Warning: The following article contains graphic content that may be upsetting to some viewers.

The job of a fire-breather is a dangerous one: taking fuel into the mouth and spitting it out over a flame to produce a jet a fire.

When one fire-breather performing at a festival in the city of Kemerovo in southwestern Russia’s Kemerovo Oblast region, just a couple of minutes into his act, things went horribly wrong. He was the third fire-breather to set himself on fire, according to the New York Post, and he suffered the most serious injuries.

The video of the man was filmed by eyewitnesses with smartphones and it shows the man creating plumes of fire while surrounded by a crowd of spectators. Suddenly his face catches fire and he falls to his knees and tries to extinguish the flames. But as fuel spills from his mouth, the blaze gets fiercer as spectators scream in horror,” wrote the New York Post

People from the crowd run to the man to try and put out the flames with items of clothing while a woman throws a bottle of water over the man.

The fire-breather was immediately rushed by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment, while earlier that day another fire-breather set his face on fire while a third fire-breather’s clothing went up in flames.

Both were able to put out the fires before any serious damage was caused, but this incident showed how dangerous fire breathing really is.

When Deputy Cameron Coward of the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office spotted a small alligator in a parking lot, he took matters into his own hands.

Commander Chuck Mulligan told Inside Edition, “He was walking through a parking lot and saw the four-foot alligator. The alligator had gotten out on the Fourth of July and was near roadways, so the deputies had a concern for the gator.”

Credit: St. Johns County Sheriffs Office

Usually, officers will call the local wildlife commission for large alligators, but Coward was able to handle the alligator himself, literally with his own two hands. “He threw a bag over its head. It’s a normal issue to see alligators. He just picked it up and put it back retention pond so it didn’t get hit by a car,” Mulligan told Inside Edition. “Had it been a 10-12 foot one, they would have handled it differently.”

Apparently, when your last name is Coward, you have to make up for it somehow!

Puppy Stolen From Boy’s Arms Returned After Rescuer Sees Dog For Sale On Facebook

A puppy was stolen from a child’s arms in his family’s own front yard last week in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The boy’s mother, Tiffany Townsend tells Fox 17 that her children were playing on their front lawn with their puppy Nyla, a Pekingese poodle mix, when a woman pulled up to their home and grabbed the puppy.

Nyla was an emotional support animal for her son, and also a loving pet for her other four children.

To say her kids were devastated by the ordeal would be an understatement and Townsend shared her story on Facebook saying, “Someone stole my puppy out of my yard while my children were playing with her. Please help me find her! Her name is Nyla. My 5 kids are devastated. Please share.”

The founder of Lost Paws, LLC, Lyndsey Sturgeon and her marketing partner Bianca LaFountain saw Townsend’s post and got involved.

LaFountain saw another woman’s post on a Facebook garage sale site trying to sell the puppy and took action arranging a $100 sale the next day to purchase the puppy.

Luckily, the “bad thief” agreed and Sturgeon and LaFoundation were able to get Nyla back to her family. “Being able to get that dog back to them, it was just amazing,” said Sturgeon. “That little boy was very happy to have his dog back. His mom said he hadn’t slept, he was crying he blamed himself, he was just having a really, really hard time,” she added.

Although Sturgeon thought they had little chance in finding Nyla once she was stolen, that never stopped them.  “My takeaway was that doesn’t mean it’s not going to happen. Even though it’s a long shot, you need to pursue it, you need to look on every single possible garage sale site, Craigslist, any kind of a sale site like that,” said Sturgeon.

She also recommends to microchip your pet, in order to prove your ownership.

After years of hard work and dedication, one University of Texas at Austin student was thrilled to finally be able to walk across the stage at his graduation and get his diploma while his family cheered him on.

But that special moment almost didn’t happen for UT graduate Xavier Baldwin, when his car broke down on the way to the ceremony: “I was driving and I was taking the exit, the car broke down and it wouldn’t start again,” Baldwin said. “When my car broke down, I thought I would be ultra late to the graduation ceremony. It was the most inconvenient thing because it had never broken down before then.”

