When one Canadian woman found out she was expecting her first child, there was one family member in particular that she couldn’t wait to share the exciting news with.

“I am the first grandchild. So my Papa [grandfather] and I have a different relationship than my brother and sister,” said Bianca Rollo. “When I was younger we would always do things together like go on boat rides at the cottage, motorcycle rides, garage sale shopping and go out for ice cream. He also adores my husband Ryan [Rawn] and our little Yorkie Audrey.”

When it came time to share the pregnancy news with her family, Bianca knew she had to do something special to surprise her grandpa, Harry Rollo Sr. “I had the idea right away to make my Papa a t-shirt as I know how he loves his shirts and it would be something he would be so happy to wear,” she said.

The 84-year-old unwrapped his gift but once he held up the shirt and saw the surprise message, which read “Great Grandpa To Be… December 2017.,” he burst into tears immediately. “I knew he would be excited and emotional, but I honestly didn’t know what his exact reaction would be,” Bianca said. “I am so thrilled at how overjoyed he is about the news! I think this is the best news he and the family has had since we lost my Baba (grandmother) in 2008. We all miss her so much. It’s exciting to be able to bring new life into this family.”

Deaf Dog Found Alive After 9 Months In Mountains

During a family hunting trip in the Idaho mountains last September, a 14-year-old Chesapeake Bay retriever named Mo, who is deaf, wandered off when a door was left open.

“The day she went missing, the other guys took off and went hunting and I had to run to town … Mo was asleep on the couch and I came home and the grandson of one of our hunting partners had opened the door to play ball with Mo and when Mo realized I wasn’t there she took off to find me,” said Mo’s owner, Darwin Cameron.

Darwin and his wife, Cindy, spent the next three months looking for Mo in the area, but feared there was no way Mo could survive on her own as the temperature dropped so low. “If you know anything about Idaho winters, this one was not a normal one. Record snowfalls, highest snowfalls and coldest temperatures in over 100 years,” Darwin said.

The Camerons had given up all hope that they’d ever see Mo again, but nine months later, they were contacted by a dog rescuer who had found a malnourished dog in the area covered in ticks and fleas. The couple doubted it could be her, but were amazed when they went to see the dog and knew it was Mo. “She went to Cindy and pushed her head into Cindy’s belly. Cindy was looking her over and looking for all the signs that this is Mo — a stitch in her right eye, her fatty tumor,” said Mo’s rescuer, Cheri Glanker.

“Boy, we’re blessed to have her back,” said Darwin, who couldn’t believe Mo managed to stay alive for nine months on her own in such harsh conditions. “To think that she was smart enough and tenacious enough to figure out how to do that, that’s pretty good for a little town dog, we’re just amazed.”

Watch the entire video below to see how this couple reacted to being reunited with their long-lost dog.

Police Officer Buys Bike Tires For A Total Stranger

While driving down the street in his patrol car last month, one Florida cop heard a strange noise from beside him and was absolutely speechless when he turned his head and saw where it was coming from.

“I hear this noise on the side of me,” said Jacksonville police officer Terrance Hightower. When Hightower looked to the side of the road, he saw a man riding a bike with only one tire. The back tire had worn away so much that the metal rim was actually exposed to the ground. “I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.”

Hightower was so shocked he actually stopped the cyclist, Alfonso Stacey, but knew he had to do something to help when he heard why the 61-year-old was riding the bike. “I have to do what I need to do to get things done in life and this is my transportation,” Stacey told Hightower. “I’ll get another tire or rim sooner or later.”

After finishing his shift, Hightower headed to the store to buy two new tires, inner tubes, and a patch kit before driving the supplies over to Stacey’s home and helping him fix his bike. “He was just doing what he has to do, the right way. Sometimes you just have to help someone. He had no idea I was going back to his house later, after work, with two new tires for his bike,” Hightower said.

“He said little things like that mean a lot. That changed his perspective about people and believing in people,” Hightower said about Stacey, who was stunned that the officer was willing to spend his own money and time to help him. “You can do something small and minute and it means just as much as anything else.”

Dying Judge Officiates Daughter’s Same-Sex Wedding From Hospital Bed

A New Jersey judge was able to fulfill his daughter’s wish of officiating at her wedding right before his death.

According to InsideEdition, Casey Kapalko, 27, had seen her dad, Monmouth Superior Court Judge Paul Kapalko, officiate many weddings in her life, so naturally, she hoped he could officiate her own.

