A goat is not normally an animal you see getting stuck on a power line.
It’s more common for cats, but not goats.
In central Greece last Wednesday, footage showed a poor goat hanging from its horns on a power line near the village of Sykourio. It somehow managed to hook its horns around the wire, and soon found himself dangling with no way of getting down.
Lucky for this goat, a group of rescuers were alerted to the animal’s dilemma and quickly set about trying to free him.
First, the team used a ladder to carefully nudge the goat towards to the top of the slope. But he was so high up that the crew had to stand on a van to reach him.
Once they were able to pull the goat a little closer, they looped a rope around his head and pulled him until he was close enough that they could unhook him from the wire.
The rescue proved to be very challenging, but the crew thankfully saved the goat.
Even if the goat was traumatized from the ordeal, there was no way of knowing it since moments after being rescued, he was back to business as usual.
