10-Year-Old Delivers Baby Brother And Saves His Life

When one expectant Louisiana mom woke up on Aug. 11, she got up to use the bathroom and was terrified when she realized her water had just broken.

Not only was Ashly Moreau in labor at just 34, but when she looked down, she saw the baby’s feet sticking out of her, which meant that he was in the breech position. Ashly’s fiance, Kelsey Richard, had already left for work, so she called out for her 10-year-old son, Jayden.

When Jayden ran into the room, he found his mom laying on the floor bleeding out, which the doctor later explained was her placenta detaching from the uterine wall because of the premature birth. “When he got to the bathroom, he just took a deep breath and said, ‘ok, Mom, just tell me what I need to do.’,” Ashly said.

“He didn’t look scared, he looked calm and brave and I said ‘ok, I’m going to tell you what to do and we need to get your brother out as fast as possible because he’s breeched and he can’t breathe.'” Jayden rotated baby Daxx and then pulled him out. “I was crying, but I just tried to stay calm and collected,” Ashly said. “Jayden was so calm that it made me more calm. I could see he was scared, but he knew he had to do it.” But Daxx still wasn’t breathing, so Jayden ran to the kitchen, grabbed a nasal aspirator, and started pumping air into his nose and mouth until he started breathing.

EMS arrived shortly after and took baby Daxx and Ashly to the hospital where they both recovered from the traumatic birth. “Every time I think about it, I just cry,” Moreau said. “I don’t think Jayden understands what he’s done and how big it is,” Ashly said. “I said to Jayden, ‘You’ll always have a special bond with your brother.’ I’m just so proud of him. He saved our lives.”

Dog Praised For Finding $85,000 Worth Of Heroin

Usually, dogs get punished for digging holes in their owner’s lawn, but one Oregon Golden Retriever is being praised by both his owners and the community because of what he found buried in his backyard.

Earlier this month, an 18-month-old Golden Retriever named Kenyon was outside playing and digging in his family’s backyard. While digging, Kenyon discovered a sealed black tube, which his family assumed was a time capsule from the home’s previous owner.

Photo by Facebook/Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office

“Kenyon’s owners, who wish to remain anonymous, thought Kenyon had located a time capsule buried by the previous homeowners and for posterity sake they video-taped themselves opening it,” Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office explained. “Once opened, they quickly learned it was not a time capsule but more likely some type of controlled substance.”

Photo by Facebook/Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office

“What the family didn’t realize was that Kenyon’s mischievous digging nature unsuspectedly helped take approximately $85,000 worth of black tar heroin out of the community,” the police explained. The family immediately called the police and turned in the substance, which turned out to be about 15 ounces of heroin.

“Opioid addiction and overdose deaths are on the rise and with the help of Kenyon this large quantity of heroin is removed from our community,” said Sheriff Tim Svenson, who named Kenyon an honorary narcotics K-9 officer for life and presented him with an official Yamhill County K-9 citation ribbon.

In a life-changing episode of Judge Judy, TV Judge Judy Sheindlin lets a dog loose in the courthouse to prove who owns it.

In a now viral clip of the episode posted to the internet on Monday, a woman claimed she bought the dog on the street, while a man claimed the pet was his.

The woman argued she brought the dog to a vet who said it was a mixed breed and about 5-years-old, which Judge Judy deemed was all irrelevant information to the case.

After some questioning, Judge Judy had enough and she ordered the dog to be brought into the courtroom and let loose.

The woman walked in carrying the dog and it was apparent it wanted to go to its rightful owner- the plaintiff.

After Judge Judy ordered the woman put the dog down, it excitedly ran over to the man and it jumped on his leg as the man started to cry

Judge Judy was then able to make a decisive ruling: “It’s his dog.”

Photos of a little boy in China comforting his older sister at the hospital are touching hearts around the world.

The pictures were uploaded onto the Facebook page, China Daily and they show 7-year-old Zhao Wenan consoling his sister. “Dear sister, don’t cry, I will always be there for you,” the boy said. These 11 words, along with the pictures of the siblings left people in tears.

