How To Look Sharp Without Even Trying

Want to look like you have your sh*t together even when you don’t?

Sorry, ladies and gents, I am in no position to tell anybody how to get their life together (if, however, you’d like to give me a little advice on how I can get my own life together, call me, beep me…).

I am, however, extraordinarily skilled in the art of looking like I rolled out of the right side of the bed this morning. I can’t balance a checkbook or budget my finances for more than a week at a time (often with months in between), however I can match my blush with my necklace and garner compliments I didn’t even know existed.

If you’re looking for that little extra oomph, here’s a few quick tricks to get you there.

Tailor your clothes:

If you are lucky enough to have disposable income, I highly suggest you get your work clothes tailored to suit your body. It gives you that crisp, finished look that makes people say things like, “I can’t put my finger on it, but you look fantastic. Did you do something new?”

The secret you aren’t about to divulge is that your clothes were made to fit your body exclusively.

If you cannot afford to have the majority of your clothes tailored, pick one regular statement piece. I suggest a single jacket that you wear frequently or perhaps a coat that you’ll be donning everyday this Winter. Tailoring gives you that chic, just-came-from-the-salon look, but for your body.

Coordinate your colors:

The best tip I can give for looking finished is buying clothes that keep with patterns of colors. Stick to a specific color scheme and all your clothes will match really well. For example, I like to stick with green-blues and coral pinks. The two colors are complimentary (they are opposite each other on the color wheel), so they go well together.

Often, I wear a coral shirt, which creates a pop of color, and I try to neutralize that color with a pair of dark jeans. I then accent the outfit with a teal necklace and watch. Find out which two colors work for you and try to stick with that scheme.

Notice, for example, how Taylor Swift (or possibly her stylists), coordinates complimentary colors:

Likewise, find your neutral base:

Going along with the previous idea, find a neutral color that works for you and stick with it. We often find ourselves tempted to buy brown, black, gray, and beige everything with little thought about what it matches.

You then end up with a pair of brown boots and a black coat that would create the perfect outfit if one just matched the other.

Why, God, why is my life so hard right now!?!?!

Relax, breathe, and think about the poor Syrian refugees that don’t have a place to call home right now. Assess how bad your problems really are, cry me a river, possibly donate to this organization, build a bridge, and get over it.

In the future, stick to one color. If you like brown, make sure the items you purchase have a brown base. This will neutralize your basic color palette and allow you to coordinate your outfits like a boss.

Lastly, it has nothing to do with the clothes:

We all know the clothes only make the man to a certain degree. You can have the best wardrobe in the world, but without a decent personality, you won’t get far in life. It’s all about being able to rock the attitude that makes the style.

Create your style, learn how you want to flaunt what you got, and accept that you are a brilliant, unique snowflake of individuality (or something like that).

Baby Clearly Loves ‘Daddy’ More Than ‘Mama’

America's Funniest Home Videos

It’s such a special moment when your child begins calling you Mom or Dad for the first time.

Studies actually show that your child will say “Dada” before “Mama.” The reason is not because the baby is identifying his/her father, it’s just because he/she found those words first.

Before you go getting all upset moms, even if your child doesn’t say “Mama” first, chances are she won’t be saying it the way this baby does.

In this video, this little girl is not only saying “Daddy” first, but she says it so lovingly and sweetly.

And when she says “Mama,” she lowers her voice, and basically sounds like a demon.

Then she goes back to saying “Daddy” all sweet and innocently again, even clapping her hands to show her excitement.

While her Mama may be upset, all you can hear is laughter in the background.

Watch this video to see how this baby clearly loves “Daddy” more:

Theres nothing like going away, and coming home to the love of your dog.

Even if it’s only been a few days, your dog will act like they haven’t seen you in years. The excitement is palpable– they knock you over, jump all over you, and give you a ton of kisses and licks.

When this woman went away, she couldn’t wait to arrive home to her Schnauzer puppy.

As soon as the Schnauzer sees her, he darts towards the living room, and gives his human 1 million licks.

Police Officer Gives Abandoned Pup from Crime Scene a Forever Home

After years on the force, there’s typically very little that can surprise a cop. When officers arrived to a hotel room, they weren’t surprised when they found an unconscious man surrounded with heroine and other drug paraphernalia. What was a shock, however, was the surprising thing Detective Mike Lynes had found in the bathroom.