“We didn’t call the police. They ended up coming because they noticed the disturbance,” Baldwin explained. Baldwin and his family told Officer Mike Cowden and Ashley Uribe from the Austin Police Department that he was going to walk the rest of the way to the graduation while his mom, Betty Johnson, waited for the tow truck. But Officer Cowden had another plan.

“Officer Cowden wanted us all to be at the graduation so he told us he would stay with the car while Uribe drove my family to the ceremony,” Baldwin said. “She dropped us off and then we walked to the gym. I was able to make it with minutes to spare. I was the last student to arrive.”

“This experience opened my eyes more to what the police really do. Meeting Cowden and Uribe was a great pleasure and honor, and I’ll remember them for a lifetime for helping me on one of the most important days of my life,” said Baldwin, who recently presented Uribe and Cowden with a plaque to thank them for their help. “Officer Uribe and I were there working, but we have a couple thousand cops who would have done the exact thing,” said Cowden. “We were just fortunate to be able to have helped them and I think anyone would have done the same thing.”

11-Year-Old Invents Genius Device To Stop Children From Dying In Hot Cars

He may only be 11-years-old, but Bishop Curry is already working on a solution to help end the tragic deaths of children in hot cars.

Last year, the Texas boy learned of a 6-month-old baby in his neighborhood who died after being left in a hot carCurry became very distraught by the news and couldn’t understand why no one was doing anything to help prevent these deaths.

Credit: NBC

Just hours after learning of the infant’s death, Bishop created a prototype of a device he believes could have saved the child’s life. “It made him sad, and at that point, the wheels started turning in his mind,” Bishop’s father, Bishop Curry IV, told CBS News.

“He came up with a way to prevent it from happening.” Bishop called his invention, “Oasis,” and his dad recalled, “When he showed me that sketch I was so proud of him for thinking of a solution,” Curry said. “We always just complain about things and rarely offer solutions.”

Credit: NBC

Bishop designed a fan that would automatically turn on when it detects the inside of a car has reached a certain temperature. “The device detects if vehicle comes to stop, using GPS technology,” Curry explained.

“It then detects if a child is in that car seat and if the car is heating up. If all of those things are taking place it blows cold air on the child through an internal cooling system.”

Credit: NBC

At the moment, Bishop only has a 3-D clay model of the device, but his father began a GoFundMe campaign for the Oasis in January, which has already raised over $45,000, exceeding its goal of $20,000.

Bishop, who will begin sixth grade in the fall, told Fox News last week that in addition to his parents, his classmates and friends are fully behind his project. “They want to work for me,” he said. When Bishop grows up, he said he wants to center his career around inventions, including a time machine.

If you want to help support this life-saving device, please donate to Bishop’s GoFund Me and SHARE this story with your friends and family on Facebook!

This month, China held a beauty pageant for goldfish where more than 10,000 fish from around the world competed in the International Goldfish Championships held in Fuzhou, the capital city of east China’s Fujian Province.

Breeders battled it out for a range of the different titles, but the World Goldfish Queen crown was the most coveted.

Credit: Inside Edition

The fish lined up in rows on tables in giant bowls and were judged across 12 categories, including the longest and heaviest goldfish. They were divided into 26 groups based on their breed, and each category awards its most beautiful fish either gold, silver or bronze awards.

Ye Qichang, a member of the judging panel told metro.co.uk, “We judge goldfish mainly by five criteria: breed, body shape, swimming gesture, colour, which is very important, and overall impression.”A giant goldfish (3lb 5oz) caught Qichang’s eye and he said, “I have raised goldfish for some 40 or 50 years, and it is the first time I’ve seen such a big creature.”

Apparently, goldfish breeding is big business in China and it’s said to be worth millions to the economy. Farm owner Wang Aimin said, “In Fuzhou, we export goldfish worth $30million every year and the domestic market has reached over 100million yen.”

Since every fish in the pageant has been carefully bred, there are no real losers, but the winners are later sold to buyers around the world for around $1,500 each. The very first goldfish pageant was held in 2012.