“I think it was one of the things he loved most about being a judge,” Casey told InsideEdition. “Two of the things were adoption day and weddings. He was a cheesy guy, but when it came time to perform weddings he took it very seriously because he knew how important the moment was for the couple.”

In 2011, Judge Kapalko was diagnosed with pancreatic carcinoids and doctors told him he had four to five years to live. When Casey got engaged to her partner, Stephanie Vazquez, in December  2016, her last wish was to have her father there to officiate her wedding.

“We were aiming for November 2017 wedding. We had sort of talked about that, but really soon after that, we thought November would be a stretch,” Casey said.

The couple originally wanted to get married in Casey’s mom’s backyard and have Casey’s mother and father walk her down the aisle. In April, however, Kapalko was admitted to the ICU and he was only allowed limited visitors due to contamination.

“Stephanie and I had already applied for the marriage license,” Casey told InsideEdition.com. “When he moved to the ICU we said, ‘This is really serious. Maybe we should try to make this [the wedding] happen.” So, on April 15, Casey asked Vasquez is she was ready to do it ‘today’ and nurses arranged for eight people to be allowed in Kapalko’s hospital room.

“It was surreal. We all had our masks and gloves on. I had two friends FaceTiming in,” Casey said. “My dad was as cool as a cucumber. He became the guy I had seen officiate so many weddings. He went off script and was really personal. He offered advice and said some really beautiful things. It felt unreal.”

Kapalko died on April 27, just 12 days after the wedding at age 62. Casey says she will always cherish the special moment she shared with her father and his name will forever be on her marriage license.

Determined Dog Swims Through Floodwaters To Save Favorite Toy

This tiny dog was not going to let anything stop him from parting with his favorite toy- not even a big flood.

When Kristen Tahiri’s backyard in Grayslake, Illinois was left flooded on Wednesday after heavy rain in her area, her 1-year-old dog Lily didn’t seem to mind the mess at all.

Credit: Inside Edition/YouTube

“We got close to seven inches of rain and I’ve never had water like that in my yard, ever,” Tahiri told InsideEdition.com. “There’s not even a sewer back there or anything.”

In a video Tahiri posted on her Facebook page, Lily is seen diving straight into the flood water and playing fetch with a toy. “She actually jumped in earlier after a squirrel,” Tahiri said. “At that point I was like, ‘Oh well, you’re in it. We’ll give you a bath later.’”

Credit: Inside Edition/YouTube

Tahiri said the flooding created a two-foot-deep pool in her backyard, which luckily subsided 12 hours later. Unfortunately, many of the things stored in Tahiri’s garage were destroyed and the flood left a pit of mud in her backyard.

This weather affected many people in Illinois, causing flooding and cleanup problems to residents and roads across the area. Some residents in the northern suburbs had to evacuate overnight due to the severe weather and police wound up bringing plastic rafts to help motorists whose cars got stranded.

Watch the video of Lily swimming through flood waters to save her favorite toy in the video below!

Last Friday, an injured deer walked into a Piggly Wiggly grocery store in Wisconsin, forcing an evacuation of patrons.

According to WDJT Milwaukee, the deer was injured before making its way into the grocery store, after it apparently slammed into a set of glass windows at the strip mall. The manager of Piggly Wiggly, Mike Edwards, said: “It had a broken leg obviously, and there was a little bit of blood.”

Credit: Festival Foods/Facebook

Despite its injuries, the deer managed to walk inside the store with the help of the automatic doors. Edwards said he initially feared for the customers, but then felt compassion for the deer.

He told WDJT News: “Everyone was in shock because you don’t expect a deer to be inside the building.

While the deer didn’t cause any damage and eventually laid down in the liquor section, police and Department of Natural Resources still advised customers and employees to evacuate the store.

“Right in mid-shopping so there were carts all over the store half full and carts in the checkout lanes,” said Edwards. After about an hour, authorities removed the deer but sadly it had to be put down due to its injuries.

There are more than 100,000 kids in the foster care system in the United States just waiting to be adopted, and one Florida couple always dreamed that one day they would be able to give one of those children a loving home.

“We always wanted to be a blessing and adopt a child,” said DaShoan Olds. However, that dream suddenly became a reality when he and his wife, Sofia, saw a story on the news last year about siblings looking to be adopted into one family after being separated into several foster homes.

