They’re only eight months old, but these two pees in a pod have been through a lot.
Twins Leia and Lauren were born eight months ago to Amber Yong and Peter Lok, two Singapore parents who run this sweet Instagram account.
[Leialauran via Instagram]Leia and Lauren have a lot to be grateful for, as do their parents. The twins were MOMO twins, or monochorionic and monoamniotic. This just means they shared the same amniotic sac in the womb.
[Leialauran via Instagram]“It is an extremely high-risk pregnancy,” said Lok. “Therefore, they were delivered two months premature (not many realized that they are actually preemies).”
[Leialauran via Instagram]While the girls first few weeks of life were tense, they are not healthy, happy babies. Their crafty parents have taken to Instagram to share their journey and the little girls are gaining viral fame at a young age.
