hospital so Grant wouldn’t miss the special moment. “They did an actual graduation,” Terry said. “They had guest speakers. They went through the speeches and everything. They did it in the dining hall of the hospital just like it would be at the regular graduation.”

“Kelsey held together pretty well. When she was giving her mom a hug with the rose it was very emotional. She gave a speech, but she started crying,” Wolff said. “A lot of people were extremely emotional. My wife wasn’t all there because she’s on a lot of medication, but she clapped,” Terry said.

Cop Comforts Boy With Special Needs During Meltdown

For one nine-year-old little boy with special needs, change of any kind is terrifying. So when he was assigned to a new therapist, he understandably had a huge meltdown.

“He does not do well with change,” mom Jessica Baler said about her son Kyson, who doesn’t talk and has undiagnosed special needs despite undergoing endless testing to pinpoint a specific diagnosis. “He struggles with any kind of transition.” So shortly after Kyson was dropped off at Journey’s, a Developmental Disability Agency, and met his new case worker he bolted out the front door and had a meltdown in the parking lot.

Rigby Police Officer Chris Scott had been across the street in his cruiser, and pulled over when he witnessed the meltdown. “He looked like he kind of had a bad day, so I pulled over and I sat down,” Scott said. “I just sat there for a few minutes and let him do his thing. He pointed at my patch and I happened to have a challenge coin on me that had the patch on the opposite side and then badge on the other side. I gave him that and said are you ready to go back inside? He had a smile on his face and he was good to go.”

Kyson’s new case worker snapped a quick photo of the touching moment and sent it to Kyson’s mother, who then posted it online to thank Scott. “It’s priceless,” Jessica said. “That picture says a thousand words. He took the time to make sure that he was okay, to comfort him. It just shows the compassion he truly had instead of just of moving on past it.”

The photo has since gone viral and Scott has been praised for going above and beyond to help a special needs child, but he doesn’t think he did anything special. “He’s absolutely in shock that the photo has gone as far as it has,” Jessica said. “It touched his heart. It meant a lot to him that he was able to help. He was glad that he could represent that police officers are good guys.”

Bus Driver Rescues Lost 5-Year-Old Wandering The Streets

While driving on her normal bus route, one Milwaukee bus driver spotted a young girl walking alone on the sidewalk and knew she had to stop and see if she needed help.

Aside from the fact that the girl was alone, driver Tiffani Lee knew something wasn’t right since she was wearing mismatched shoes and light clothes that weren’t warm enough for the chilly weather. “I’m a parent, so I knew no parent would let their child be outside in that kind of weather with a flip-flop and a tennis shoe, no way, “ Lee said.

Despite being in the middle of her route, Lee pulled over and asked the 5-year-old where she was going. It was obvious the girl was lost, so she immediately called the police and sat waiting with the girl in the warmth of the bus. West Allis Police Officer Darrin Kmichik arrived shortly after, and brought her safely home to her terrified family.

“I promised to get her some shoes that weekend, and I think she had it on her mind. She always says, ‘Wait for you by the bus stop.'” said the girl’s aunt, Cheryl Wentland. “That tore me up… so bad.”

When one Ohio couple decided to open their home to a foster child, they made a promise to each other that they wouldn’t turn their backs on the child or children they were assigned.

Even though Ohio couple Christopher and Christina Sanders had five of their own children, they stuck to their promise when they were assigned six siblings because they knew they’d likely be split apart and spend years being moved around to different foster homes.

“We have always loved children and believe all children deserve to be loved,” the couple explained. And this past week, the couple made their commitment to their foster kids legal when they officially adopted the six siblings. Our goal has been to do what we can with what we had, and what we have is a home and a lot of love.”

While it’s easy to see the family is all blood-related, they all love each other as if they were. “She’s the sweetest sister ever and I love her so much,” said Caitlin Sanders about her newly adopted sister Chloe. “We’re all the same in God’s eyes, so the color of anyone’s skin has never had a bearing on any of this,” Christopher Sanders said.

