When John Hetlinger, an 82-year-old former Navy pilot appeared on NBC’s America’s Got Talent, he left the audience and the judges stunned!
Hetlinger is a retired navy pilot, and also an aerospace engineer, who worked as the program manager for the Costar instrument that helped repair the famous Hubble space telescope. After hearing his background, no one was not expecting what was about to come out of his mouth.
Hetlinger performed a rendition of Drowning Pool’s 2002 death metal ballad, Bodies, and left everyone speechless. The reaction from the audience was mixed- some people shielded their eyes from his banshee screams, and others jumped up and down in a fist-pumping frenzy.
Hetlinger’s performance, however, impressed Drowning Pool, who shared the 82-year-old’s video on their Facebook page calling him a “Bad ass !!!” They even offered him an opportunity to perform with them in an upcoming show.
