Jules Leotard may have invented the leotard for gymnasts in the mid-1800s, but it wasn’t perfected until 2012 when an equally gifted genius stuck his design on their dog.

Yes, friends, the Shed Defender is here to save every pet parent’s living room. It’s a unique and hilarious leotard that your dog can wear that has a special purpose. While providing entertainment (and flexibility, should your dog take up gymnastics), the innovative garment is intended to keep hair off the couch, car, and comforter.

Inspired by the tremendous amount of hair their dogs shed, the inventors thought of ways to keep the shedding at bay. Realizing everyone was too concerned with the dog hair coming off pets’ bodies, the inventor realized it might be a good idea to keep it stuck as close as possible to them.

Of course, if your dog is anything like mine, he’ll probably put up more than a fight as you struggle to get him inside this intricate innovation.
