You can’t wait for the day your kid starts talking, and then once they start, you sometimes wish they would stop.

A promotional video for the FX show Better Things hit the nail on the head when it recently showed what happens when toddlers pose awkward questions.

“Mommy, what’s a porno,” the 3-year-old poses to his unsuspecting mother. And just like that, this scared Mom has to face a topic no parent ever wants to talk about with their child, especially their 3-year-old.

Unfortunately, the world we live in is one where even 3-year-olds hear about these kinds of things whether we want them to or not.

The clip comes from Better Things, a new FX comedy series about parenthood in the modern era.

Better Things is a new comedy series on FX co-created by Pamela Adlon and Louis C.K., starring Pamela Adlon as “Sam Fox,” a single, working actor with no filter trying to raise her three daughters in Los Angeles.
