After 3 weeks in the hospital due to an aggressive MRSA infection in his foot, NY Giants tight end Daniel Fells returned home to the most awesome welcome from his kids.
Fells nearly had his foot amputated due to the infection, but thankfully avoided it. During his 3-week hospital stay, he underwent 7 surgeries and he’s expected to have at least 2 more.
This NY Giants tight end has gone through unimaginable hardships, and it is unlikely he will ever be able to play in the NFL again because of the damage done.

But, even if just for a few seconds, Daniel’s kids were able to take their daddy’s mind off the pain, and bring a huge smile to his face again.
Daniel limped up the stairs on crutches, and was greeted first by his adorable daughter, and then his son yelled “Daddy!!”
They were so enthused to see their dad return home. Click below to watch the video that Daniel posted to his Instagram:
These kids got their daddy back, and to them it means more than any glory he’d get on the field.
We wish Daniel Fells a great recovery!