Rescue Dog Saves Mom And Nine Kids From House Fire

Getting eight young children and one three-month-old newborn to get to bed by yourself is a monumental accomplishment, which is why one Iowa mom was furious when their dog started barking wildly in the middle of the night.

On March 15 at about 1:30 a.m., mother-of-nine Angela Fullmer was understandably annoyed when her rescue dog, Capone, started barking and refused to stop. Capone is normally a quiet and obedient dog, so Fullmer thought something must be wrong to make him act that way, and got up to see what he was barking at in the kitchen.

As she walked in the room, she saw the plug for the microwave had burst into flames, and she quickly grabbed her kids, ran out of the house, and did a roll call before calling 911. “We always do a roll call every time we get in the van,” she said. “They’re used to it.”

“He loves his family,” said Fullmer, who found him wandering the highway alone before bringing him home and making him a part of the family. “He’s pretty special. I’m glad we found him on the highway. I believe it was supposed to happen.”

Puppy Smothered In Glue Undergoes Miracle Transformation

Earlier this year, cruel kids covered a terrified stray puppy named Pascal in glue, dragged him through mud, and left him to die at an industrial estate in Istanbul, Turkey.

Pascal attempted to rub off the glue, but it set quickly and acted like cement on his weak body. “Pascal was in a miserable state when I first saw him inside that box. He was not moving, he had frozen, and he was very scared and traumatized,” said Nur Rima Yola, founder of He’Art of Rescue.

Most would have thought Pascal was a lost cause, but the He’Art of Rescue team refused to give up and carefully shaved all the glue-coated fur. “After the glue had been removed, he stood in shock for one day. He even turned his back to hide when he saw people,” Nur Rima Yola said.

But after months of rehab, care, and being adopted by a loving forever family, Pascal has completely transformed physically and mentally after experiencing such torment and pain. “‘HAPPY TIMES AFTER EVERYTHING HE WENT THROUGH FINALLY !!! PASCAL is spending the weekend with his family in Spain by the beach! Breathtaking view!” the rescue posted in an update.

Twin Sisters Give Birth To Baby Boys On The Exact Same Day

Twins Kim Abraham and Danielle Grant grew up doing everything together, and fraternal sisters recently gave birth to their children on the same day!

According to InsideEdition.com, Abraham, and Grant, 32 said that getting pregnant at the same time was not something they planned, but they couldn’t be happier with the outcome. “We always wanted it to happen the same time, but the thought of it actually happening is crazy, so we’re excited,” Grant told InsideEdition.com. “We found out the same day.”

Credit: Inside Edition/YouTube

Abraham took a pregnancy test and called her sister who decided to take one too and both came out positive. The sisters spent their pregnancies doing everything together, from going to doctors’ appointments and even having their ultrasounds one after the other.

The twins even had a joint gender reveal party, where they found out to no one’s surprise that they were both having boys! Even though they were given the same due date- April 22, the sisters really didn’t think they would actually give birth on the same day.

“We thought it would be a couple days off. It was definitely unbelievable. It was awesome. The chance of actually going on your due date is not good, so we’re like, ‘They’re never going to be born the same day. Just a couple days. It’s still really cool,'” Grant said.

Credit: Inside Edition/YouTube

When April 22 came and went, both sisters still haven’t given birth and they wound up being induced on the same day- April 28. “It was the quickest date available, so we were ready to get them out… because it would be awesome for them to have the same birthday,” Grant said. “We love having the same birthday.”

The sisters delivered their babies in adjacent hospital rooms, Grant said, “Yes, we were texting each other and FaceTiming each other to see what was going on and how she was doing and how I was doing. My mom was there — back and forth — in-between the rooms and then our husbands were in-between the rooms just to see what was going on.”

Grant gave birth to baby Roman at 11:42 am and a few hours later, Abraham gave birth to baby Aaron at 3:20 p.m. “We’re excited for the future,” Abraham said. We want to wish these new moms the best of luck!

