Dogs are often the most reliable companion a blind or visually impaired person can have in their lifetime, but it takes a very special kind of person to take in a dog who struggles from blindness.

In a post on photo-sharing site Imgur, user stanykins wrote, “I adopted a blind senior black lab last year. I always catch him doing what I call ‘being blind.'”

Since Stanykins has a few other pets roaming around in the photos below, it’s clearly he’s not just a hero to the blind dog no one else would take a chance on, but a true animal lover.

Luckily for us, he’s also got a pretty great sense of humor, too! He captioned the following photo of the dog he named Uncle Ebenezer “Just watching tv with me.”

Here, he jokes the dog hears “A knock on the door?”. You have to feel bad for the poor pooch, but you also have to admit that these photos are pretty funny!

People have flooded Stanykins’ photos with comments like “Thank you for adopting not only a senior dog, but a special needs dog as well” encouraging the adoptive dog parent.

Above, we see Uncle Ebenezer “Hanging out with the rest of my crew of adopted pups – girl on the right I was fostering (shes with a happy forever home now!)” and it makes us so happy to know this brave dog will never be alone or in pain again.

Crocodiles are known for being vicious, agile predators, but this playful baby croc proves that even they need some time for fun.

While zoogoers watched the crocodiles swim around in an enclosure at a zoo in Morrocco, they noticed one baby crocodile get the courage to zoom down a slippery water slide.

The baby crocodile was hesitant as the current started dragging him towards the water slide, but as he started sliding down on his belly, he relaxed and had some fun.

Zoogoers couldn’t help but laugh as the silly creature made a giant splash at the end of the slide.

We usually don’t condone stealing, but this coyote gets a pass for temporarily stealing a dog’s ball so that he could get in an exciting game of fetch all by himself.

While a Canadian man was getting ready to go to work one morning, he looked out into his backyard and noticed a happy wild coyote playing fetch by itself.

This wild coyote borrowed the neighbor’s dog’s ball, and was making good use of the toy by playing a fun game of fetch thanks to a snow-covered hill.

Despite being all alone, the playful coyote was having the time of his life by running up the hill with the ball in his mouth, then dropping it and letting it roll away before finally chasing it.

Most grandparents live to see their children happy and healthy.

That, and the moment they discover a new baby is going to be born in the family! 

When it was time for Mary to break the news to her grandmother that she was expecting, the family gathered around and read the ultrasound. Grandma observed closely noticing that the baby was completely formed, and she smiled from ear-to-ear.

But, wait.. there’s more. 

The moment grandma asks, “What’s that?” the family tells her that is Baby B! Grandma excitedly screams, “It is twins!? Is it twins?!” and when the family says it’s triplets, Grandma totally freaks out asking, “Is it true??”

It was such a special and incredible moment that we are so happy was caught on camera. We wish the best of luck to the family, grandma, Mary and her triplets!

However, when it comes to animals in his own home, Jack proves to be an extremely patient pooch.

In the adorable video, Jack meets and befriends Julia, a tiny kitten and new addition to the home. The cute cat just wants to play with her new big brother, but Jack is pushed way further than most dogs would put up with.

You just have to smile at the way this sweet dog put up with the insatiable kitten. TimoMahonen wrote that “he is extremely protective of his new best friend,” so something tells us that these two are going to be just fine!

When mom, Kimberlee Heberle filmed a smooch sesh with her husband, their adorable baby boy went crazy! Every time their lips locked he let out a contagious giggle that has us smiling from ear-to-ear.

Watching him laugh makes his parents laugh, and it’s basically the most adorable snowball effect we’ve ever seen. 

At least these parents never have to hide their kisses in front of their son. Let’s hope he grows up to love smooching as much as he loves laughing at it!

While you have to love a female for showing the man of the house who’s really boss, what happens next is not so ladylike.

This hysterical dog might be pretty annoying, but you have to give her credit for knowing exactly how to get her way.

Facing your fears can be challenging, even when your fears are completely irrational.

For this adorable pup named Dakota, that irrational fear just happens to be wires and electrical cords, so when his owner challenges him to walk over it, he’s understandably nervous.

Finally, his owner comes up with a fool-proof solution. When Dakota refuses to cross the wire again, his owner lets him know that it’s time to go play outside. Unsurprisingly, Dakota has no trouble facing his fear knowing he’s on his way to play time.

