We all know a good hug on a bad day can bring us ‘back to life,’ but do hugs have the power to literally bring us back to life?
We’ve covered stories like this before. You may remember these twins who healed each other with just a touch. That touch went on to transform certain things that we know about medicine.
Again, we’ve found a miraculous story in which a touch transformed a life. Kate Ogg and husband David are parents of three. Before they were parents, they had issues conceiving for three years. Finally, after many disappointments, Kate found out she was pregnant.
but her story took an unexpected turn when she went into labor at just 26 weeks,Kate explained in a video released by Johnson’s Baby.
Kate was terrified throughout her whole labor and when it was finally over, she couldn’t breathe a sigh of relief quite yet. Doctors came into the room and told her and David that their daughter was safe and healthy, but t son Jamie was not going to make it.
This was a diagnosis Kate refused to accept. She immediately made David get undressed and climb into bed with her and Jamie, who she cradled motionless against her chest.
“I wanted as much body heat as possible because the baby was cold and I wanted him to be warm and alive,” Kate said.
The three of them lay there for two hours holding Jamie close to Kate’s heart, so his ear could hear her heart beating, according to TODAY. During that time they spoke lovingly to the baby, telling him that he had a twin sister named Emily he had to look out for and that they had big plans for him and his life.
The couple was bawling when Jamie finally moved. They called in the nurses and much to everybody’s shock, it looked like Jamie was going to survive.
