Science is cool, friends. Don’t ever let anybody tell you otherwise.

That’s because when you take the simple rules of physics and apply a little color and a catchy tune in the background, you end up with the coolest chain reaction video ever. It’s even cooler than this awesome clip we showed you of over 2,000 ping pong balls setting up the same number of mousetraps.

This time, we found the cool folks over at Hevesh5 who discovered that if you arrange popsicle sticks in a specific diamond pattern they will create a certain level of tension. Then you remove a weight from this tense situation, sit back, and watch the magic happen.

In this case it came in the form of a couple hundred colorful popsicle sticks flying through the air. I’ve ever seen something of this magnitude before so I was shocked when I watched this happen.

If you find this as cool as we do, please SHARE this video with friends and family. And don’t forget to tell us your feedback on Facebook. Likewise, if you yourself have conducted any neat experiments of your own that create a chain reaction as cool as this one, we’d love to know all about it.