An Ohio family is alive today after the dog they were fostering rescued them in the middle of the night.

Cleveland woman Ashley Shuckerow fosters homeless pets in need until they are placed in permanent, loving homes. She was happy to welcome Dulce, a 2-year-old dalmatian-pit bull mix, who is deaf, and understands sign language for commands like “go to bed”.

When Dulce started barking early in the morning, before Shuckerow’s alarm went off, she thought it was out of character for the deaf pet and got up to investigate.

The day before the incident, the Shuckerow’s had a new furnace installed, so when she went downstairs and realized her home was cold, she knew Dulce has saved her family.

“The guy said well the carbon monoxide is probably flowing into your house,” Shuckerow told local news station WKYC. “She probably sensed it long before we ever would have.” And she sensed it before the carbon monoxide detector did, too.

Although Dulce was a true hero to this family, Shuckerow has decided that she will continue to act as a foster parent to other animals in need, knowing that this sweet dog will find a loving home very soon.

This fearless man’s name is Jim and he has been caring for his Kodiak Bear Jimbo for the past 22 years.

Jim Kowalczik is a former correctional officer, who with his wife Susan, started the Orphaned Wildlife Center in 2015 where they care for 11 bears at a 100-acre facility about two hours north of NYC.

All of the cubs suffered from injuries that rendered them unable to survive in the wild, therefore the family took them into their care. Along with bears, the group rehabilitates horses, deer and squirrels. 

“You can go in and lay down with him, and he’ll pull you right in,” Mr. Kowalczik told the New York Times. 

Here, he is speaking about Jimbo, who is Jim’s 1,500-pound, 9-foot teddy bear!

As you will see in the video below, Jim is shown cuddling with Jimbo and then giving him a glorious back rub, in which Jimbo seems to really enjoy.

Looking at the size of this bear, any normal person would be completely petrified, but Jim’s fear seems to have gone away after raising Jimbo for his entire life.

Your wedding proposal is arguably the most important question a person will ever ask, which is why this man took 5 months to do it.

Ray Smith, a 38-year-old man from Grumsby, UK, was looking for the perfect way to surprise his girlfriend with his proposal. “I searched online for unusual proposals and I saw ideas like flash mobs and that sort of thing,” Ray said. “So I decided to come up with my own idea to take a picture every day for five months.”

Ray had been planning on proposing to Claire for some time, but was trying to figure out the perfect way to do it. “I have been planning to propose for a while and I knew I wanted to do something romantic,” Ray said.

“In June we received some great news that Claire was expecting a baby, which put a stop to that plan,” he said. Ray finally decided to take a picture every day for five months with a little sign asking Claire to marry him.

“I told her I was taking the pictures to track the progress of the baby”

“It was all a bit chaotic on Christmas Day morning so I took her away and set it all up on the laptop,” Ray said. “I got down on one knee and gave her a bit of spiel, and then popped the question”

Cats and water typically don’t mix, but this inspiring one-eyed cat named Kuli is defying all the odds by becoming an expert at riding the waves of Honolulu, Hawaii.

Kuli, which means ‘to look blind’, was found roaming the streets. When Alexandra Gomez and Krista Littleton adopted him, he was only 1 lb, and had to have his left eye removed from an infection. After the surgery, Gomez and Littleton bathed him regularly, which got him comfortable with water.

“His first time in the water, we just let him float on the board by himself near the shoreline and I would paddle around with him,” Ms Gomez told Daily Mail. “Before we knew it we were looking for waves to surf.”

Kuli began surfing when he was only 6-months old, and in the beginning, he wore a lifejacket until he got better at swimming. Now, he’s strong enough to swim on his own, and his owners even got a board that he could sink his claws into for better grip.

It is not uncommon to see kangaroos in the wild in most rural parts of Australia. What photographer Evan Switzer recently witnessed however, is unlike anything he’s ever seen before. 

Switzer spotted a family of kangaroos-mother, father and child in Queensland, Australia and knew something was up as soon as he saw the male trying to lift the female. 

“He would lift her up and she wouldn’t stand she’d just fall to the ground, he’d nudge her, stand besides her… it was a pretty special thing, he was just mourning the loss of his mate,” Switzer told the Daily Mail Australia.