Credit: China Daily/Facebook

It seems that when Zhao’s sister was in the hospital, someone took the pictures, which wound up online. Reports revealed that the little girl had a lacerated kidney, a condition where the kidney has either an injury, break, or tear.

The condition is believed to be the result of forceful or direct blows, and according to Medicine Net, a lacerated kidney needs around six weeks to heal. If the laceration is minor, it may heal faster. However, if the laceration is deep, the patient needs to undergo surgery.

While the health of this young girl is unknown, with the support of her little brother, she can probably overcome anything. These photos remind us of pictures from recent months where a little boy consoled his exhausted mom on the subway

All of the photos show that children have a greater capacity for empathy than we may have thought.

Restaurant Ships Milkshake Across The U.S. To Grant Dying Woman’s Final Wish

A restaurant in Clevehand Heights, Ohio, made a dying woman’s wish come true when they delivered her a mocha milkshake.

Tommy’s Restaurant has been serving thousands of milkshakes over the last 50 years, but they served the most special one last month. Owner Tommy Fello told Fox 8, “I wasn’t even sure if I’d be able to do it.” The special order came from Cleveland Heights native Emily Pomeranz who lived near Washington, D.C. and was in hospice fighting pancreatic cancer.

“As she was doing her swan song as she liked to say, I said, ‘Hey, is there anything you’re going to miss in terms of food”?’ And she said, ‘What I would do right now for a Tommy’s mocha milkshake,’” said longtime friend and fellow Cleveland Heights native Sam Klein. Klein then reached out to Fello, who set out to make Pomeranz’s wish come true.

Credit: tommyscoventry.com

After pulling together dry ice donated by Pierre’s ice cream and packaging a frozen shake and paying $123 in overnight shipping, Fello got a mocha milkshake to Pomeranz’s hospice room in Arlington, Virginia. Klein snapped a photo of Pomeranz holding the shake and Fello said, “Seeing her in that picture was just something else, I’ll tell ya. What a reward.”

“I was so happy it worked, he continued. “I wasn’t sure how it was going to work, and Sam called me and said it worked. We called it the ‘Milkshake Mission’ or something like that, ‘Mission Impossible.’”

Sadly, Pomeranz passed away on Friday but the milkshake mission lives on. Klein posted the story to his friends on Facebook and it’s being shared by hundreds of people. “She got a lot of momentum out of not only being able to enjoy something as special as a childhood nostalgic milkshake but the fact so many people were smiling about her,” Klein said. “A lot of people have said ‘this made me feel good’ and I know Emily would love the fact that she’s making people feel good even though she’s not here with us anymore.”

Klein posted on Facebook asking others to visit Tommy’s Restaurant to order a milkshake for Pomeranz and to thank Fello for his small act of kindness that made a huge difference.

Woman Finds Lost Engagement Ring 13 Years Later On A Carrot

When a woman lost her engagement ring in her garden in 2004, she thought it was gone forever.

Mary Grams, 84, told CBC News that she thinks she lost the ring while pulling a large weed from the garden. “We looked high and low on our hands and knees,” she said. “We couldn’t find it. I thought for sure either they rototilled it or something happened to it.”

Credit: CBC News

Grams has had the ring since 1951, a year before she married her husband, Norman, and after it was lost, she quickly replaced it. “I didn’t tell him, even, because I thought for sure he’d give me heck or something,” she said.

But. recently, her daughter-in-law Colleen Daley found a carrot in the garden with Grams engagement ring on it! “I knew it had to belong to either grandma or my mother-in-law,” Daley said, “because no other women have lived on that farm.

Credit: CBC News

“I asked my husband if he recognized the ring. And he said yeah. His mother had lost her engagement ring years ago in the garden and never found it again. And it turned up on this carrot,” she added.

The ring must have been on the carrot for a long time since the carrot kind of molded itself around the ring. “If you look at it, it grew perfectly around the [ring]. It was pretty weird looking,” Daley said. “I’ve never seen anything like that. It was quite interesting.”

