Here’s something you definitely don’t see every day!
As you can see in this incredible video of one scuba diver’s wild encounter, just about anything can happen under the sea. Worst case scenario is that you come face to face with Jaws. Best case scenario? I’d have to go with what happens in this next incredible clip.
Posted to YouTube by Stargazer Pictures, the following video shows the moment one snorkeler in western Australia got the surprise of a lifetime.
“I stuck my arm into a small underwater cave and was surprised to have an Octopus latch onto my arm with all it’s strength” the snorkeler wrote.
He was looking for rock lobster (no, not that Rock Lobster…the spiny kind) off the coast of Perth when the cephalopod latched on for dear life.
“It wouldn’t budge for a few minutes and several attempts at pulling it off were unsuccessful as it would just latch onto my other arm,” he wrote, but luckily the octopus didn’t want to hold him hostage forever.

“Eventually it escaped to a seagrass bed with some probing.”
Either way, this is one video you have to see to believe…