When a 2-year-old lad was playing near his home in East China, he slipped and tumbled into a dangerously narrow well.

When the child fell into the well in Jining City, East China, his quick-thinking grandfather who was nearby, grabbed a long bamboo pole to help him. The man attached a hook to the end of the pole and reached into the well in order to hook it on to the boy’s clothing.

Credit: AsiaWire

Thankfully, his grandfather was able to keep him from slipping further down, but he was unable to pull him back to the surface and had to wait for the fire department to arrive for additional help.

AsiaWire captured the dramatic rescue on camera, and Mirror.co.uk covered the story, where the firemen dug around the well, destroying the concrete outer wall little by little as they reached further into the ground to try and grab the child.

Rescue personnel worked as quickly as possible in the large pit as the grandfather held the pole, and the child clung to it for dear life.

Eventually, the child was pulled out of the narrow well and luckily suffered no serious injuries from the fall. He was however treated for abrasions suffered during the fall and was given oxygen by the medical crew on hand.

When Indiana native Will Seaton was trying to figure out how to propose to his girlfriend, he had to make sure that not only she would like it, but also her teenage sister.

“From day one … when Hannah was born, my parents explained to me that she was extra special and that I should look out and protect her more than a typical sibling throughout her life,” 23-year-old Ashley Schaus said about her 16-year-old sister, Hannah, who has down syndrome and diabetes. “Not only are we sisters but we are best friends. We’ve done everything together. I told Will that Hannah and I were a package deal. You had to accept her, love her, and include her in everything because she and I would be attached at the hip forever.”

For the past seven years, Will has gone above and beyond to make sure Hannah is always included in their plans. So when it came time to propose, he made sure to include her in the special moment as well. “I wanted to include Hannah in the proposal in case she may not get to experience that,” Will said. “Hannah is a big part of our relationship and I already consider her a sister.”

After some planning, Will decided it would be perfect to propose to Ashley and Hannah during an annual family photo shoot. “He got down one knee, using my grandmother’s ring, and asked Hannah if she’d be his best friend forever. I didn’t even think about myself, I was just so happy to have her experience such a sweet moment,” Ashley said. “After she said yes, I looked over at Will and he immediately gave me a wink. Then, he turned to me, got down on one knee again, and asked me for my hand in marriage.”

“I cried. Hannah cried. We all cried. And of course we both said yes. It was the most amazing moment of my life.”

The heartbreaking note read: “Hi! I’m Chewy! My owner was in an abusive relationship and couldn’t afford me to get on the flight. She didn’t want to leave me with all her heart but she has NO other option. My ex-boyfriend kicked my dog when we were fighting and he has a big knot on his head. He probably needs a vet. I love Chewy sooo much — please love and take care of him.”

Thankfully, Chewy wasn’t alone for long and a good samaritan brought him to Connor and Millie’s Dog RescuePresident and founder Linda Gilliam took Chewy into her care and told The Dodo, “My heart dropped to my knees. I didn’t hesitate to accept him and instructed my foster to immediately get him to an ER.”

Deer Trapped Between Two Trees Cries When Hunters Come To The Rescue

A deer was found wedged between two trees and was crying hysterically for help as a bunch of hunters approached it.

The hunters, who were out on a trip in Oregon, heard the deer’s cries and when they arrived on the scene, they realized the deer was stuck and desperate to get out. The men did the best they could to pry the animal loose, but after several attempts and no luck, one of the men used a hatchet and began to chop down one of the trees that was holding the animal in place.

Credit: ViralHog

It was clear to all that the deer was uncomfortable during the ordeal as it cried in agony, and at one point it even started kicking and screaming. The video was posted online by ViralHog, and it shows two of the hunters pulling on the tree that was later chopped down by the hatchet in order to free the deer.

ViralHog wrote on their YouTube channel: “On a drive for a hunting trip, a family in the rig ahead of us stopped abruptly in the road. The dad’s hand was out the window pointing up the hill, just off the road. Everyone but me saw the big buck run off right as we stopped. Dad got out he truck and started walking up the hill, and we bailed out and followed. There was a doe stuck in between two trees. The deer were in the rut this time of year, and we assumed the big buck was pushing her around and got her stuck.”

