Have you ever seen a mentor do something inspiring that you thought you could mimic, only to try it out for yourself and discover you aren’t the mature, “adult” you thought you were?
Something relatable happened to a young elephant calf recently. A viral video that came to LifeDaily courtesy of Rumble, shows a baby elephant mimicking Mom.
Elephants in the animal kingdom are known to rub against trees with their tusks. It’s something the young calf would have seen a hundred times. According to this long, dry, and boring textbook, “elephants can break substantial tree branches to get at fresh outer twigs and leaves.” Essentially, they do it looking for food and water contained within the bark.
However, when this elephant made an attempt to take on a tree, he found himself in deeper than his trunk could reach. The baby struggled with the too-tall tree for a few moments, as babies tend to do. Then, he moved on to other, more interesting assortments the jungle has to offer, because that’s what babies do.