“It was a done deal from the day we saw the story,” Sofia said. “Before we even met them, it was a done deal. When I saw that picture, it was a done deal for me, honestly. We looked at each other and said, we’ve got to do this. It’s time. There’s no maybe, we have to do this.”

“I heard from so many people that finding a home for seven children would be impossible,” said the Children’s Home Society’s Blaire Bell, who was thrilled when the Olds applied to adopt all seven of the kids. “Siblings are the longest bond that you’ll have; it was very important to find a home that would be able to take all seven and make a real forever family.”

Dava, Erica, Eric, Zavian, Leondras, Reginald, and 12-year-old Necia, the eldest, have since been officially adopted and are thrilled to finally be together under one roof again. “We thought we would never be adopted, but I thought this was a really good blessing for us,” Necia said.

“We’re going to build their faith up, we’re going to build them educationally,” DaShoan said. “We’re going to get them active in a sport or an activity, or something extracurricular. And we’re going to love each other. So, we’re going to do all of it.”

One New Jersey couple thought their days of parenting were long over, however, when their daughter tragically died of Lupus, they didn’t hesitate to take in their three beloved grandchildren.

Even though they didn’t have the means to support a family of five at this point in their lives, Jackie and her husband Rande, who have been married for 17 years, refused to let someone else raise their grandchildren. “They have helped so many other people in their times of need,” said family friend Debbie.

But this past March, their luck finally turned around when the numbers on their Mega Millions ticket matched all five white balls that had been drawn and they won $1,000,000. “They are the most deserving people in New Jersey,” Debbie said about Jackie and Rande after driving them to the lottery headquarters to collect their million dollar check. “And now it is their turn to receive this very necessary blessing.”

The couple plans to spend some of the money paying off bills and then plan to put the rest of the money aside for their grandchildren to have in the future.“I am just very grateful. This will help our lives out a lot,” Rande said. “This will be the beginning of good fortune to our family,” Jackie added.

Almost every bride dreams of that special moment when their dad will walk them down the aisle and give them away on their wedding day.

But Minnesota bride Allyson Eischens knew it was a moment she would unfortunately never get to experience since her dad passed away before her wedding. Allyson’s to be husband, Garrett Eischens, knew how upset she was about not having someone to give her away so he secretly started working to find a replacement.

Just before the wedding, Garrett had her dad’s best friend, Cris Roose, fly from his home in Florida and surprise her. “The kids closed my eyes… all of a sudden, I heard Chris say, ‘I heard somebody needs to be given away,” Allyson said. “I hadn’t even seen him yet but I knew it was his voice.”

“Our families were always hanging out together and after my dad passed away, I guess he kind of filled that spot as that person you can go to for anything and was always there,” Allyson said about Chris, who originally said he could attend the wedding because his wife had been in an accident and needed to be looked after.

Chowder is a 3-year-old Chow Chow from the Philippines who is making headlines across the internet, and for good reason.

Besides the fact that he is incredibly handsome, people are mistaking this fluffy dog for a stuffed animal. Chowder’s owners told InsideEdition.com that he is often mistaken for a bear on the streets.

Credit: chowderthebeardog/Instagram

“When people see him in the mall, the usual reactions are, ‘[he] looks like a bear,’” his owners said. “He started to pick up quite a following.” Chowder has a thick coat of fur which is brushed every day to keep it looking fluffy as ever, and his owners said that Chowder receives weekly baths and monthly trips to the groomer.

Despite his online fame, his owners say that Chowder is not letting the fame go to his head. “When he is at home he likes to people watch through the window and watch cars and other pets pass by. He also loves strolling outside or at the mall where it’s cold,” they said.

“He has no idea what’s going on,” they continued. “He just lounges around and does his daily routines having no idea that he is being photographed and videoed.”

A Kansas City news helicopter helped find a missing toddler who was sleeping in the back of a car when it was stolen on Wednesday night.

3-year-old Amaya Vester was asleep in the backseat of her mother’s boyfriend’s car on Wednesday, when he stopped to get gas at a Valero station. After filling up his car, he went inside to get the girl a cold drink and left the car running so he didn’t wake her. Surveillance video from the gas station shows the moment a man, who was filling his car nearby, motion to a woman inside the store to come out.

