…And the crowd goes wild!
That is EXACTLY what this Minnesota crowd did when Angela Ramey and her daughter, Grace, pulled off the unthinkable at a Bethany Academy half-time show.
Grace, a Minnesota student, was the top fundraiser in a school project helping raise money to feed the hungry. The grand prize was $4,000 put towards tuition…there was just one catch.
Grace could get the money only if Mom was able to make a basket from half court.
Mom, who is far from being a Lebron James, wound up for the umm…pitch. She got low in a nice squat, settled herself in the pose, and chucked the ball underhand–an unconventional method for making a basket, I must say.
And the ball flopped. It got nowhere near the basket and struck the ground with a solid, determined thud. But then something incredible happened. The ball came back for round two, bounced high over the court, and tucked itself inside the hoop like this dad tucking his daughter into bed.
So there you have it, folks. If at first you don’t succeed, cross your fingers, hold your breath, and hope the universe has your back.
