A Kentucky daycare center is under fire after lining students up and having them play a game where they agree to be smacked for yogurt.

According to WDKY, state officials investigated New Creation Childcare located in Lexington, Kentucky found the daycare was responsible for multiple violations.

A report said two male staff members lined the students up and had them play a game they called “Smack for a Snack.” The children allowed themselves to be hit with a stick in the leg or on the hand. In exchange, they received a cup of yogurt.

It’s not clear why the employees played this game, but at least one staff member has been charged with second-degree assault.

This came after parents noticed something odd in their kids. Reports also stated at least two students had noticeable bruising.

The report also noted that the ratio of students to administrators in the room was not up to code. There were 27 children present to just 1 staff member.

The daycare has as a result been placed under immediate sanctions, which call for increased supervision of the center.