When Lynes walked into the hotel’s bathroom, he found a tiny puppy left all alone. The puppy, named Daisy, was starving, weak, and exhausted. Lynes brought Daisy to animal control to wait to see if she’d be claimed, but no one came for her.

Daisy felt right at home among all the people who rescued her, and gave her the affection she deserved.

However, Lynes couldn’t get Daisy out of his mind. When no one claimed her, he decided to adopt her so she could become part of his family.

Daisy is a reminder that people aren’t the only ones affected by drug use. She now wears her new police vest, as she and Lynes teach kids about the dangers and consequences of drug abuse.

6 Ways to Beat Holiday Holiday Weight Gain

0
0

The recommended daily intake of calories for the average adults is around 2,000 calories a day, but that number is more than doubled during big holiday meals like Thanksgiving.

The average American eats 4,500 calories on Thanksgiving, with about 3,000 of those calories consumed just at dinner. While the holidays are a time of celebration and eating delicious food, you don’t have to give up your health to celebrate.

Take a look at these top six tips for staying healthy and avoiding binge eating during the holidays without having to give up on all the fun.

6. Beware of fake healthy dishes

Just because it has a vegetable in it, doesn’t mean it’s great for you. These are the dishes like green bean casserole and mashed potatoes, which seem healthy but can be extremely high in sugar, fat, and sodium. Also, paying attention to how things have been prepared (think baked vs. deep fried) will help indicate if a dish is actually all that healthy.

You can still enjoy these foods in moderation, but just be sure not to go overboard with these tasty dishes.

5. Never skip breakfast

It might seem like a good idea to skip breakfast to save your appetite for the huge feast, but you should always eat breakfast- especially the day of a huge holiday dinner like Thanksgiving. If you skip the most important meal of the day, you’re more likely to over-indulge in appetizers, and binge during dinner and dessert.

4. Stay hydrated

Staying hydrated with water is a huge part of regulating your appetite. Make sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day, and right before you eat dinner. The water will fill your stomach, which will have you feeling full before you can manage a second helping of stuffing.

3. Sign up for a turkey trot

Just because it’s a holiday, doesn’t mean you should ditch your workout routine. Try to get in a quick workout in the morning, or sign up to run a turkey trot with family. Not only will that morning workout jumpstart your metabolism, but you’ll also be more likely to make healthier choices later on at the dinner table.

2. Use smaller plates

Those big plates might look pretty on the table, but research has shown that you’re more likely to overeat using bigger plates even when you’re no longer hungry. Using smaller 10-inch plates compared to the standard 12-inch helps you naturally eat about 22 percent fewer calories without feeling like you’re restricting yourself.

1. Slow down

It might be tempting to inhale your favorite holiday meals, but the rate in which you eat your food has a huge impact on calorie consumption. Research shows that chewing slower, is a really useful way to eat less food, so remember to slow down and savor each dish.

Slowing down also applies to how soon you fill up your plate again. It takes your stomach about 20 minutes to register when it is full, so remember to wait at least 20 minutes before going in for seconds.

If you struggle to remember portion sizes, take a look at this helpful chart, which shows you what 200 calories looks like of each dish:

10 Ways FOMO Will Actually Cause You To Miss Out

0
0

Acronyms are all the rage these days.

All the cool kids are using them, and you want an in with the popular kids, I suggest you start using them too. One of the most popular of 2015 is FOMO or the “Fear Of Missing Out.” In case you’ve spent the majority of this year living under a rock, FOMO is accepting the following:

  • A lunch invitation with your co-workers rather than completing a task because you’re looking for office bonding and that might be found over paninis, right?
  • An invitation to go out to the bar because maybe tonight will finally be the night you have a blast.
  • That feeling you get in the pit of your stomach when you see your high school friends posting photos from their wedding.

FOMO is a pervasive condition that it is incredibly easy to fall prey to in these heady days of Facebook, Instagram, the online news media and instantly searchable job postings. It’s that feeling that no matter what you’re doing, you must be missing out on something, whether that’s a better job, a cooler vacation, a more exciting party or a more adventurous breakfast.

According to Psych Central, It’s not “interruption,” that’s the driving force of FOMO, and it isn’t exactly connection either. Rather, it’s the potential for connection. We check our cell phones as we drive because we value what somebody of value may have said more than we value our own lives.

We accept an invitation to the bar because we value the potential for a good times with others more than we value a necessary night in with ourselves. FOMO doesn’t guarantee a better connection or a better time elsewhere. It only guarantees a different connection, but that promise of difference is the driving force that keeps us checking the phone as we drive.