Gram’s husband died five years ago, so it’s safe to say she’s looking forward to putting her original ring back on. “I’m going to wear it because it still fits,” Grams said.

When one Florida dog realized his human and his two siblings were just inches away from a deadly animal, he bravely jumped in the way even though it meant putting himself at risk.

Recently, Sandy Ruggerio was outside in her backyard with her three dogs when she suddenly heard the terrifying sound of a rattlesnake. Before she could even see where the noise was coming from, her 9-year-old American Staffordshire named Beast stepped in the way to protect his owner and smaller siblings.

Ruggerio rushed Beast to an animal hospital and was treated with antivenom just in time. Beast wasn’t in great shape after being bitten, but responded well to treatment and is now home recovering. And while Beast is being hailed a hero for his bravery, Ruggerio isn’t surprised by his actions.

“Everybody loves Beast. Beast is everybody’s baby. He’s a big, loving bear. He thinks he’s a little dog, a little lap dog. He wants to sit in your lap. He gives lots of kisses,” Ruggerio said about Beast, who also has a very protective side. “He loves people, but he has to protect his mommy and his daddy, anybody that he loves.”

A pair of New York cats are now living the high life as their affluent owner left them $300,000 in her will.

Ellen Frey-Wouters, who died at 88 as a widow and with no children to inherit her $3 million estate in an exclusive section of the Bronx, left the money so her cats, Troy and Tiger, would be well taken care of. According to the New York Post, the Bronx widow left instructions that the funds be used to make sure the felines would “never be caged” and would always be cared for.

Credit: New York Post

Frey-Wauters worked for the United Nations and died in 2015, while her husband, a Brooklyn College Professor, passed away in 1989. The couple’s only child died in infancy so the cats were like her babies.

Dahlia Grizzle, one of the former home health aid is now responsible for taking care of Tiger, who was a former alley cat now living the good life in Ocala, Florida. “He deserves it,” Grizzle said. “He’s a wonderful cat.” Troy lives with Rita Pohila, another one of Frey-Wouters’ former home health aides, who received her own $50,000 from her ex-employer. Pohila declined to discuss Troy with The Post to respect the feline’s “privacy” rights.

When the cats die, the balance of their trust will go to Frey-Wouters’ sister in the Netherlands, who is her only living family member. The rest of her $3 million estate was split between two other home health aides, charities and her lawyer.

The felines aren’t the only beloved pets that were left a fortune when their owner passed, back in 2013, a Tennessee man named Leon Sheppard Sr. left $250,000 and his 4,270 square foot home to his cats, Frisco and Jake, instead of his five children, 12 grand children and six great-grandchildren. Back in 2007, when Leona Helmsley died, she left her dog Trouble, $12 million!

Thoughtful Dog Owner Builds Pup Tiny Room Of His Own

Hennessy is a sweet dog who was lucky enough to have a private room built just for him by his owner.

Hennessy’s owners, David Maceo and his wife bought their first home last month, but before moving in, the family lived for a short time at David’s mother’s house where David, his wife and Hennessy shared one room. Due to how confined Hennessy was in his former home, David wanted to make it up to him in their new house.

Credit: Twitter- Al_Chris16

“I felt kind of bad that we didn’t have a lot of space,” David told The Dodo. “So when we moved I decided to give Hennessy his own room.” David decided that under the staircase would be the perfect place for his dog and he hoped there was a cavity beneath it that was large enough for a pup-sized room.

Credit: Twitter- Al_Chris16

“I had a little camera, and I stuck it in there to see if there was enough space for him. I ended up breaking a little hole in the wall, and it went on from there,” David said. Over the next month, David worked on Hennessy’s room every Sunday, since that’s his only day off.

Once most of the work was done, David made Hennessy’s room feel homey by hanging up a few family photos that he thought Hennessy would enjoy looking at.

“There are pictures of him and his brother; he passed a year ago,” David said. “On the other side, there’s a picture of him and a picture of me and my wife. There’s another picture of my father and mother.”

