High school choir teacher Gabrielyn Watson has touched many lives, so her choir students did something incredible to let her know just how much she was loved.
After hearing Ms. Watson recently took seven months off to battle multiple myeloma and now is in complete remission, he former students knew they had to see her.
A group of the students gathered at Chicago’s Morgan Park High School to surprise Ms. Watson with a rendition of Amazing Grace, and former American Idol season 10 finalist, Peter Frank even part in the performance.
Ms. Watson thought she was going to a meeting at school, when her students stepped into the hallway and started belting Amazing Grace.
The surprise was sponsored by Kleenex, and it shows 59-year-old Ms. Watson dropping to the floor after her students started to sing.
Ms. Watson has been teaching choir for 17 years, so to have her students do this brought immense joy to her heart.
When Ms. Watson gained her composure, she joined into the singing and dancing with her former students.
