Who are the USA Freedom Kids?
Well, they are three young girls who recently performed a thought-provoking song and dance at a Donald Trump presidential rally on Wednesday night in Pensacola, Florida.
The girls wore patriotic dresses, and sang lyrics like:
Cowardice
Are you serious?
Apologies for freedom, I can’t handle this.
When freedom rings, answer the call!
On your feet, stand up tall!
Freedom’s on our shoulders, USA!
Enemies of freedom face the music, c’mon boys, take them down
President Donald Trump knows how to make America great
Deal from strength or get crushed every time
Musicians like R.E.M. and Aerosmith are probably happy that Donald, at least didn’t use their music, as they had previously asked Trump to stop using their songs in campaign events. Donald dubs this his official campaign song, “The Official Donald Trump Anthem.”
The unusual ballad was written one year ago by the manager of the USA Freedom Kids, Jeff Popick. Popick originally wrote the song for Lt. General Patton, who led the United States Army to liberate Italy during World War II, and says he changed it for Donald Trump after hearing he wanted a leader like Patton to help defeat ISIS.
Popick is a big fan of Trump, saying he has read every one of his books.
“I’ve studied Donald Trump personally, and I’ve read every book he’s written, and I think he’s a genius on many fronts,” Popick told New York Magazine. “He’s always inspired me.”
But others aren’t so fond of the new song, and people on Twitter are comparing it to North Korean Dictator Kim Jong II’s celebratory ceremonies:
