Little Girl Is Kidnapped From Her Grandmother’s House By Her Mother

Unfortunately, in the world we live in, kidnappings are an all too real part of life. We like to cover heroic stories of kidnapping attempts that end well thanks to quick-thinking Moms, but sometimes this is not the case.

In fact, it is in rare scenarios that the Moms themselves are the kidnappers.

This week, we bring you the awful story of 3-year-old Layla Munholland who was kidnapped in the dead of night by somebody she should trust.

Layla was staying at her maternal Grandmother’s house in Arkansas when her mother, Chelsea Munholland, showed up sometime between 1 and 5 a.m, according to Van Buren Police.

Chelsea Munholland lost custody of her daughter, and the little girl has since been in the care of her grandmother.

Police said a man identified as Herbert Allen Thomas, 30, of Fort Smith, was also involved in the kidnapping and the two may be traveling in a 2006 grey Toyota Camry with tags reading 245USV.

The little girl stands at 3 feet tall with blonde hair and bright blue eyes. She was wearing pink pajamas at the time of the kidnapping.

While we don’t know what happened here, or why the mother lost custody in the first place, we do know that situations like these are incredibly complex and tense. Please say a little prayer for this family as they struggle through these tough times.