Here are a few other ways you might be missing out due to FOMO:

  1. It makes us doubt ourselves: You were confident in your life until Facebook showed you a girl from high school marry a millionaire…on a yacht…in the Bahamas…after publishing her best-selling novel.
  2. You place too much value on appearances.
  3. It makes us less productive: How can we pay full attention to our current job when we are always keeping one eye out for the dream job that we know might be out there as long as we keep looking.
  4. Everything starts to look like an obstacle: When we’re worried about missing out on all the cool stuff, all the normal things in our lives start to seem like burdens.
  5. We start to believe the lies of social media: People don’t post their car accident or divorce papers on Facebook, leading us to believe everybody has a perfect life and we’re the only ones with issues.
  6. You never have enough time for just one thing
  7. You need to be connected at all times: Possibly one of the most exhausting things is being plugged in all hours of the day.
  8. You become indecisive, affecting the quality of your plans: the better option might be right around the corner.
  9. You start to base your success on what others think.
  10. You end up spending too much money: Nearly 7 in 10 (69 percent) millennials experience FOMO, according to a recent study, which also stated that 55 percent of millennials say they’re spending more on events than ever before, “with no signs of slowing.”

28 Signs You Might Be Having A Good Day

The “good day” is an elusive beast commonly found only on the beaches of a tropical island.

Often, we find ourselves not even bothering to look for a good day because we believe they don’t live in this region of the world. Instead, we make room for our mediocre or even bad days. However, we sometimes find ourselves experiencing those hard-to-find good days, cropping up where they least expect them. The sneak in through the doggie door as we eat our cheerios in the morning and sometimes, they’ll even follow us to work. If you experience any of the following symptoms, it’s possible you’re being shadowed by a good day.

  1. When you ate your breakfast this morning, your cereal had the perfect flake to milk ratio. The pieces were neither too dry, nor too soggy.
  2. Your favorite song came on the radio in your car this morning.
  3. A song you like followed your favorite song.
  4. A song with a good tune that you have never even heard before came on the radio too. The music was on point today.
  5. Somebody genuinely laughed at a joke you told.
  6. Your coffee didn’t leak or dribble faint brown (yet delicious smelling) drops across your pants.
  7. You can’t remember the last time you watched the clock.
  8. An email that you received this morning had a funny meme included in it, which made you chuckle. Somebody in the office appreciates 21st century humor.
  9. You send your significant other a “thinking of you” text, just to let them know they’re dancing across your brain and waltzing through your heart.
  10. You have a productive morning and get more work done than you expected to.
  11. You think you’re running late, but then you realize the clock you had been looking at is just running five minutes fast.
  12. Your lunch is delicious.
  13. The cafeteria is serving your favorite flavor of ice cream…with sprinkles.
  14. You receive a compliment from your boss.
  15. You receive a compliment from your co-worker.

  16. You receive a compliment from yourself (sometimes the hardest to receive).
  17. A stranger on the subway is exceedingly polite to you. They even offer you their seat out of the kindness of their heart.
  18. Inspired, you offer the seat to a haggard woman who looks like she could use some time off her toes.
  19. You meet up with a friend or relative for a drink after work.
  20. You receive good news from this friend that makes you genuinely smile and feel happy for them.
  21. You hear children laughing as you walk home and it warms your heart.
  22. You feel like your life sounds a little bit too much like a cliche listicle, and you laugh, because what else can you do?
  23. You feel good because life is something worth feeling good about.
  24. You cook dinner with your significant other and eat the pasta al dente because it’s too good to wait.
  25. You do a corny dance to the music playing on the radio, likely mimicking “the Carlton.
  26. You call your mother just to see how she’s doing and to catch up on each other’s lives.
  27. You take a walk before bed and just think.
  28. You stop and think about how you’re grateful for the life you have been blessed with.

Any day can be a good day if you try hard enough. You simply have to keep an eye out for all the tiny pieces that comprise a good day, and if you string them together just right, you’re left with a positive, uplifting collision of hours.

Couple Had Their Dog Film Their Wedding Day and it’s Stunning

Many couples hire professional photographers and videographers to capture their monumental day. While they might be talented, unfortunately they’re often complete strangers.

Instead of hiring a professional, this couple chose an unconventional member of the family to keep their small ceremony intimate.

When Addie and Josh decided to tie the knot on top of a snowy Roan Mountain in Tennessee, they couldn’t think of anyone better to film the magical day then their dog Ryder.

