Losing a wallet is a terrible feeling.

When Taylor Sloan of Santa Rose, California dropped her wallet at a Super Motocross event in Oakland, she thought it was lost for good.

Sloan immediately got a new drivers license, and cancelled her debit card, but to her surprise she received an unexpected call from her mother. Apparently, a 10-year-old boy named Nasim Lawrence found the wallet at the motocross event, and sent it back to Taylor’s mother’s home, which was the address on her license. Nasim included a really sweet letter with the wallet, and it read:

Dear Ms. Sloan,

My name is Nasim Lawrance and I am 10 years old. I found your wallet on the ground at the Super Motocross event in Oakland. I know how it feels to lose something and I wanted to make sure you got your wallet back. Hopefully, I have made you smile and you are happy to have your money and ID back. I am glad I found it instead of some bad person who would steal from you. You look like a very nice person who does nice things for people so I wanted to do something nice for you. Plus it’s the honest thing to do.

Sincerely,

Nasim

Sloan was overjoyed, and after speaking to Nasim’s mother, she said, “He was so worried about me getting it in the mail that he made her pay extra money to track it.”

Sloan is currently mailing Nasim a thank you letter, and a bag of candy. “He’s pretty excited about that bag of candy,” she said.