While parents are typically the ones that are supposed to give their children gifts on their birthday, one California boy couldn’t help but surprise his dad with a special gift on his 10th birthday.

About two months ago, Porsche Williamson’s then 9-year-old son Kalani Watson asked if he could have her husband’s last name as well since he has been a father to him since he was about three-years-old. So the two started the adoption process and gathered the paperwork needed to make it official.

Kalani planned to ask his stepdad, Brandon Williamson, if he would adopt him on Father’s Day, but he couldn’t wait and decided to ask during his tenth birthday party. “I know today is supposed to be all about me, but today is really about us,” Kalani said. “I’m so glad now that I’ve learned so much from you. I asked mom, ‘What’s the difference between a stepdad and a real dad?’ Cuz I don’t get it sometimes…you have been here for everything.”

“So let’s stop playing and make it official. Brandon Craig Williamson, will you do me the biggest favor in the world? Will you adopt me?” Kalani asked. Williamson broke down in tears as he listened and opened the present and found adoption papers inside.

“We all just cried,” Porsche said. “I knew this was going to break [Brandon] down. Like the time my son asked if he could call him dad he was four. He has so much love for Brandon and he was so nervous once the day was here. He kept going over it the day before.”

Cheeky Toddler Locks Himself In Car And Laughs As Firefighters Rescue Him

What could have been a frightening situation for a little boy turned into smiles when a 14-month-old locked himself in his mother’s car.

Brandon Emery’s mom, Kirsty Green tells Today.com that she had to put her son in the backseat of the car while she unloaded groceries into the trunk at a supermarket near their home in Bude, England. After accidentally closing the trunk with her car keys inside, she watched as Brandon tried to push the power locks, which ultimately trapped himself in the car.

A shopper in the parking lot saw what was happening and called the non-emergency number for the police. Luckily, it was not a hot day, so Brandon was not in any imminent danger. Firefighters from Bude Community Fire Station arrived on the scene to Brandon giggling in the passenger’s seat.

He somehow managed to climb up there and grabbed the steering wheel with a grin like he was about to go for a drive. It was absolutely hilarious! Kirsty posted a photo of Brandon on Facebook saying, “Thank you to the amazing guys who rescued my cheeky monkey after locking himself in the car today at Bude Lidl! He was clearly traumatised by the whole ordeal.”

“[The firefighters] were amazing, and I think just as much as they were keeping Brandon entertained, he was equally making them laugh,” Green told SWNS.

To get Brandon out, the firefighters tried to pop the lock of the door using a plastic tool with a hook but were unsuccessful. The moment they saw Brandon put a coin in his mouth, they broke the rear driver’s window and opened the car to rescue him and prevent a choking situation.

“It was just brilliant how unfazed he was by the whole thing, really,” firefighter Matthew Wonnacott told SWNS. “He seemed very entertained by the fact that there was a whole group of strangers staring into his mum’s car.”

Cops Give Boy Toy Patrol Car After He Bought Them Lunch

One 5-year-old New Jersey boy has always admired the police for helping the community and has dreamed of the day he would be old enough to become an officer himself.

“From a very young age, [he] expressed his desire to one day be a police officer,” William Evertz Jr.’s grandmother Christine Haines said. But the little boy realized he didn’t have to wait until he was a cop to help people, and decided to do a few random acts of kindness including donating goods to the Safe Havens women’s shelter, giving $25 of his allowance to a less fortunate family, and even saving up his allowance for months to buy the police department lunch to thank them for everything they do.

“We greatly appreciated that,” Lieutenant Christ Dubler said. “We encourage him to give to the less fortunate and always share with others who are less fortunate,” Haines said about her grandson, who’s known as ‘Bubba’. “I’m so proud to be his grandmother.”

To repay Bubba for his kindness, the department bought a toy car from the store and had it customized with replica decals like the ones on their own patrol cars. “One of the things he wanted was a police car,” Lieutenant Dubler said. “We figured since he used his money for his acts of kindness throughout the area, we would in turn buy the police car for him.”