Because everyone knew the videographer so well, no one was shy or uncomfortable in front of the camera.

Despite only standing a few feet tall, Ryder managed to capture all the important moments.

We Could All Take A Lesson From This Corgi Teaching His Baby To Sit

Parents out there, listen up!

If you are one who applies to the “do as I say, not as I do” school of thought, then this one is for you. I have once again dug through the great depths of viral videos and adorable animals to bring you a precious gem.

This one is unlike all others dug up previously. Actually, that’s a lie–it’s exactly like all the other viral videos out there, but you already clicked the page, so you might as well watch the thirty-two second video.

Here we see an adorable Papa puppy (technically not a puppy if he’s a father), who is teaching his baby Corgi how to sit. After following the puppy around and chasing him for a few moments, he eventually teaches him how to sit by physically pushing his butt into the dirt.

I assure you it’s worth the watch:

we love these precious pooches solely for one reason. Have you seen those adorably stumpy legs. The internet lately, appears to love all things cute, adorable, an slightly deformed. These two Corgis with their stumpy legs are certainly no exception.

But is there really a difference between sitting and lying down with legs that short?

This Simple Test Can Dramatically Help Reduce Your Anxiety

0
0

Sometimes, it can be too easy to get caught up in the daily anxieties of the day.

I can’t go longer than two days without a friend, co-worker, or peer telling me that they have anxiety issues. It seems everybody today is coping with some form of stress that has manifested itself into depression or a compulsion.

We all have our issues and we all have our ways of coping. It’s very easy to get caught up in the little intricacies of life and repeatedly beat ourselves up for the mistakes we make. If you happen to find yourself doing this too frequently, I challenge you to put yourself through the ten year test.

Simply stop and ask yourself, “will this mater in one year, five years, or ten years?”

Chances are, whatever it is you’re stressed out about isn’t actually worth the attention you’re giving it. While you may have accidentally hit “reply all” to the company email and now all your co-workers are peeved by the unnecessary mass email saying you’ll be leaving for Christmas on December 19th, is that really something that will matter after 5pm today? I’m going to go out on a limb here and assume this insignificance will not.

Even something huge, like rejection or financial problems, probably won’t matter beyond the end of the year. Some issues do stay with us and are important, but if you take a moment to stop and breathe, you will realize a lot of your problems don’t matter on a long enough time scale.

Think back to ten years ago. Can you remember the people you were friends with, let along the stupid and embarrassing things they said and did? Do you even care?

Here are a few other things that don’t matter given enough time:

  1. That rejection letter (job/romantic/creative – give it what meaning you will).
  2. The size of your jeans.
  3. That spelling mistake you made in a work email.
  4. The shade of red you turned when you bumped into your ex.
  5. That disappointing exam result. (Note – Exams never turn out to be as much of a life or death situation as your parents and teachers will try to tell you.)
  6. That rude remark from somebody on the subway.
  7. The cleanliness of your kitchen (unless it is in need of being cordoned off with yellow tape and declared a hazardous zone – in which case you might not live to see the next 10 years!)
  8. Your haircut.
  9. Putting red socks in with the white washing.
  10. Embarrassing yourself at your works’ Christmas party.
  11. Getting burned by your summer fling.
  12. Choosing that slice of cake over an apple.

Owl’s might not look as ferocious as a lion, however, their razor sharp beaks and talons make them skilled predators. Despite being an incredible hunter, this owl shows off his affectionate side by letting a little girl give him hugs and kisses.

In the video, the owl patiently stands on a table while a little girl pats his head, and even wraps her arms around him.

At first the owl seems a little unsure of his tiny human friend’s hugs, but is comforted by a few gentle pats on the head.

Town Celebrates Christmas Early, Their Reason Will Move You

Every year, it always feels like the holiday season starts earlier and earlier. As fun as the holiday season is, it can feel a little ridiculous when you start seeing Christmas decorations and advertisements before celebrating Thanksgiving. However, this town has a pretty good reason for starting their Christmas celebrations in October.

Doctors told 7-year-old Evan Leversage, and his mom Nicole, that his cancer had progressed, and that he didn’t have much time to live. Nicole asked if he’d make it to Christmas, but doctors couldn’t guarantee it. The thought of celebrating the holiday without her son was unbearable, so she came up with a plan to ensure Evan would have one more Christmas.