Switzer says he’s seen plenty of dead roos, but never anything like this. He noticed the adult male chasing other kangaroos away while the joey “looked kind of confused.” “It would stand by the mother and then hop off and chew some grass, and then come right back again.”

“It would stand by the mother and then hop off and chew some grass, and then come right back again.” The child came very close to the mom and touched her fur as the father held up her dying head.

The most heartbreaking moment however was when the mother went to reach for her baby one last time, and at that point we lost it.

We are unaware of how the mother died, and we pray for the joey and his father.

This Blood Parrot Cichlid enjoys getting massaged by his owner, and after watching this amazing video, you will see that fish have feelings too.

This fish’s owner named Roland Giroux describes her as the “best fish we have ever owned.”

He says “She actually waits for us to come home from work in the corner of the tank closest to our front door, where she can kinda see and hear us.” She will aggressively start splashing the water to get their attention, and will not stop until they put their hands in the tank!

 “She is so intelligent, I would of never expected that from this fish when we bought her, WoW!!! what a gift we got..I would really like to know if anybody else is doing the same with their Parrot….??? She’s AWESOME!!!! We Love her,” Giroux says of his pet fish.

While you would think fish are devoid of emotions as they swim all day in their tanks and look lifeless with their glassy eyes, this assumption couldn’t be more wrong.

This fish seems to enjoy getting a massage just about as much as a dog enjoys getting a belly rub!

Cats and dogs are natural born enemies, so it’s no surprise that Furgo the Bulldog and Charlie the cat get a little competitive when it comes to cuddling with their owner.

When Furgo saw his owner and Charlie snuggled up on the couch together, he made it very clear that he was not happy by pouting and sulking about it on the other end of the sofa.

After being caught sulking for not getting any attention, Furgo gives Charlie a loaded look, but the cat refuses to make room for him.

Furgo’s owner even tried to give him an affectionate rub, but it’ll take more than that to please this sulking Bulldog.

Dog may be man’s best friend, but this charming two-year-old Australian Labradoodle named Reagan chose a sweet little boy to bond with. In fact, the two are so close they even have matching wardrobes!

Since Reagan was just six months old, his human mom Sandi Swiridoff noticed her silly pup loved being in photographs, and began posting pictures of him to Instagram. Then, when Sandi’s daughter brought home a foster child, the two bonded instantly.

The two became so inseparable that she started dressing them in matching outfits, and they actually began posing together in photos.

“Adopting Reagan was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. He has added so much joy to our lives, and to the lives of many other people.”

“When Reagan’s little buddy came along a year ago, he and Reagan bonded immediately, and have been the best of friends ever since as he and Reagan are the same age.”

“When I put the baby down for a nap, Reagan stays right outside his door and waits for him to wake up and play.”

However, Sandi explained that Reagan actually loves being a part of the photo shoots, which only last a few minutes as he knows he always gets showered with praise and treats during the shoots. “It is a bonding experience for us. When he is dressed up, it’s only for a few minutes while I take the photos, then he gets to return to being a ‘normal’ dog again.”

These babies were already born, but they may not know it yet thanks to an incredible nursing technique that reminds newborns what their life was like when they were inside the womb.

This technique was first introduced back in 2013 by a French nurse named Sonia Rochel Krief, and she calls it the Thalasso Baby Bath or “Baby Spa.”

As you will see in the video below, Sonia cradles the newborn twins’ delicate bodies and gently eases them into their new surroundings with warm water and calming music.

Sonia wanted the newborns to be able to re-live those moments when they were still inside their mommy’s belly and believes it is important for them to have a recollection of their life before birth. 

In an interview, Sonia explains the idea came to her when she was taking a shower and she realized how great the water felt running down her face.

“That’s how I developed this special bathing technique who is there to welcome baby in all softness … it is like a welcome gift, my gift to them to welcome them into this world. I take the time … for such a young baby so soon after birth, the memories of being in their mommy’s belly are still very vivid … and with the bath I want her to re-live those beautiful moments, and cherish them.”

And it’s truly beautiful.

Sonia says the Thalasso Bath is only for babies younger than two months old and advises parents not to try it at home.
