William Ledbetter recently proposed to his girlfriend of two years, Paige Evans, but he also wanted to include her adorable daughter.
They would be forming a new family after all, so Ledbetter did something really beautiful to include her. He decided to “propose” to Maddie as well by getting down on one knee and asking Maddie, “You want to be my daughter forever, too?”
The tear-jerking moment received millions of views when it was posted to YouTube last year.
Ledbetter told the Huffington Post that he proposed because he didn’t want Maddie to see pictures of the ring he got for Paige and feel left out. “So I actually got Maddie a ring as well, along with a necklace and earrings,” he said.
In the video, Ledbetter explains to 5-year-old Maddie that he just proposed to her mother and they are officially engaged. Maddie jumps for joy, and is unaware that her future step-dad has a special surprise for her.
Calling Maddie back to him, he proposes and takes out a mini ring fit just for her. Her reaction was so special, and she immediately hugged her step-dad.
