And let’s not forget this heartwarming World War II reunion, in which a veteran was reunited with his long lost love a lifetime later.

Perhaps one of our favorite reunion stories, however, happens when we watch the charming and surprising moments in which husbands return from war to surprise the love of their life.

In this case, it came after a 14-month deployment. Nearly a year after a half after leaving home to protect our country in Iraq, a Navy Chief Petty Officer came home to surprise his wife and daughter at the Cheesecake Factory.

She thought her evening would be filled with the sweetness of double chocolate cheesecake, and instead, it was filled with the savory taste of love and a tender heart.
