Flight Attendant Marries Fiancé Mid-Air To Include Mom With Stage 4 Cancer

My favorite thing about weddings is how each one reflects a couple’s true love, special interests, and unique personalities.

We here at Life Daily have seen our fair share of wacky, unconventional weddings, but this next story might just take the three-tiered cake.

Much like this emotional story about a bride and groom who brought the wedding to her sick mother’s bedside, Alaska Airlines flight attendant Kristy Stratton knew she had to do something a little different for her nuptials to her soul mate.

Since 2014, Kristy’s mom Billie Jo has been fighting for her life, suffering from stage 4 lung cancer. Her one wish before she passes was to see her daughter get married, where she works, and how she lives.

Seeing as Kristy met fiancé Jim Stratton on a layover flight from Los Angeles to Seattle, she decided there was no better place for them to get hitched – and for her mom to experience it all – then on that same flight, six years later and thousands of feet in the air.

In the touching video below, we see Billie Jo get her dying wish in the most beautiful way, all while dozens of lucky travelers got some amazing in-flight entertainment!
