However, according to Hotel Price Index, Indonesia’s most popular tourist destination has seen a decrease in hotel prices by 12 percent.

The Great Barrier Reef is home to the world’s largest coral reef systems, however climate changes, pollution, and industrial development threaten the reef. If you’ve ever wanted to see the amazing coral and wildlife of the reef, but couldn’t afford the steep flight costs, now is the time. According to Expedia, flight prices to Cairns have dropped by approximately 30 percent, and package deals are down more that 40 percent.

With amazing cites like the Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace, Istanbul was recently listed as Trip Adviser’s number three travel destination for 2015. However, hotel prices have been falling recently due to unrest in other parts of the Middle East. Since it’s not as well known as other major resort destinations, you’ll avoid the inflated resort pricing, which will help your money go further.

Local food usually costs between US $2-3 per meal, and a beer costs about $1. With sites like the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and more than 600 temples and pagodas, the charming Vietnamese capitol will immerse you in centuries of history.
