Scorned woman Carmen Chamblee thought she was engaging in the ultimate act of revenge when she decided to set fire to her ex-boyfriend’s car.
Except there was one problem…
Chamblee set fire to a white four-door Honda Accord that wasn’t even her ex-boyfriend’s. Someone caught her on camera dousing the trunk of the car with a flammable liquid and using a rag to ignite the flame.
Chamblee was oblivious to the fact that it wasn’t even her ex’s car, and her embarrassing attempt was captured on video. The surveillance video reached the Clearwater, Florida, Police Department, who went after her for a count of second-degree arson, and then they posted the video on Facebook.
The man who actually owned the car is Thomas Jennings, who told WFTS that he had never seen the woman before.
Lesson of the day: If you’re going to attempt to blow up your ex’s car (which you shouldn’t be doing anyway), make sure it’s actually his.
