Australia is home to many unique creatures, but the one you’re about to see may be the cutest.
When security guard Anna-Maria was finishing up her night shift, she noticed something unusual down a stormwater drain in Queensland.
“I was at work, about to finish night shift, and was told that a security guard had rescued a platypus from a stormwater drain found near the Caboolture station,” John Summers, the shift supervisor told Mashable Australia.
The furry creature turned out to be an adorable platypus, which is a monotreme, meaning a mammal that lays eggs.

While many creatures have been found wandering the stations and tracks at Queensland Rail, this platypus, named Percy is by far the cutest.

Once Anna-Maria found him, he was immediately taken to the Australia Zoo.

We are glad Percy is safe and sound!