Credit: Handout

After making a few purchases, the woman handed them over to the man then jumped in the unlocked car, speeding out of the parking lot with the stolen vehicle and girl inside. Once the boyfriend called police they were able to track the suspect’s phone, which registered a ping in Leavenworth County. A KHSB news helicopter set out to catch the suspect, but instead, they spotted the missing Ford Focus abandoned in a rural area with the 3-year-old inside.

Reporters filmed the moment Amaya ran right over to the first officer on the scene, and Skytracker pilot, Captain Gregg Bourdon said, “It doesn’t happen too often we have this special ability that we’re one of the few helicopters in the city. We’re a real news helicopters, and this is what we do. We don’t just do promotional stuff.”

An officer gets down to one knee to talk to the petrified little girl and then carries her to an ambulance, which took her to a hospital as a precaution. Authorities said the little girl had a water bottle in the car and appeared to be in good spirits. The couple behind this are still on the loose, but police have released surveillance footage from the gas station in hopes that someone will recognize them and report them to police.

When Brodie Brooks was fishing last week in Anderson, South Carolina, he was convinced he caught a large fish when he felt his fishing rod get very heavy.

According to InsideEdition.com, it turns out, what Brooks reeled in was not a fish, but instead, a woman’s purse. This 11-year-old actually reeled in a woman’s purse that had been missing for 25 years! “I felt that I really had a fish,” Brodie told InsideEdition.com. “But then when I got it up to the surface, I was like, ‘I ain’t got no fish.’”

Credit: YouTube- Inside Edition

Brooks, along with fellow fisherman on the boat opened the purse to check for identification and low and behold they discovered it belonged to a friend- April Bolt. When Bolt learned that these fishermen had found her purse after all these years- she was shocked! “I was in total disbelief. I couldn’t believe it,” she said. “After 25 years, what are the chances of getting the purse back?”

Apparently, Bolt had left her purse on a boat back in 1992, and despite being submerged underwater for more than two decades, all of the items were still in tact.

Credit: YouTube- Inside Edition

The bag was filled with makeup, credit cards, pictures, and even her high school diploma! “To a lot of people this is just a muddy mess,” Bolt said. “But to me, it’s precious to have all my belongings back, especially the pictures.”

The photos were of Bolt’s son at 15 months old, and even Bolt’s favorite lipstick was still in perfect condition! “I never thought in a million years I’d get it back,” she said. “But you know, it’s just that lucky chance.”

‘Paralyzed’ Pup Walks Minutes After He Was Supposed To Be Euthanized

When one family’s perfect six-week-old puppy suddenly stopped walking, they assumed she was paralyzed and brought her to the vet to be euthanized.

“Her former owners brought her into our vet yesterday. They said she was paralyzed. They stated that they didn’t want her, immediately signed her over, refusing any treatment (except euthanasia), and just left,” California-base rescue group, Hand in Paw, said in a post to their social media.

Photo by Piper Wood/Hand in Paw

The vet, Dr. Z, refused to put the tiny pup down without running a few tests to see what was really wrong with her, and when the diagnostic tests came back, he realized her blood sugar was the problem and her ‘paralysis’ was really just hypoglycemia. “Maybe they weren’t feeding her enough, and her blood sugar was too low,” said Piper Wood, founder of Hand in Paw.

Photo by Piper Wood/Hand in Paw

“Dr. Z immediately began treatment, and within 10 minutes, this girl was moving around. Today, she is standing and eating on her own!” Hand in Paw wrote about the puppy they renamed Bella. “It was a pretty simple fix,” Wood said. “A couple IVs, some fluids and she was fine. It probably cost less than euthanasia.”

Photo by Piper Wood/Hand in Paw

“She is only 6 weeks old, but will certainly have a full, wonderful life ahead,” Hand in Paw wrote. “If you’re going to get a dog or any animal, they are a family member,” Wood said. “If you’re not ready to deal with health issues that come up, and you’re not prepared to give them what they need, then you probably shouldn’t have an animal.”

Normally police officers are considered heroes for risking their lives to save others, but three Connecticut cops are being hailed as heroes for the simple thing they did when a young boy’s favorite possession was stolen.

When 12-year-old Naz Harding’s bike was stolen, he was crushed because it meant he couldn’t ride around with his friends anymore. Soon after, Officer Tyrell Jenkins, Officer Kevin Smalls, and Officer Christopher White from the Hartford Police Department heard about what happened and decided to step in and help.

