Mother Arrested After Shooting A Man She Found In Her Daughter’s Bedroom

An Oklahoma mother was arrested after shooting a man she found in her 16-year-old daughter’s bedroom.

According to local news KFOR, 34-year-old Valerie Fowler was arrested for assault and battery with a deadly weapon.

However, not much is known about the case. Here’s what we do know.

Police said they received two emergency calls around 7:30 a.m. on Monday August 29.

“We arrived at one location where we found a 31-year-old male who had been shot. He was on the porch of a residence” said Larry Rhodes, Garvin County sheriff.

But, investigators said the shooting happened at another home.

Investigators said Fowler called “to report that she shot a male inside her house,” according to Rhodes.

The shooting is believed to have happened inside Fowler’s home, according to police, who also found a gun in the residence. The male victim is not being identified at this time nor is his relation to Fowler known.

“He was treated at the scene and transported to an Oklahoma City hospital by medical helicopter,” Rhodes said. “His injuries were non-life threatening. It did appear to the chief and I that he suffered a gunshot wound to an extremity. ”
