If there is one time a year when anything seems possible, it’s the holiday season…

December is one month when surprises are hiding around every corner – and that’s especially true at Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum in our nation’s capital. Between tourists visiting from all over the world, families spending quality time together and kids visiting on school trips, it’s always busy in this incredible institution.

To spread a little holiday cheer and kick off the holiday season with some true magic in the air, the United States Air Force Band decided to stun visitors with an unexpected performance…and as you can expect, the result was truly magical.

It’s easy to assume that military bands are all business…

Yet these Airmen and women prove that the holiday season has everyone a little more jolly than usual.

As you can see in the following clip, it was definitely a good day to visit the National Air and Space Museum, as the huge crowd gets the shock of a lifetime when they find themselves in the midst of a flash mob performance to Bach’s “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring.”

If this doesn’t put you in the holiday spirit, nothing will! Who needs Christmas pop songs after hearing this beautiful classic?