“They do a lot for the community so we wanted to do something for them,” Officer White said about Naz, who is part of the department’s youth program, and his mom, Cathy Harding. “We felt the need to make it right.” Together, the three cops split the cost of a brand new bike and recently surprised Naz with the gift and let him take it for a test ride.

“Thank you for buying me a bike. [I was] surprised and happy, because I could ride my bike with my friends [again],” Naz said. “It was pretty cool of them to stop on their busy days fighting crime and doing what they’re doing just to give my son a bike,” Cathy said. “Just to give him back a bike, just as simple as riding with his friends means so much to these kids.”

While driving home from a friend’s house just after midnight, two Illinois teens stumbled upon the scene of a horrific car accident on a remote country road.

“We could see smoke and the car on the left side,” Hunter Hasenjaeger said. “I just saw the car and the whole front was totaled on the driver’s side.” As they got closer to the destroyed vehicle, the Hunter and friend Collin Barry could hear a baby crying. “We could hear the baby crying extremely loud and screaming.”

Hunter and Collin ran up to the vehicle and discovered the one-year-old’s mother, Alexis Danley, who was six months pregnant, hanging out of the front of the car. “Her arm was hanging out and her other hand was reached back grabbing the baby seat,” Collin said.

Knowing it would take the police some time to get to the accident, the boys worked together and managed to pull the baby out of the wreckage safely. “I just kept telling the mom that her baby was OK and that she was OK and that she’d be fine. She couldn’t really respond, but I knew that she most likely heard me,” Hunter said. “I didn’t even know her name but I felt a connection. I think I did what any person should have done. That’s just how I was raised.”

Danley tragically died at the scene after being hit by a 23-year-old, who was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, but her daughter was taken for an evaluation at the hospital and then released to her family.

Since the accident, Hunter has visited the victim’s family to bring food and even a stuffed animal for the baby he helped save. “I just felt like it was the right thing to do. [People need] to keep the family in their prayers,” Hunter said. “I don’t think I’m a hero in any way. That’s how me and Collin are every day, just trying to help people.”

In a video that you have to see to believe, a group of bystanders risked their lives to save a group of people trapped in burning cars.

It all happened on a road in the Ingushetia Region of Russia, where the video shows a group of people at the side of the road likely having car trouble. But, no one could have anticipated what was to happen next, and while discussing what to do, the driver’s rear dash cam captures a terrible car crash which involved two cars.

One car is rear-ended by another vehicle and spins out of control, hitting the guard rail before coming to a complete stop. A young man rushes to the vehicle and tries to open the car door to get the people out, but he’s startled when the car’s rear bursts into flames.

An elderly man rushes in to help, and he races towards the burning car and attempts to get the three people out that are trapped inside. Several other people join in the rescue and they kick in the windows when they realized the car doors were locked.

Thanks to their quick-thinking and fearlessness, they dragged the three people out of their cars, putting themselves at risk in the process. We are unsure how any of these men are doing today, but we are hopeful that they got out just in time to avoid any serious injuries.

A woman was left speechless after she received an anonymous letter filled with cash and a note explaining the reason for it.

Reddit user stehigs321 decided to share a photo of the letter and the money inside, leaving everyone stunned. It turns out a person had stolen her wallet years ago and is now reaching out as a way of an apology.

According to the letter, the thief had robbed her to pay for drugs…

Credit: Reddit- stehigs321

The letter reads:

“Dear [name redacted]

About 5 1/2 years or so ago I did something very terrible to you, I stole your wallet out of your purse. I was a drug addict wanting to take money from whoever I could to get my next high. I didn’t even know you, I pick pocketed you and took it right out of your purse. I took the Best Buy card you had in it and whatever cash that was in it and threw the wallet in a trash can next to a store.

Not too long after that I landed in a treatment facility and got sober. I’ve been sober for 4 years now and just recently found your Best Buy card in a bag of old stuff, I looked up your name and found where you worked. So here I am.

I can’t imagine the frustration and despair I put you through not to mention all the time and effort looking for it and getting all new stuff. It is unforgivable what I have done but I would like to pay you a small amount of money for it.

I will also never hurt someone in that way ever again and will continue to live an honest life.

I wish you nothing but happiness, prosperity, and good health.”