After Hennessy’s room was done, David was worried he might not even like it, but after they put his bed inside, Hennessy approved. “I grabbed a little snack and threw it in there for him. He walked in, ate it, and then laid down,” David said. “He didn’t move from there for about 25 minutes.”

Credit: Twitter- Al_Chris16

Since the unveiling of his new room, Hennessy has spent most of his time in there resting. “He loves it,” David said. “He feels protected under the stairs. He finds it very comforting. It’s the perfect place for him.”

All of the hard work that David put into Hennessy’s home was worth it, and David says “he’s the best dog…he’s like a son to me.”

Woman Reunited With Wedding Ring Weeks After It Was Lost In The Desert

A woman who lost her wedding ring weeks ago will be reunited with it, thanks to the kindness of complete strangers on the internet.

Elizabeth Docherty from New South Wales, Australia, was on a “baby moon” with her husband in the desert when she lost her wedding ring. “I was pretty devastated, obviously,” Docherty told InsideEdition.com. “I’m very attached to it. It’s got significant value to me, sentimental value.”

Credit: Inside Edition via Elizabeth Docherty

Although Docherty desperately wanted the ring back, her husband told her there would be no way they could find the ring in the middle of the sand dunes.

To Docherty’s surprise, her sister-in-law showed her a picture of a ring posted to Facebook earlier this week and the post read: “Travelers have located a ring in the Simpson Desert. The Birdsville Police are keen to track the owner down,” according to ABC Western Queensland

Credit: Inside Edition via Elizabeth Docherty

Docherty recognized the ring and immediately started crying. “I cried — I just cried,” she said. “I could not even fathom that someone had found that, let alone handed it in.” According to InsideEdition.com, Docherty reached out to authorities who told her that they would be able to verify the ring as soon as the sergeant in charge of the found item is back in the area with cell phone reception.

Docherty, however, is confident she’ll be reunited with the ring.  “There’s an inscription inside it and very few people know what the inscription says,” she said. “Apparently there has been a couple people come forward for it, but no one’s been able to give the details. Certainly, strangers wouldn’t know what the inscription says.”

The entire ordeal has given Docherty hope in the compassion of others.

“The amount of kindness that it’s taken for people on Facebook to take the time out and share a post on a page, that’s how it found me,” Docherty said. “It took only nine hours for that item to track me down once it had gone onto Facebook.”

A street puppy is lucky to be alive after it reportedly fell in boiling water.

According to animal rescue, Animal Aid Unlimited, India, they received the call and rushed to the scene. They do not suspect that any animal cruelty was involved, but they do know this dog had been severely neglected.

When rescuers arrived to see what happened to the pup, they saw that her legs and underside was severely burned. Upon further examination back at their rescue, they determined the pup’s skin was necrotic, which means that the cells and tissue had died. The only thing left to do was removed the dead layer of skin from the pups body to stop infection.

The process of removing the burned dead skin would take several days, but Animal Aid Unlimited was determined to help this injured pup. “She was such a brave little girl,” the rescue wrote on their YouTube

On Day 7 we sedated her and removed all the remaining dead skin,” they added.

More than two dozen puppies were saved from a sweltering hot van this week behind a New Jersey Walmart.

Deborah Yankow, Director of the Bergen County Animal Shelter said that someone shoved the dogs into the back of the van and called the Bergen County S.P.C.A. When Yankow and her team arrived at the scene, they found 26 French and English bulldogs trapped into the van in 90-degree heat.

Credit: Pix 11 News

According to Pix 11 News, papers inside the van showed the hot pups had flown into Newark Airport from Colombia and were going to be sold in Florida. “They were extremely thirsty. The first thing they did was drink bowls and bowls of water,” Yankow said. “They were crammed into two medium sized dog crates, so they were literally on top of each other. If they were in the van any longer, they most likely would not have survived.”

“People should know when they see something like this going on that they need to call the SPCA and report it. So these animals can be rescued and be saved,” she continued.

