When you’re a new Mom, you’re used to the prodding fingers of curious family members and friends.
However, this new mother never expected to get attention from a member of the primate family. When young mother, Andrea Simpson brought her newborn son Caleb to the Smithsonian National Zoological Park in Washington DC, she found a not-too-distant cousin looking to learn more.
The orangutan, a strong female and mother herself, connected with Simpson and even started pointing fingers.
The adorable moment was all captured on camera by Simpson’s husband, who stood nearby. It just goes to show that whether you’re a human on the hunt, or an orangutan living in a zoo, we all love looking at giggling babies.
