When it was time for 18-year-old McKenna Pilling to move out of her dorm room at Utah State University, her loving mother drove up to help.
Deanna drove from New York, and didn’t tell McKenna when she made it to the dorm, in an attempt to surprise her.
Deanna walked into what she thought was McKenna’s room and laid down on her bed.
She snapped a selfie and sent it to McKenna, only to discover she was in the wrong room!
McKenna told BuzzFeed News,
“No one was in there so she laid down for five minutes in the wrong bed and decided to send me a picture as a surprise.”
McKenna knew her mom was in the wrong room, since she was in her room.
And as soon as she told her, mom felt sick to her stomach and ran out. McKenna, however, decided to tweet her mom’s amazing text, and it has been retweeted over 18,000 times!
“My intention was only for family and friends to see, hence the caption, ‘Momma Pilling at it again,’ because the people I know know her as ‘Momma Pilling’,” Pilling said. “But once it got bigger and bigger we just couldn’t stop laughing because it was so unexpected.”
With all the publicity, Deanna tells her daughter, “I wish I would’ve taken a better picture.”