Credit: CBS New York

Officials believe that the three people who were caught trying to sell the puppies out of the van could be issued as many as 20 summonses per animal, NorthJersey.com reported.

While this was a successful rescue, the puppies are not ready for adoption just yet. They will remain in health quarantine for three weeks to ensure they have no issues. “They’re in isolation because they were unvaccinated,” Yankow said. Under the care of the Bergen County Animal Shelter, the puppies will get their shots, be neutered or spayed and prepped for adoption.

Normally, when strangers see an emergency situation, they call 911 and wait for professionals to arrive. However, when five strangers saw a burning car on the side of the highway, they bravely put their lives on the line to save the driver.

At around 8:30 that night, an 81-year-old driving on the highway got confused and crashed his car into the DOT fence along the road. “This caused the car to become stuck in the weeds. The brush caught fire and soon the vehicle was on fire,” Pasco Police explained.

“Passerbys on Highway 12 noticed the car on fire and stopped to help. The driver was conscious but unable to unlock the doors or get out on his own. As more and more of the car was consumed, a team of local heroes began to assemble at the crash site,” Pasco Police said. “We could feel the heat from the car 100 feet away,” said Porter Romm, one of the brave strangers who risked his life to help the elderly man.

“He was asking us to help him, and you don’t think, you just act at that point,” said Romm, who used a hammer to break the window. “We all just grabbed underneath his shoulders and started pulling.” Just when the strangers got the man to safety, the rest of the car burst into flames. “About all he could say was thank you, thank you so much, you saved my life.”

“By the time the officer got there, the whole car was in flames, there’s no way they would have gotten there in time to pull him out,” Romm said. “It’s unreal to think that 30-40 seconds was the difference between life and death for this guy. I’m just happy we were able to get there in time.”

Shelter Workers Reunite Homeless Man With Beloved Lost Dog

When workers at an animal shelter in Georgia arrived at work one morning earlier this month, they were confused when they saw a homeless man had fallen asleep right in front of their doors.

A staff member from DeKalb County Animal Services woke the young man up and discovered that he had lost his beloved dog, Tata, and had used all the money he collected to pay for a bus ride to get to the shelter in hopes that they had found her. Thankfully, Tata had been found about two weeks earlier but she was being held at the shelter’s other facility, which was too far to walk to.

“Jarvis Smith found this young homeless man sleeping in front of our old shelter today waiting to hopefully find his dog. Jarvis talked with him and felt like he should help. He gave the man money to take the train,” Tracy Hunton Thompson said. When the man arrived at the other shelter, the staff brought Tata out to him and it was clear the two had a very special bond.

“You could see the joy in his face when they were reunited. It was wonderful. The joy for both of them was palpable. It lifted everyone’s spirit to see it. Love is love, no matter who it’s coming from,” said Karen Hirsch, spokesperson for the shelter. “He probably puts the dog first in his life, because without her he doesn’t have anything.”

The shelter had recently started an outreach program to help the homeless get care for their pets so they waived Tata’s fees and offered to help with anything in the future. “Some people don’t understand giving a pet back to a homeless person, but some of those people take better care of their pets than some of us with homes,” Hirsch said. “If you see a homeless person with a pet, and are hesitant to give them money, you can give them dog food, or even flea medicine. They also need bottles of water. Just basic supplies that humans and dogs can use. Their pet is sometimes the only thing they have in their lives.”

Maximillian Kirchoff posted the video to Instagram on Tuesday which showed the duck waddling around and quacking on the G train in Williamsburg. Kirchoff says he got on the Church Avenue-bound train in Williamsburg at the Metropolitan Avenue stop around 7:45 pm when he heard what he thought was a small white dog.

I looked up to see that the white dog in the woman’s arms was actually a duck, a few feet from me,” Kirchoff told amny.com. “It quacked a bit more and she let him down to walk around the subway, on its leash.” Kirchoff then started recording it on his phone as the duck quacks and waddles around the subway car.

One fellow passenger on the subway inquires about the duck, and the owner says, “He’s a pet. We got him when he was a chick.” “She also said that the duck lived with her pit bull and basically believes itself to be a dog,” Kirchoff added. “She then got off at the next stop, walking the duck as a small dog might be.”

