Hollywood actor Gary Sinise is best known for his role in Forrest Gump when he played double amputee and Vietnam veteran Lieutenant Dan.
Recently, when appearing on Fox News, quadruple amputee Staff Sgt. Travis Mills phoned in to thank Sinise for all the work the actor has done.
Mills is one of the five surviving quadruple amputee service members who were hurt in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Currently, he lives in a home with his wife and daughter that was made possible through the foundation.
The vet was overcome with emotion and gratitude as he gave a warm thank you to Gary Sinise. You can watch the extremely touching moment by clicking play below:
