When couple Hannah Yarker and Kyle Armstrong  gave birth to their twin daughters in April 2015, they couldn’t believe their eyes.

Hannah is white and Kyle is of mixed-race, so they naturally assumed their twin daughters will either take after mom’s genes or dad’s. But when their twin daughters came out- one white and one black, they were overjoyed!

Stunned new mom said, “I can’t believe I have one of each!”

But the twins aren’t just opposite when it comes to their skin color, according to their parents, Myla, and Anaya’s personalities are different in every way too.

“Myla is always on the move- she’s already, although backwards, while Anaya’s more laid back.”

Hannah says, “We can’t believe they’re twins– they’ve got the same birthday and the same mum and dad but they’re just complete opposites in every way.”

The parents admit that it took them a while to notice that the twins were different, but now their skin tones are even more process.

Myla takes after her dad with dark skin, brown eyes and brunette hair, and Anaya is more like her mom with a pale complexion, light eyes, and light hair.

Normally, non-identical twins inherit different genes as they come from separate eggs, but as Kyle carries genes for black and white skin, Anaya inherited one code while Myla inherited another.

This occurrence is said to have a million-to-one chance of happening.