Kirchhoff found the entire incident amusing and says he even had bird poop on his shoulder before walking on the train. “I laughed and she told me it was good luck,” he said.

According to the Department of Health, keeping a duck as a pet is illegal in New York  City, in addition to squirrels, pigs, hedgehogs, and ferrets.

At just six years old, one Louisiana boy is being hailed a hero for what he did when he discovered his two younger twin cousins face down in the pool after a family party.

After a family party, first-grade student Branson Lee went outside to look for his two-year-old brother since the door to the backyard had been left open. After spotting his baby brother, Branson realized his two-year-old twin cousins were in the pool and appeared to be drowning.

“My nephew happened to be walking outside because his little brother, who is the same age as my boys, was wandering outside too,” said Jeannie Kelley, the twins’ mom. “He saw his brother and grabbed him, and that is when he saw my babies. And he ran outside and grabbed them and pulled them up out of the pool and started yelling for us.”

“He said he just dove in,” said Courtney Lee, Branson’s mom. “All he knew is he had to try to save them … It was a miraculous thing to know that at 6 years old he didn’t just scream and run away. He didn’t just ignore it or stand there in shock. He just immediately acted and allowed God to do the rest.”

Branson pulled Kaden and Isaac out of the pool and started chest compressions. “They were completely gone,” Kelley said. “There was no life left in them. They were blue. They were limp. There was no heartbeat. There was nothing.” Their father, Steven Kelley, took over CPR and, miraculously, both boys started breathing again soon after.

First responders rushed Kaden and Isaac to the hospital, and doctors were stunned that they showed no signs of brain damage. “The next morning, they were just like nothing had ever happened,” Kelley said. “They were wanting to play, and they pulled their IVs out. They took their oxygen off themselves.”

“It was so amazing how everything came together, because if one thing had changed — other than the door being locked like it should have — if anything had changed, who knows what the outcome would have been. Everything just lined up perfect. Everyone just had their place whether they were praying or alerting us. It was amazing.”

While out on patrol, one Minnesota police officer is usually busy responding to calls and making sure her town and the people who live in it are safe. However…

Over time, Sgt. Kim Lenz has noticed a local elderly woman, Millie Seiver, dancing on her own in the parking lot of her apartment building. So when Lenz passed by recently on a slow day and saw the 92-year-old dancing on her own, she decided to pull over and join in.

“She brightens my day,” Lenz said.”When she gets tired of walking, she starts dancing… I’ve seen her a few times, dancing by herself, so this time I just stopped and danced with her.” Lenz turned her car radio to the song Seiver was playing, turned the music up, and then got out and started dancing.

“It was such a small gesture. People do things like this every day,” Lenz said about the heartwarming moment, which was captured on her dashcam and has been viewed more than 80,000 times. “It’s definitely overwhelming,” said Lenz, who has since told Seiver about the video. “I said, ‘You brightened my day and now you’re brightening the whole world’s day, one view at a time.’’’

When Animal Aid Unlimited rescuers received a call about a mother cow and a baby who were both badly injured, they rushed to find the pair. When they saw the mama, they noticed she had a deep gash in her armpit, and her baby had a deep wound from a rope tied around his neck.

They took the pair back to their hospital and rehabilitation to begin treatment. Upon examining the little one, staff noticed the rope had cut so deep into his neck that he was probably in a lot of pain.

After cleaning the area and applying medicine to the affected areas, all the mother and baby needed now was time to rest. As long as they stayed together, Animal Aid Unlimited was convinced the pair would heal just perfectly. “Bee and Honey healed after 2 months of care. Honey’s not a baby anymore, but he’s still his mama’s little boy,” Animal Aid Unlimited, India, wrote on their YouTube Channel.

“Around the world, cows are treated as if their feelings just don’t matter…But just look at how much they love each other. It does matter. Please donate, because whether dog or donkey, cat or cow, every life is precious,” they added.