After the painful rescue, the deer ran free into the woods, although it probably suffered minor injuries.

80 People Form Human Chain To Rescue Drowning Family In Panama City

It was an incredible display of humanity as dozens of complete strangers formed a human chain on a Panama City Beach to rescue nine swimmers who were drowning.

Roberta Ursrey and her husband, mother, sons, and nephews were enjoying the sun on the beach when she turned around to look for her sons and they were nowhere to be found. Ursrey then heard screams and realized her children were stuck in the water, while people yelled at her not to go out there in the dangerous waters.

Credit: WJHG-TV

There was no way Ursrey was going to let her children drown, but once she and her family swam out to get the kids, the rip current pulled them in as well. At that point, nine family members, including Ursrey and her mother were stuck in about 15 feet of water. “I honestly thought I was going to lose my family that day,” Ursrey said. “It was like, ‘Oh God, this is how I’m going.’ ”

A beachgoer named Jessica Simmons saw what was going on and being that she isn’t the type of person to stand by and watch someone in distress, she grabbed a boogie board and swam towards the family. Her husband and a few other men followed her, and they created the human chain. As Simmons paddled, the human chain grew, totaling about 80 people and stretching over 100 yards out to the distressed swimmers. Some of them couldn’t swim, others stood up in the water up to their necks, but all in all, every single person was determined to save this family.

Credit: WJHG-TV

One by one, starting with the children, Simmons, her husband, and a few other rescuers pulled the family to shore. “It was the most remarkable thing to see,” Simmons said. “These people who don’t even know each other and they trust each other that much to get them to safety.” Roselind Beckton, who was on the beach that day, took photos while dozens of people created the human chain near the county pier.

Ursrey’s mother is still in the hospital, and her nephew suffered a broken hand, but otherwise, everyone is recuperating after the ordeal. “I am so grateful,” Ursrey told nwfdailynews.com. “These people were God’s angels that were in the right place at the right time. I owe my life and my family’s life to them. Without them, we wouldn’t be here.”

For the past eight months, one Tennessee man with kidney disease has been on dialysis while waiting for doctors to find him a matching kidney donor.

To distract them from all the stressful and uncertain time spent in the hospital, Steve Winfree and his wife Heather, who are also foster parents, started collecting packs of baseball cards. “There were a lot of times where he would be in the hospital and I would grab a pack and we would open them,” Heather said. “The low-key fun gets our minds off of the everyday stresses.”

When Heather got tested to see if she could donate her kidney and found out that she was a perfect match, she decided to share the exciting news by hiding a specially-made card with a note inside a pack of baseball cards. As Steve started sorting through the pack, he froze the second he saw a card with his photo on it. On the back, Heather wrote a special message explaining that she was his perfect match and he could have a new kidney by the end of the month.

When the group first saw the suitcase bobbing up and down in the water, they thought it was just trash. Thankfully, they decided to pluck the bag out anyway, just to make sure nothing was inside. Yet when they unzipped the suitcase, they discovered an injured 6-month-old puppy that was miraculously still alive.

The boaters rushed to the puppy, who has been named Juno, to Stockton Animal Services for treatment. “On her left front leg she’s got a compound fracture the bones exposed, the tendons are exposed, she’s got some severe abrasions from her neck down one side of her body, she also has a pelvic fracture,” foster volunteer Maria Minney said.

Because Juno required so much care, the NorCal Bully Breed Rescue took her in and they’re confident that she’ll recover with treatment and lots of patience. “She’s had a couple bad nights, but she’s been doing better. And after the first couple days where she was completely immobile, beginning on Monday she started standing up like Bambi,” Minney said.

“She was either intentionally injured or accidentally injured and intentionally thrown into the river and zipped into a suitcase. Call the Stockton Animal Control and explain yourself. Otherwise, we can only assume it was done out of evil,” Minney said in a message to whoever left Juno to drown in a suitcase.

