Photographer Catches ‘Projectile Poo Launch’ During Messy Newborn Shoot

Everybody knows being a parent can be a pretty messy job, but when one man became a father in 2014, he discovered just how messy that job can be.

You see, Al Ferguson and his wife thought doing a newborn shoot shortly after their son was born would be a great idea. So they called up photographer Kristy Grant and arranged a shoot with the talented photographer.

The couple discussed the idea of doing a nude shoot with their newborn, draping the child over Dad’s arm, as is popular in so many newborn photos.

The shoot went well in the beginning. The baby slept soundly (a near-impossibility for so many newborn shoots), but then Dad felt a rumble from down under and he knew it was already too late.

The spontaneous moment was captured on camera resulting in one of the more hilarious photos caught on camera that year and eventually making its way around the internet before it garnered viral fame.

Fortunately, Dad had a good sense of humor about the funny photo.

“I went through a whole host of thoughts. Firstly for the shaggy carpet, secondly my arm, thirdly sheer hysterics, fourthly what I should do with him and lastly more laughter,” he told Mashable.

We’re glad he took it with a grain of salt. There’s really no point crying over spilled milk…or any other spilled bodily fluids for that matter.