When Nicole heard her son might not make it to Christmas, she decided to celebrate the holiday early with close friends and family.

However, once the rest of the residents of St. George in Canada heard the news, the whole town came together to throw Evan a christmas parade and turn the town into a Christmas wonderland for Evan. They even got snow machines to make October feel more like December.

It comes as no surprise that kids start loving Star Wars long before they can ride a bike.

Some are even fascinated as toddlers, as this video will show you of a baby singing Darth Vader’s theme in her crib!

Liu, who is a writer for the Geek Dad blog wrote about his excitement when his youngest daughter began to show an interest in Star Wars, and specifically in the dark side of the force.

When Darth Vader first appeared on the screen, Liu says, “she started mimicking the sound of his breathing.” “And when the ‘Imperial March‘ started playing, she stood up and danced.”

“Lately, she keeps asking us to sing the ‘Star Wars’ song- sometimes she means the theme song, but quite often what she really wants to hear is Darth Vader’s theme instead,” he said.

“Yesterday, I caught her on the baby monitor after she woke up from her nap, singing to herself:”

Isn’t this incredible? Does your child have as much of a love for Star Wars as this little girl does?

10 Things That Happen When You’ve Been Friends For A Decade

0
0

Some of us are lucky enough to have friends who stay with us for a decade.

They’ve been through the bad, the good, and the awkward. They knew you through your brace face phase as well as your rebellious emo phase (remember that awkward year). Inevitably, we grow up, grow apart, grow together, move to different states, and deal with all the complexities that come with it. If you are lucky enough to have a decade of friendship in your life, these are some of the things you’ve encountered through it all.

1. You know their family as well as you them:

It isn’t out of the ordinary to get the scoop on what’s happening in their parents lives. You’ve been with their family through thick and thin. You watched their older brother eat a worm at age fourteen, but you also watched him get married at age 24. You talked them through their parents divorce and watched their younger siblings go from diapers to high school dances.

It’s gives you a surreal and overly mature feeling to know you’ve been there for all the major events in their life, but it bonds you closer.

2. You’ve been there for their entire dating history, and know them better than their significant other:

After all, who was your partner in crime at age 14 when you had a “sleepover” but really you snuck out of the house to meet a boy from down the block to go for a late night swim? You were there for their long, twisted dating history and you are the person who gets to say, “I told you so,” when it all goes wrong. Having known them for so long, you can see from a distance when it’s all about to go wrong.

3. You are comfortable with silence:

Most parts of your relationship are fairly comfortable, actually. When you’ve been close for so long, you feel no need to fill the gaps with unnecessary chatter. It’s through being so comfortable with each other that you know that awkward silences do not exist. In fact, there aren’t many awkward things that exist between the two of you.

4. You can read them better than they can read themselves:

You understand why they’re being a grump some days and you’ve learned to decipher their indecipherable whining. When they do start to become a grouch, you know that it’s likely because they haven’t eaten all day and they should probably take a nap while they’re at it.

5. You’ve been each others therapists for the past ten years:

You start to recognize the patterns in their behavior more than they recognize it themselves. When they need a good slap in the face because they are whining too much, you are there to give it to them and when they need a great big bear hug, you’re there to give them that too.

You know when they are going down the same road again and you’re there to warn them of an impeding mistake before they make it, even though you know they likely will anyway. You’re ready with the tissues when they do.

6. You grow apart in many ways:

They person you are at age 14 is not the person you are at age 24 and neither are they. As a result, you see the similarities the two of you still have, but you also know you’re differences. You know they aren’t still obsessed with the same punk music as you, so you guys probably don’t talk about that as much, but you also know you can count on them to have a good conversation about your favorite sports team any day of the week.

7. You can always reminisce with them:

Sometimes, over a glass of wine, it’s nice to reflect on where you’ve been, who you’ve known, and how you’ve changed. It’s also funny to talk about everybody you knew who got married, had babies, moved to South America, or dropped off the face of the Earth.

You can always count on them to bring back the nostalgia.

8. They have knowledge about you that few others possess:

Yes, they were there for that time you thought it was a good idea to wear a pink plaid skirt over a pair of jeans. Even worse, they were also there the time you were head over heels for an older boy solely because he had a car, though you forget that he also had repeated senior year…twice. We’ve all made mistakes, unfortunately, this friend knows about all of them.

9. You act like an old married couple:

You aren’t afraid to bicker in public and you remind them to eat their spinach because their system gets backed up if they don’t. You annoy each other and piss each other off, but you’ve never been able to stay bothered for more than an hour because you need their friendship too badly in your life.

