Drug dealers and potheads alike, we here at Life Daily have a public service announcement:
If the cops pull you over with marijuana in the car, do not try to convince them you were simply “buying a salad.” The St. Mary’s Police Department of Georgia recently pulled a man over who claimed the 1lb bag of marijuana in his car was a salad. The cops weren’t buying his tale. They posted a photo of the confiscated “salad” on Facebook with the following caption:
No matter how hard you try to convince us this green leafy stuff is salad and you’re just coming back from the store going to make a chef salad, Well Sous Check UP! A SALAD THIS IS NOT!!
Richard Reliford (the umm…chef) was arrested and jailed according to the Facebook post.
Naturally, the internet, who is rarely shy about chiming in their two cents, had a few things to add.
Facebook user, Lisa Toal commented, “and I was going to offer up some ranch dressing!”
While Steven Wiggs, another user commented that somebody needed to arrest Reliford’s drug dealer. “If that’s supposed to be a pound…he just got robbed LOL. (Or so I’ve be told).” Nice save Steven Wiggs…nice save.
And in case you’re wondering what Reliford’s bagged chef salad looks like, St. Mary’s made sure to post the photo to Facebook:
