Watch This Cute Slow Loris Take His First Nibble Of Rice

If you have ever seen a loris, then you already know they have the saddest eyes in the animal kingdom.

Even when they are happily eating a treat, they still look pretty sad, as if they are about to cry tears of joy:

This is due to the fact that they have “sad eyebrows.” The shape and design of the camouflage around their eyes make us humans reminisce on sadness. We associate that shape and size with tears. In actually, lorises don’t even have eyebrows, they just always look as if they are about to spill there soul to you over a glass of whiskey.

And if you thought that was sad and adorable, wait till you see a cautious loris eating a ball of rice for the first time.

He approaches it with sensitivity as if he’s been fooled before and ended up with his heartbroken (or at least a yucky taste in his mouth). But then he discovers that he actually enjoys the rice quite a bit, so he goes back for seconds and thirds.

The little dude likes the rice so much, he eats the whole thing.
