Parents would do anything to protect their little ones from harm’s way, but as they grow older, it gets harder and harder to shield them from bad or upsetting experiences.
When one Toledo, Ohio mom found out her 7-year-old little girl was getting bullied at school, she knew she couldn’t show up at school and stop the bullies herself, but she had to do something to make the situation better for her daughter Audrianna.
Mom Alexandria Reynolds was crushed when she found out her 7-year-old was being bullied at school but suspects it’s because her daughter is a tomboy and loves riding dirt bikes. To make her daughter feel less alone, she decided to reach out to a local motorcycle club called The Punishers.
Despite their tough name, The Punishers is made up of police, firefighters, EMS, and soldiers, and love helping out in the community whenever they can. To help Audrianna, they decided to give the little girl a ride to school on a motorcycle.
“We got her a vest and told her to think of us like her uncles, and she is part of our family now, and if she needs anything let us know,” the group’s president, Daniel Bushey, said. “Any chance we get, we help kids out, we do in a heartbeat.”
“We were just trying to uplift her spirits and let her know that not everybody is mean and there are plenty of nice people in the world,” Reynolds said. “The guys have really done a wonderful job at helping us.”
