4-Year-Old Praised By Community For Knowing How To Save Mom’s Life

Mom Lisa Price-Jimenez owes a lot to her 4-yaer-old son. The young tot came to the rescue recently when he saved Mom’s life.

Lisa went into diabetic shock Tuesday afternoon, but fortunately her special needs son Rey knew exactly what to do to save the day.

“I keep telling him he’s a superhero and he doesn’t believe me,” Lisa told local news station. “I was crashing pretty badly and I had no way to get my blood sugar back up,” she explained.

When she passed out Rey knew just what to do. He grabbed his mom’s phone and called his dad, steps he’d only been shown a few times.

“I came to and he was on the phone with his dad and telling his dad that I was sleeping and I had fallen down,” Lisa said.

Minutes later, paramedics were on the way to save Lisa’s life. The Mom said she owes a lot to her son. If it weren’t for him, she could have fallen into a comatose state and might now be here right now.

“I was just in complete shock that he actually knew how to do it and knew when to do,” she said, talking about Rey’s quick dialing. “He has special needs and actually has a rare brain disorder called Schizencephaly, so I didn’t even think he was capable of doing anything like that.”

Lisa says her doctors adjusted her insulin levels and both her and the baby are doing okay.
