Island Getaway Turns Into Unique Volunteer Opportunity For Vacation Seekers

We all want to volunteer our free time and make the world a better place in theory, but we also want to spend that same free time soaking up rays of sunshine on exotic beaches in the Bahamas.

Well, one organization has just come up with the perfect solution to make the world a better place WHILE they work on their tan. The charity known as Potcake Place is a special organization that can be found on Providenciales (part of the Turks and Caicos islands).

Since 2005, Potcake Place has been an awesome charity that rescues stray puppies from the streets of Providenciales.

At any point, the organization can have 50-70 rescue puppies in its care, and in a year, they have nearly five hundred puppies pass through their halls.

But it isn’t simply the fact that they rescue these awesome animals. No, Potcake Place also specializes in socializing puppies. Even if you don’t want to rescue one, vacationers can donate their valuable time by giving these animals one-on-one affection, attention, and love. After all, the world seems to have a shortage of that these days.

It’s an ingenious method that simultaneously socializes the puppies and gets people involved with and attached to the little guys.

Sometimes, vacationers even come home with a new pet to brighten their lives.

Potcake Place makes sure that the dogs get all their vaccinations, wormers, and other veterinary care that they might need. Even better: They’ll book dogs on a plane and take them to the airport to meet their new families!
