Keiran Cable, from South Wales left his former life behind to dedicate himself to spending time with his girlfriend, Jess Ferguson.
Since the 20-year-old met his new love Jess, 19, he has decided to spent all his time with her, neglecting his friends.

Keiran’s friend, and organizer of the funeral Ben Sullivan said they called on the fake funeral because it felt like his friend had ‘died’ after his new relationship with Jess.

Ben said:
“None of us had seen him since then and he wasn’t replying to any of our group texts or mails. A couple of weeks ago we were all in the pub and we all started saying RIP Keiran. So we decided if he wasn’t going to come out with us and was going to pretend he was dead then we’d organize a funeral for him.”
So after being away for the holidays, Keiran returned home and was meeting his friends at a pub to watch the Rugby World Cup.
When he got there, he was flabbergasted to discover that 50 of his friends had organized a fake funeral for him!

The attendees to the fake funeral were all close friends of Keiran’s who have known him for four or five years, most of which play with Cable on the local football team.

They all wore suits to the mock send-off and handmade a blue coffin with initials KC.

There was even a fake vicar and they sang a bunch of football songs as hymns, and even borrowed a hearse for the event!

One of Cable’s friends sang a song in memory of him to the tune of the Kaiser Chiefs’ “Ruby.”

“I was in complete shock and didn’t know what to do or say,” Cable told Wales Online. “My cheeks were aching from smiling so much. The boys made a massive effort and it was definitely a day to remember.”
Sullivan said Cable’s girlfriend actually took the whole thing pretty well. “Don’t think my missus would,” he said.