10. You go months without talking, but it’s like no time has passed at all.

Inevitably, you will grow up, move away, and have trouble seeing each other frequently. You get caught up in your own life, job, and relationships. However, despite the length of time that has passed since you last spoke, you still always keep them close enough to call up or pay a visit to. When you do see each other, you’re a screaming, laughing mes and it’s like absolutely no time has even passed.

The 20 Top Pet Peeves Every Office Employee Has

Every office has its own set of unwritten rules.

They vary slightly based on where you work and what you do, but ordinarily they exist and you have to stumble upon them for yourself. Often, we don’t discover these rules until we find an intern breaking them on his first day of the job.

As a servant to the people, I have taken the painstaking efforts of writing down the official unwritten rules of office etiquette. If you find yourself breaking these rules, take note, friends.

  1. People who enter the elevator before letting others exit: They trample people who try this on New York subways. Take note.
  2. Corresponding with 10 emails when a brief face-to-face would take less than a minutes: Just because we can with technology doesn’t mean we should.
  3. Office gossip: The water cooler is good for more than just refreshment. Catch up on who hooked up with whom after last year’s Christmas party. Remember kiddies, just because you’re wearing a pantsuit doesn’t make it any less juvenile than high school.
  4. Passive aggressive emails: Say what you mean and mean what you say, darling.
  5. Smelly lunches stinking up the break room: What ever happened to the good old wonder bread sandwiches?
  6. And speaking of which, can we talk about that burnt popcorn: you want a healthy and delicious snack as do I, but please learn how to make popcorn properly. And don’t leave the microwave unattended.
  7. People who hold the elevator door open to finish a conversation: we are all your hostages now. Let us go free and see our cubicles, please.
  8. Co-workers with anger issues: Maybe these foul-mouthed fiends just need a hug…but maybe you should let someone else test that theory.
  9. Personal conversations in the office: Whether it’s between co-workers or you’re just chit-chatting on the phone, nobody wants to hear about your furry cats hi-jinx.
  10. Co-workers who clip their fingernails at their desk: can we talk about how terrible the sound of finger nails be clipped is regardless of when and where? When you do it at the office though, you are subjecting us to things we cannot unhear.
  11. Dishes in the break room sink: You can be a slob-kabob all you want in your own kitchen, but the second you bring it to the office, we’re gonna have a problem here.
  12. When the air conditioning is kept too low: Don’t be stingy with the AC. Nobody here wants to actually wear office attire. At least give us the decency of doing it while we’re cool.
  13. Loud talkers: we hear you, as does the rest of the office. It’s awkward when your conversation has background commentary from your co-workers. Don’t be those guys.
  14. When somebody steals your food from the break room refrigerator: You’re at work…where they pay you. Surely, you can afford to buy your own food from the cafeteria.
  15. Finding an empty coffee pot: It takes a cold-hearted happiness killer to deprive their fellow co-workers of freshly brewed caffeinated heaven.
  16. Gum smacking: There’s just something about gum smacking that resembles the long-lost cousin of water boarding.
  17. Playing your headphones a little too loud: Offices tend to be pretty quiet spaces, so even though you are wearing headphones, doesn’t mean the rest of us can’t hear your secret passion for Justin Bieber.
  18. Being a terrible parker: If you park so close to my car that I have to crawl in through the passenger’s side door, chances are I’ll be writing down your license plate number for future voodoo curse reference.
  19. Leaving the bathroom a mess: There’s only so many people that work in this small office. If you leave it a mess, it won’t be hard to narrow it down. Leave the bathroom as you found it.
  20. The dread reply all: This is the mother of all office grievances. There’s nothing worse than being unwittingly caught in an unending email thread fueled by ticked-off coworkers and hate fire. YOU. CAN’T. ESCAPE.

At one point, Jesse Shand weighed 700 lbs. and had given up all hope of ever losing weight. He didn’t care about his diet, and spent all day on the computer bringing others down so that he wouldn’t feel so bad about himself.

It wasn’t until he stumbled upon a bodybuilder online forum, and members found out about his situation, that he started to believe that he could change himself.

While Jesse now regrets his online bullying, he acknowledges it was his way of coping with his ballooning weight.”It made me feel better about my situation because if I was focusing on someone else being upset, I didn’t have to really think about my own situation,” Jesse explained.
