Meet Tea, a stunning Afghan Hound, who has the most beautiful set of locks we’ve ever seen.
Tea is from Sydney and she became famous when a photo of her went viral on her owner’s Facebook page and generated over 1 million shares! Now she’s being dubbed the “World’s Prettiest Dog” by the internet.
Owner Luke Kavanagh told NewsLocal, “Even our weekend walks draw a crowd. She pretends she doesn’t need the attention, but she definitely loves it, just like any supermodel.”
He believes that people are so drawn to Tea because of her silky coat, “coupled with that dignified look that Tea has, but that’s just her being her,” says Kavanagh.
Tea’s beauty even landed her a modeling gig for dog food brand Royal Canin and an ad campaign for Harriot and Hounds dog perfume.
Sadly for all of her adoring fans, Tea is going into retirement, as her show preparation was taking too much time away from Kavanagh spending time with his family.
“Her retirement is due to no other reason than I reached a point where showing (grooming and show day) was taking me away from spending time with my family and I want to prioritize them over campaigning my dog,” Kavanagh wrote on Facebook.
“I have such a special bond with Tea & we have shared a lifetime of wonderful moments together. On show day she exemplifies Afghan hound, she is dignified, aloof and most certainly displays a keen fierceness. At home she is such a character and really loving her retirement,” Kavanagh continued.
“Whether she’s naked or draped in the finest of silk gowns, Tea will always be my queen,” Kavanagh says.