Warning: The following article contains graphic content that may be upsetting to some viewers.

We really don’t know how they do it, but time and time again, the rescue organization, Animal Aid Unlimited, India, changes the lives of sick animals left to die.

In yet another incredible rescue video, Animal Aid Unlimited saved the life of a street dog in India who was so sick she couldn’t even stand. When rescuers found her, painful sores covered her entire body, and it was clear she had given up all hope.

The men tried to feed the dog, but the last thing she cared about was food when she was in such excruciating pain. Animal Aid lifted up the lifeless dog and took her to begin the process of nursing her back to health.

They wrote on their YouTube channel: “Her body was suffering, but her spirit was even more defeated.” First, rescuers gave her an anti-inflammatory to soothe the painful mange in her skin, and shortly after, she took her first few bites of food. “This may have been her first full meal in many days,” Animal Aid Unlimited said.

They then applied special lotion to the dog to soften her painful scabs, and also gave her IV fluids to treat her dehydration. “Now her exhausted soul needed to rest and let the healing begin,” rescuers wrote. After a few days, the dog who they named Helen, was ready for her first bath. At this point, all the scabs had come off and her skin was beginning to heal.

By 10 day, Helen’s will to live was getting stronger, after several months, Helen looked like a new dog. Animal Aid Unlimited said: “She is a very old girl, toothless and frail. At first. we thought we might lose her, but Helen’s spirit was only hidden, never gone…”

A 7-year-old from Missouri was bummed after no one in his class showed up at his birthday party on April 29, so kind-hearted neighbors did something about it.

Cole Hittler, who is a first grader, was very upset when not one student from his class at Harris Elementary in St. Charles showed up for his birthday party. “Coming closer to the party, I wasn’t seeing any RSVP’s from classmates,” Cole’s mom, Tracy Hittler, told InsideEdition.com. “We were hoping someone would come. It was really a bummer. It was just a sad day in general for him.”

Hittler believes his classmates didn’t show up since Cole was diagnosed with a Apraxia, a speech disorder when he was 4. He underwent skull surgery as an infant and Hittler said, “It’s hard for him to speak clearly and be understood by others, which impacts his ability to make friends.”

Once the community heard that no one showed up to Cole’s birthday, kind-hearted residents decided to do something special for him. Carla Gibson, a friend of Hittler’s from high school decided to throw a party for Cole. On Sunday, Cole and his family were picked up in a limousine with a police escort and headed to a local Dave and Buster’s, where more than 70 people were waiting, including Batman.

11 Puppies Rescued From Underground Cave Dug By Their Mother

Eleven puppies were rescued on Wednesday from an underground cave dug by their mother before the area’s heavy rainfall could put them in danger.

The Michigan Humane Society responded to a call from a neighbor who heard some puppies barking in a yard. When two rescue workers, Chris and Pam arrived at the yard, they scoped the scene and counted 11 puppies buried underground by their mother- likely to protect them from the bad weather.

Chris and Pam knew they had to work fast to rescue the puppies, so one-by-one, Chris began pulling puppies from the hole and handing them to his partner Pam. Pam then placed the pups into cages, starting with the first puppy who was already waiting for them at the entrance of the hole.

“I can’t believe how deep this thing is,” he said, after pulling out the third puppy. After Chris pulled out five puppies, he put out wet food to attract the dogs to the entrance, afraid if they dug much further the hole would cave in. As they were rescuing the other 5 puppies, Chris noticed he didn’t see the mother inside the cave.

“I wouldn’t want to be in a position like this with mom dog in the hole,” he said. “Because she dug it, I’m sure could move pretty good. Her first reaction might be to protect her puppies, which could cause me some injury.” Amidst crying puppies and a broken flashlight, Chris laid in the mud working tirelessly to rescue the other pups.

Nearly a half hour into the rescue, Chris finally pulls out the last puppy for a total of 11 dogs. “Oh boy, my washer is going to hate me,” Chris said. While the next step is catching mom so she can be reunited with her babies, in the meantime, the dogs will go to a shelter and receive vaccinations at the vet.