I’m sure this woman never in a million years expected to get a letter, let alone any money back from the thief who stole her wallet, but she was pleasantly surprised. While things like this don’t usually happen, it’s a good reminder that it’s never too late for forgiveness.

Have you ever tried to make things right after a mistake that you made?

When one New York Man’s English Golden Retriever suddenly ran off during a walk on the beach, he couldn’t understand what made his normally well-behaved companion do something so uncharacteristic.

But as Mark Freeley looked out into the Long Island Sound past his dog, Storm, he saw a small deer struggling to stay afloat. “Storm just plunged into the water and started swimming out to the fawn, grabbed it by the neck, and started swimming to shore,” Mark Freeley said.

Storm dragged the fawn onto the beach and laid down next to it. “And then he started nudging it, and started pulling it to make sure she was gonna be OK I guess,” said Freeley, who called animal rescuers to come check on the animal. However, when rescuers from Strong Island Rescue got to the scene, the deer got spooked and ran back into the water. “This time it went out even further,” Freeley said.

“The second rescue was a lot of anxiety,” said rescuer Frank Floridia, who swam out and used a rope to catch the baby. “I don’t think I could’ve done it without the help of my partner. I was exhausted at the point my knee blew out, and I collapsed on the beach,” Floridia said about partner Erica Kutzing.

The fawn was covered in ticks and had an eye injury, so they took it back to recover at an animal rescue center and hope to release it back into the wild once completely healed, soon.

Home About To Fall Off Cliff Is On The Market For $850,000

This house may be teetering off the edge of a cliff but it will still cost its next owner $850,000 to purchase.

This does seem like a lot of money for a home that doesn’t even look safe, but it’s realtor, Valerie Crowell says the property is a steal. “Mathematically, it’s not that crazy,” she said. “We are in a $1.5 million neighborhood,” according to InsideEdition.com

The home, which was damaged by a landslide that resulted from heavy rain, is located in Lafayette, California. The home is red-tagged, meaning, “Entry into the home may result in death or injury.”

“It’s red-tagged because if there is any more shifting, there is going to be a big problem and somebody could definitely be hurt,” Crowell continued. Due to the landslide last year, the master bedroom dangles over a cliff and there are visible cracks along the floorboards.

The tag is shown on the front door so potential buyers know the home is not safe. Besides its dangers, the home is outdated, contains stained carpets and a clear view of a construction site right outside the gate. The only attractive features of the property include a quiet community and a good school district.

Despite its major flaws, Crowell does a few showings a day with people who are willing to repair the issues. “With the right person and the right fixes, this is all salvageable,” she said.

Take a look at the home in the video below:

Stranger Comforts Little Boy Having A Meltdown On 8-Hour Flight

A kind woman did something incredible for a distressed boy during a long international flight on July 14.

Rachel Groner was on a flight from Israel to Brussels when her and her husband noticed a boy walking. “He was crying and just started to shriek. It was clear to me that just from listening, [that] this was a child who didn’t have a use of a vocabulary. He was trying to communicate something,” Groner told InsideEdition.com.

After a few minutes of hearing the child’s cries, passengers grew weary and were losing their patience. “People are frustrated. People are waking up. It was a day flight, which is always a little harder,” Groner said. “The phones [on the plane] just started to ring so I’m getting thoughts in my mind we’re going to have an emergency landing. You can see people kind of craning their necks and trying to figure out what’s going on and all I’m thinking about is this poor mom; she’s probably mortified as it is.”

So, Groner decided to take matters into her own hands and she finally got out of her seat.  “I went to the aisle where he was sitting. I just put out my hand. It was surreal. I didn’t know what I was doing. There are tears streaming down his face. He put out his hand. I just put him on my lap and just gave him a gentle but firm hug and started to rock him and he was quiet.”

The two sat together doodling on motion sickness bags and Groner said that the boy, who she believes is about 8-years-old began to smile. “I took another motion sickness bag and I put my hand down and I gave him the pen and together we traced my hand,” Groner said. “He started to smile and he looked at me and took his glasses off and put them on his face. All of a sudden, we were friends.”

Groner told InsideEdition.com that after that she could feel the sense of relief throughout the cabin and Groner’s husband, Benton Groner snapped photos of the encounter. “It told me that everybody just wants a hug and to be listened to and if we’re willing to do that, we can literally change lives… I was just in awe,” he said. “One of the reasons I started snapping pictures to remember that moment.”
