As if having your parents embarrass you by showing off hilarious, adorable, and often very personal baby photos to your first boyfriend or girlfriend, or a new friend wasn’t bad enough when you were younger, Facebook makes it a lot easier for those photos to come out of hiding after many years.
When shared with the right – or wrong – people, those seemingly innocent photos from when you were younger can very easily go viral… or cause some problems in your life.
That’s exactly why one woman in Austria is going as far as taking legal action after she says her baby photos were shared on the site against her will.
As reported byThe Local, the 18-year-old woman has been the victim of total embarrassment after her parents have posted baby photos that include her being potty trained, having her diaper changed, or even in the nude since 2009.

“They knew no shame and no limit – and didn’t care whether it was a picture of me sitting on the toilet or lying naked in my cot — every stage was photographed and then made public,” the 18-year-old said to The Local.

However, the teen’s father believes that he has the right to share them because he took the photos. The Local reports that when the lawsuit goes to court in November it could have big ramifications for Internet use in Austria and laws about what photos parents share of their children.
