A paralyzed man from the United Kingdom has just become a hero for a disabled boy and his family.
Seven years ago, Dan Black was knocked off his bicycle in a serious accident that left him paralyzed. One day he was able to walk, and the next day he wasn’t.
Before the accident, the 28-year-old enjoyed playing guitar, singing, and riding a bike:
Over the course of a few years, Black managed to raise £20,000 for stem cell research that could allow him to walk again in the somewhat distant future. However, rather than using that money to fund research for himself, he made a great sacrifice.
This is 5-year-old Brecon Vaughan, who needed £60,000 for surgery for his cerebral palsy, allowing him to walk unaided:
Dan was simply attempting to raise money for research so he was still years away from walking. After receiving the donation, Brecon went on to get the surgery, which was a great success.
